The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

We went here Wednesday 16th April evening, me and my wife, I had curry half n half, and my wife had corned beef pie, mash and peas, we really enjoyed the meals, good portions, and lovely staff, plenty of selection of drinks, all in all a good visit?

Lunch today (29 march)- party of 8 .Could not fault the food and service ( the chef even made some fresh GF burgers for one of our party. Will definitely return

Situated beside the Blaenavon Heritage Centre and what a nice surprise, plenty of choice of food with lovely friendly lady's to help you make your decision.

What an excellent visit we had! The bar staff and landlady were so welcoming and funny, we could have stayed for hours. Dogs welcome too, perfect stop off on our canal boat holiday, would most certainly return.

Been here for breakfast and Sunday lunch and never disappointed!! Today we went for our Christmas Dinner get together and it was outstanding!! The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. They really make your experience special and they go the extra mile !! The trifle was Delicious!!(so is the food)😁😁🤣🤣👍👍👍👍

It's the second time I've been this year. I'm only the one in our group of six gluten free. The food was brilliant. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would go a third time . Also I've already booked a Christmas meal for 38 of my family. Very good experience 👌

Ordered a fry up to nurse a hangover. Was delicious and good value for money. Also got a banana milkshake which is the nicest milkshake i’ve had in a long time. Definitely ordering again.

Another good meal at The Arches, this time on Easter Sunday. Warm welcome, and very quick service by a friendly waitress. Roast Beef and Chicken dishes were tasty and much enjoyed. Drinks reasonably priced.

Special night here for my husbands birthday and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely atmosphere and food. They brought his birthday cake out and sang happy birthday it was so nice kids all over excited too. What a lovely place.

Good restaurant. Eat here very often.
