Absolutely amazing place. Great service, great food. Nothing was too much trouble for staff. Will definitely be back.

Looking forward to a return visit. Dog friendly, lovely were staff and the food was amazing.

All day breakfast was nice and large portion too. Family members had the burger and another had a lasagne again good large portions and food was enjoyed. Would I go again? Yes. 👍

I can’t recommend the Globe enough. Fantastic food, fantastic staff and all at a reasonable price. Been going to the Globe for a couple of years now and have never had a bad experience. Great for family meals and couples too!

We come here regularly for a spot of lunch both in the week and on a Sunday and have never been disappointed. We have chosen a number of meals on the menu and they have always been great quality, tasty and plentiful and the service second to none. For our latest lunch here we had the Chef's Lasagne and the Broccoli and Cream Cheese Potato Bake. Both meals were plentiful and clearly home made with wonderful chunks of minced beef and oodles of cheese in the lasagne - a big shout out to the chef Dewi who is doing a wonderful job! We will be back soon and would highly recommend you do too.

We absolutely loved this place when we visited a couple of years back. The food was faultless and very nice which prompted us to book for mothers day. We drove from England to be here because that's how good it was. But unfortunately today we all opted for a carvery and it really wasn't very pleasant at all. The selection of 3 meats was good but the quality of them was really poor, it was all very dry and fatty! The beef was gray in colour and had a lot of what seemed, uncooked fat around one edge of it all, the gravy was "lumpy", the Yorkshire puddings were soggy and the veg was below average. The stuffing balls were spot on but that was about it. The service is decent but the food today was very disappointing. Won't be returning for a carvery but if I'm ever passing again I'd definitely pop in for your other menu.

The globe has been our go to place in porthcawl for over 7 years, since purchasing a holiday home close to the venue. We have usually had a great experience there... however recently we visited and my husband asked if the football would be shown.... the bar staff put the football on for him and we played some pool and bought a couple of rounds. Our plan was to stay for the afternoon watch the game, and then order some food later on. Unfortunately at half time the game was turned over to the rugby. Upon going to the bar and asking for the game to be put back on I was very rudely advised that because we were the only ones who wanted to watch the game other people who came in after us took priority! We would have appreciated some warning that the game was going to be switched over so we would have had an option to go somewhere else. The attitude of the staff was disgusting our family will never return. If you plan your day around sport don't go here because they turn your game off half way depending on where the money is!

Best food we’ve had out in porthcawl! Very cheap for amazing tasty Food, portion sizes were incredible! Definitely visiting again when back on the next holiday! 10/10**

I have been to this venue many a time. I’ve been with my family, been with friends and have also been there with my children their friends and my two dogs. Cally and her staff are so lovely. We always have the best of welcome. Whether we dine there for lunch or dinner, or go for a casual drink at teatime or just to watch sport or live music, we always enjoy ourselves and nothing is ever too much for the bar staff. I highly recommend the Globe to anyone looking for a family friendly venue in Porthcawl.

The Globe is a great pub with a good restaurant. The menu is varied, with excellent vegetarian and vegan options and the best fish and chips around! The service is fast and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely night. Highly recommend.

Lovely place and staff members are so hospitable! The food is always spot on and there is such a variety that anyone can find something to eat!

I don’t go out often as feeling the money pinch in the cost of living, but when I do, or even when family visit from England, this is our go to pub ALWAYS!! I remember my now 7 year old being 3 days old, and we came here for food even then!! Still go to this date, which says a lot about the place! I’ve never once had a bad meal here, and Cally and her staff cannot be more welcoming or accommodating even if you’ve just popped in without booking. Absolute lovely vibe in there, and always looking forward to our next visit. Reasonably priced and delicious food and drinks too! Just wish I had some photos to post, but we never take any! Excellent Beer, especially the Stella, at a great price. The food is on point every time we visit, which is regularly. The staff are always efficient, friendly and helpful. For the Rugby, football or just a cracking night out I highly recommend. See you next week

Well where do we start .... We have been coming to the Globe for a few years now and have NEVER had a bad experience!! We came for a pre Christmas dinner with friends and family and it was beautiful The food is always beautiful in taste and always served hot and fresh The CARVERY is to die for ... whenever we are I'm Porthcawl on a Sunday we book in. Staff here are always polite and welcoming !! They can't do enough for you. The whole place is spotless and they have a lovely beer garden that also offers shade in the summer months. Also our fur babies can join us in the bar area. Lots of live music events offered here which is an added bonus after a lovely meal 😋 Well done Cally and all her staff keep up the good work we will see you again this weekend when the caravan park opens back up 😍

Staff are always welcoming and friendly , good service & food . I always go for the chicken & bacon salad , my husband & friends thoroughly enjoyed the fish & chips , burger and the Philly cheese steak . Will definetly be visiting again...

Had a lovely carvery today, beef was perfect, as were the roasties, crunchy but fluffy. Veg was cooked to my liking (soft) and the gravy was absolutely beautiful, meaty and thick...we'll be back for sure.

