Great food and good value!! The service was warm and the pancakes are delicious as always.

Not impressed with my visit unfortunately. The ‘large breakfast’ was a small serving spread out on a big plate. My eggs Benedict sauce only tasted of salt and the breakfast muffin was dry (no butter). Overpriced and left still hungry!

Grace was super polite and helpful.

Relaxed atmosphere. Good pancakes (though charging the same for bacon as fruit pancakes, when the latter had about 1/2 a banana, a couple of chopped strawberries and some blueberries is... suboptimal). The pancakes were good and service was quick. I do wonder if there's pressure on the staff to "up sell"?

I was recently at Bill’s and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is welcoming, the service impeccable and the food simply delicious. Highly recommend. My type of place. It has a rustic, industrial style which I like. The food is brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that I like my burger a bit hotter but certainly doesn't detract from the taste. Top gem of Cardiff

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with our 12 year old son. I had the full brunch plus a golden latte, and my son had three pancakes with biscoff and ice cream. We both enjoyed it very much and came away full. It was not cheap but I guess it was reasonable for a city centre location. Note that the bill automatically include a 12.5% service charge.

I’ve never been to a bill’s before and this place didn’t disappoint. We went for 1 3 course special menu and I went for a main and pudding. I chose the Caesar salad which came warm, which I love and my hubby went for the dumpling starter the fish goujons and doughnut pudding and I had the small chocolate pot. The quality of the food was good and the service very attentive The place itself was well decorated and all the tables were laid out well so it felt private at each table.

Very poor, breakfast was cold , we ordered kids drinks 4 times after 25 mins they finally arrived , also needed to ask 3 times for the kids breakfast we ordered and again arrived cold - would not recommend

Saturday lunch for family get together. Service was excellent, even with the restaurant being v busy. Quality of food was great, good portion sizes, and arrived incredibly quickly. Really liked the ability to pay at the table via QR code

So disappointed, the food may have been tasty but it was cold, we had to ask for one of the meals again as it didnt turn up, ordered drinks for the kids and had to ask 4 times before they eventually turned up. Even the pot of tea was cold.

Came for a family meal out on our trip to Cardiff, booked this hoping for the best. It did not disappoint. Amazing food, service and environment. If we lived in the area we’d be back all the time. We were served by will who provided excellent service.

Visited on a Saturday morning and it was busy. The food and service was excellent! Venue has interesting decor and a good ambiance. Pricing isn’t cheap but good quality establishment.

The food and the servie was really nice. Tytus is a really good server and he’s very accommodating.

Good lunch menu, ensuring standards

First visit accompanied by my daughter, visiting from London. She has a long career managing for large pub chains so has an eye for detail in these settings. We both had a really pleasant lunch with good food and great service, and will definitely be visiting again.

As a lone customer on a Friday night I felt welcome. Service was excellent and the food a reasonable price. Accessibility was good too.

It's a huge shopping mall where this friendly, unpretentious, not too expensive restaurant is located.

Not sure on all the good reviews... visited on New years eve, in the afternoon. Ordered 2x burgers and 2x sea bass. Waited for food for good 20-30min, my portion was missing, ended up waiting another 15-20min as they forgot to cook it... Desert never delivered, burgers flavourless - one portion returned to the kitchen, was also on the receipt. Luckily manager after discussed receipt issues was cooperative and taken out items we never consumed. Overall, I would say food very average (we didnt complain about fish, but it wasnt great at all), service less than average. I personally will avoid this place. Also, our table was right in the middle downstairs, felt very tight and were told not to talk as the baby was sleeping nearby... awkward.

Great service, lovely food and chilled atmosphere

A rather uninspiring entry, no pleasantries whilst waiting. We were given a table which lacked privacy and looked to have been placed to squeeze people in. My orange juice had around 6 large ice cubes, which meant I only received about half a glass of juice, I did point this out, and was given a fresh glass. The food was very good, however. Yet, we refused the service charge for obvious reasons. Overall, it's not a brilliant experience.

Cold food with zero taste. Ordered the big breakfast plate and there was no flavour at all. Luke warm tea, slightly warm smoothie, and espresso was so watery. Plus a compulsory service charge for the worst brunch experience.

we came for our 2nd secret santa group party on sunday night and it was so fab! believe daisy was our waitress, cant recommend her enough. friendly and professional, good at her job u kno?! the expos were great & manager attentive too. cute decor,etc. see you next year bills!

Came in on Christmas Eve when the staff were understandably very busy, even though it was manic everyone was still very friendly! The food was amazing, I asked for my burger to be plain with just cheese and fully expected it to be forgotten but it was perfect. We could pay at the table via a QR code which made things a little easier too. I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to grab a bite to eat in Cardiff.

Bills was super accommodating, part of our group was running super late but they didn't rush us or move us around. The food was delicious and there was a varied menu at a respectable price.

Little portion and charged me service fee without me knowing and I couldn’t get a refund on it

Came 2 weeks ago for a works meal, accommodated us as a large group of 11. Service was exceptional, food was great, as was the atmosphere. Our table was needed after 2 hours, so we were moved to another table with 2 complimentary bottles of prosecco! They didn't have to do this as we knew we only had 2 hours, but went out of their way to ensure we were happy. Great service and will be back. Thank you!