We brought a group of families from our charity along for lunch on New Year’s Eve. The food was delicious, the surroundings very welcoming and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable too which made it affordable for us to bring 27 people along!

came here for a carvery on new years day and all I can say was wow the food blew us away everything was stunning lots of meat the roasties was out of this world the pigs in blankets was amazing would 10000% recommend this place

Took almost an hour. Nobody said there was a long wait. I only ordered chicken salad Also peppered chicken, which was served on a cold plate food not hot. Disappointed.

22/12: Couldn't be bothered to cook Had food inside as it was too cold outside. The only table left was the one by the door, so a little chilly at times. Very busy all around & as always the food was top notch. Today we had a prime beef burger & a vegan burger, of which both were delicious 😋 our dog behaved himself & sat under the table. Will go back in the new year ✨️ 31/07: Had a FANTASTIC lunch today. Instead of cooking, we decided to eat out & I've been told to try one of our locals. arrived at 12.30 & the restaurant was packed but as it was a nice afternoon we ate outside. went to the bar & ordered our drinks & food. Excellent service as our previous visit. Then a member of staff bought out a bowl of water for our dog, along with a massive portion of turkey & I mean it was huge. 5 minutes later we were asked to queue for our carvery. I had beef & pork & my wife had doorstop slices of turkey. with roast potatoes & all the trimmings, my plate was full of fresh cooked amazing food. Next there was 25 minutes of silence while we ate our main course. Sadly there was no room for pudding. Staff were on the ball all the time we were there, collecting glasses, clearing plates & cleaning tables. We would highly recommend this pub for either just a drink, food or a night out. Looking forward to our next visit. Late June:It's like the tardis, much bigger on the inside. Staff 10/10 - friendly, polite & helpful. Even had a bowl of water for our dog. Big car park & ample outside tables. This was our 1st vist & will definitely be returning 😁

Visited The Globe on 12 December for a Christmas Dinner. It was the worst Christmas Dinner I have ever had. The pate starter was tasteless but the main course was the worst! I had turkey, it was served as 2 'hard' lumps - they couldn't...

I visited the Globe this evening and I have to say that it's the worst Christmas meal I have had!!! I had a starter of Pate which was absolutely tasteless followed by a disgusting turkey dinner. I don't like roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, there were NO boiled potatoes and the only other veg were 'watery' carrot batons, sprouts (Which I hate) and a red cabbage which I can only describe as a pickled red cabbage gone wrong!!! I paid £25 for 'hard' turkey, half a dozen carrot batons and some gravy. I will NEVER go there ever again, a disgusting rip off!!!!!

Poor, hardly any veg, only roast potatoes, way below standard, and expensive. Desert was so synthetic and disappointing, the good reviews must be friends and family, won't come here again.

I'm mixed in saying this, we had lovely food and one amazing server!!! I get it's not easy running a pub. I myself would take every opportunity to teach how to be efficient in basic service. I really got lucky with the lovely young lady and the chef who catered to my dietary needs. I'll definitely come back because of you two.

Lovely pub, Stella was to die for. Had scampi and chips with gravy corn sauce. Props to the chef never heard of gravy corn before but it’s a game changer. Would highly recommend

The Sunday roast was absolutely amazing the meat was cooked perfect and had plenty of it our plates were full so much flavour and great value the deserts were lovely also..all the staff there are fab really welcoming nothing is to much trouble nice quiet relaxing atmosphere.

Booked last minute for Sunday lunch and we were asked to arrive promptly for our 12pm table as they needed it back by 1pm. This was no problem and when we arrived at 11.55 we were stopped at the door and told they were not yet open. A member of staff arrived couple of minutes later and was let in by what appeared to be the manageress. She said she wouldn't keep us long and on noticing my mother was in a wheelchair said that wheelchair access was through the carpark at the back. We responded that this wasn't a problem as she could walk short distances and we would wait at the door. We then waited outside for another 5 minutes till we noticed some people entering by another door. We followed them in to what was the bar area and had to walk around to the restaurant area. We were annoyed that the manageress has not explained this when she left us at the side entrance, plus once at the restaurant area there were at least 20 other people already there, some already eating so they had clearly been allowed in before 12.00. After this the service was also slow and not particularly professional or friendly. The food was OK, nothing more.

Lovely place the staff worked none stop and they were very friendly, unfortunately the Sunday dinner was awful very bland no taste at all (the meat was ok), kids meals were good and plenty of it Lovely outside area very clean Very disappointed as the globe use to be fantastic for food

We had three meals here in September 2023 whilst staying at the Trecco Bay Holiday Park. The first two were spot on but the Fish & Chips meal let the side down. The fish was all batter & very little fish. We would still recommend this place & would return if in the area.

Elvis themed shows, great atmosphere

Stayed here for the Elvis weekend and it has been fantastic, the staff are impeccable, great with children and work really well. The facilities are fab and we will be returning. Food was delicious!

Lovely food lovely atmosphere. They were very busy due to the elvis weekend the landlady tried her best to cater for those booked and people just dropping in. There was an elvis tribute singed whi I must say was very good. We had the carvery which was served to us by a very lovely gentlemen. However we did think the sausages in the pigs in blankets were under cooked the bacon was just cooked. It didnt matter it didn't spoil the lovely food. I did think I would mention it to the young girl ( the blonde haired girl) as she cleared our tables I was polite and said to her we just thought you should be aware. As there was 6 of us and the sausages all looked the same inside and out. Well her response was very rude ... how did I know they were under cooked was her reply... Need I say anymore.

Cracking night out with a couple of elvis tribute acts, can't comment on the food as we didn't have any.

We have been coming here for years. Disappointed tonight by the attitude of the staff. We waited at the bar to pay for our food, after over 10 mins no one came. My husband rang the bell on the bar to get attention. Bar man came from the other bar, had an arsy attitude saying thanks for that mate, I’m busy then walked back into the other bar. I walked up to the restaurant to find a member of staff, lady was walking away from serving a table, I advised her of the issue, her attitude was he must have been busy, we are all busy and I am serving this table. At this point I was called back to the bar to pay. We could have walked out without paying as no one could be bothered to deal with us but we did not as we are honest people. Did not like how we were treated. Sadly after all these years we will not be going back in a hurry. Very disappointed as this was a nice place to go.

Rang last minute to see if there was a table available to book. Luckily there was. Food was amazing!! Utterly fantastic would visit Bridgend again just to eat here!! 2 Philly steaks, one steak with pepper corn sauce, all day English breakfast and a think it was called pick n mix of sea food which was divine!!

Not been here for a while, & the most recent visit was for the Sunday Carvery. There was a reasonable choice of Vegetables after the server provides you with the meat, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, pigs in blankets roast & mash potatoes. We would return again if in the area.

Absolute vile we have been here in the past and loved it we own a caravan in trecco bay so it’s ideal for us a lovely walk but we came at 7pm tonight ordered food for quarter past then at half 8 we asked where it was then told us that we could have a refund if we didn’t like the wait, 9pm came and they gave us food we said that we waited 2 hours and the server argued with my 70 year old nan saying she will throw our food in the bin if we don’t like it because she doesn’t like rudeness when it was not unreasonable to say we had waited so long. My 7 month old is with us and we had him with us so it was just all a big fuss ended up spending nearly 3 hours here with all these rude staff they absolutely ruined our night it was dead there while the rugby is on too so this should have been a red flag! Avoid at all costs! The blonde server is absolutely disgusting towards customers

Stopped for lunch with my mother warm friendly welcome from the owner and staff, immaculate decor spotless clean, ordered the Philly steak me and my mum medium rare and a garlic and cheesy garlic bread that come out was beautifully cooked and no fat on the meat whatsoever only priced 12.95 so very good value for money and will be visiting again thanks for a good service 😁😁😁

For the prices we paid, it was disappointing. We were on holiday and everyone said to give it a go. We were warned it was hit-and-miss. Unfortunately on our visit, it was a big big miss. Took over an hour for our meals to come out. They had been sat under a hot lamp for way too long and once the waitress had brought them, we never saw her again. We definitely won't be returning there. Which is a shame as it is a lovely-looking pub

Always sit outside because of the dogs...Nice beer garden...had Sunday lunch...very tasty and fresh...Nice portions!!was very busy(bank holiday sunday) but we did not wait long for our food!!always have good meals here!!

Excellent service, beautiful and delicious food as always. Was surprised how quiet it was for a school holiday time. But did enjoy the calm atmosphere very much.

The food and the service was great. We booked a table of 9 last minute and there was no issue in finding us seating. The whole family enjoyed the food, drinks, and atmosphere. We would have stayed longer but had to get leave to get the young kids to bed. Will definitely visit again.

Good food and reasonably priced. Service was good even though I think they where understaffed when I visited and it was getting busy. A good experience and would definitely eat there again.

Well what another amazing visit to one of our local pubs. Had not pre booked but were immediately given a table even though the restaraunt was very busy. Service was first class from landlady and staff, good banter from barman and waitresses. Food was excellent and served in good time. Was even informed that a table of 25 was about to order in case we wanted to get ours in quickly. Entertainment was a male singer but unfortunately had to leave to fetch grandchildren before he started. Will definitely be going again 😃

Mams 60th birthday meal. The place is lovely and the staff cant do enough for you, they were very helpful. Food was tasty with a good variety to choose from. Fair prices on the meals and good. Would deffo recommend and I'll certainly be going back again.

Staff were great but the food was a let down, hunters chicken was very dry and the lasagna was mainly pasta and cheese with very little mince and hardly any sauce. Safe to say we won’t be returning.

Very popular place glad I booked months in advance! Was staying at nearby Trecco Bay and wanted a Sunday lunch to celebrate a 65th birthday. Arrived and place was heaving but staff were so attentive and helpful. We had to wait 30 mins after our booked time to be asked to go to our table but staff kept coming and checking we were OK and giving us updates. We all had the carvery where everything was cooked beautifully and had everything you would expect . After our meal we had given the staff a cake to bring out for us and the young waiting staff did it brilliantly. Meal was reasonably priced service was first class and I would tell everyone to come here. 10/10