I am coeliac so was very happy that there was a separate gluten free menu with lots of choice. The staff were really friendly and our food came really quick. The food was lovely. Seen a few mentions regarding the cleanliness. We found it okay apart from there being several crumbs on our table and seat.

Coffee warm,food was cold I was disappointed because service was ok and last we visited the food really enjoyable. Also they have gone cashless so you pay a service charge automatically with your bill which I find presumptuous.

Wherever we travel we try to find a Bills to eat because we always enjoy our food, the surroundings and they are dog friendly. On a visit to Cardiff we stopped by and as usual had a nice experience. However, once we had left and was almost home ( we now live in south Wales) I realised I had left my handbag on the back of my chair. Initially I tried to ring them but they are not contactable by phone, so I emailed them. Within a short while I had a reply, explained the situation and they reassured me my bag was safe and secure. As I was unable to return to collect it fir sometime, they said they would post it to me. I offered to pay the postage but they said it was o them. Ella, was brilliant and kept me updated and my bag arrived safely. I am so grateful and impressed and Bills have delivered once again ( excuse the pun). I'd give 10 stars if I could. I will continue to visit Bills whenever I can. thanks again.

What an awful place. Took a while to be seated although hardly no one in the restaurant but lots of staff. Sat us at a tiny table, didn't offer us table water with our meal, we had to ask and they didn't even bring it to us. Waiter took longer to get our order than the food delivered. Food took literally 3 mins, and we ordered buttermilk chicken burgers. They came out luke warm, so obviously pre cooked, chips were solid and greasy. Never will I ever go back. Plus £4.50 for a can of coke. Absolutely scandalous. Ucchhhh. Stay clear guys.

Had my office Christmas Dinner this evening (friday). Food and drinks were excellent. Set meal was very good value. Staff attitude was poor, one of the party had her starter 15mins after everyone else. No apology or explanation. Appreciate it was very busy and we were probably their 30th office party of the day but it was our only one of the year. We were cramoed into a small space and just seemed a burden to them. Shame won't go there again with a large group, friday night, Christmas meal

Google places to have breakfast and bill's was the top rated, popped in for a breakfast, had a traditional breakfast, food was nice wasn't hot but it was like warm but ok for a breakfast, only one other thing i was disappointed with was the bacon and how thin it was, could have done with more bacon, other than that I enjoyed and coffee was nice. Loved the atmosphere, really Christmassy and chilled vibes, staff were lovely and great, checked if all OK, always on hand to help, also offered more coffee. Would definitely pop in again when in cardiff.

Overcooked breakfast. I like bacon I can cut, not snap. My wife's poached eggs were hardboiled, and no staff came to check if everything was ok. Currently wondering if we will have to walk out without paying due to staff disinterest in coming to the table

Visited after rugby on Sunday evening with son, not too busy when we arrived, service excellent, food excellent, Calamari always delicious, I had fish pie, son had steak, both very good and didn't have long to wait. Been going to Bill's for years, it has only failed me once and that was an allday breakfast, but not at Cardiff branch. We will be back

We enjoyed are late lunch meals, which didn't take to long to arrive, we also decided to have dessert, which along with the our main course tasted good. We had popped in for a late lunch, on a busy Sunday afternoon (Wales v Australia). Despite this we were seated quickly, by friendly staff who where walking hard to get customers feed before the start of the match.

We had a beautiful meal here, and the experience was really special. The breakfast platters were generous, well conceived and perfectly cooked. Sadly the trip was blighted by 2 unsavoury passive aggressive money grabbing tricks by the venue. Firstly we were offered bread and olives for the table as we arrived, which, in itself, was fine, but, with service, it added nearly £10 to the bill. This felt like the venue was taking a bit of a liberty which I didn't like. Secondly, and what I really objected to, was that 12.5% service charge was added to the bill, and the only way to adjust this, to what I consider to be a very reasonable 10%, was to humiliatingly ask the server to reduce their own tip. To me this felt like some kind to service charge shaming by the management, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth, after what was an otherwise very pleasant dining experience.

Tash, molly and Laura were outstanding members of staff. They were welcoming, attentive and helpful. They were rushed off their feet but still had time to give us wonderful customer service. They made the experience all the more special and made us feel like they really cared leaving us with a lasting memory of a life time. Thank you Laura, Tash and Molly

Food is average but nice environment. I read some complaints about the mandatory service charge. So just take that into consideration before deciding to add extra tips.

Coming on three occasions (two breakfasts and one dinner), this establishment offers varied dishes (more or less robust) typically British. Ideal for getting into English time! Pleasant, helpful and available staff. Also, to pay the bill, you just need to scan the QR Code of your table, allowing you to pay the bill when you want, and not wait for the waiters, who in other restaurants, can take long minutes before introducing himself. Flexibility appreciated.

We came for a family lunch after a weekend in cardiff seeing wicked with our nan. We ended our weekend with lunch at Bill's cardiff centre. We were greeted with smiley faces and were served by a lovely staff member, her name was Tilly. She was kind, attentive and nothing was too much for her. It was a lovely experience for the end of a lovely weekend for our family.

Enjoyed a lovely Chicken Schwarma, was good and tasted lovely but didn’t really think there was enough bread (wasn’t a a whole flatbread but two quarters). However, it all tasted lovely including the sauces. Banoffee pudding was lush. Overall service was prompt and friendly, food tasted good and the atmosphere was warm.

Booked for my birthday, they didn’t offer anything special for an occasion. Great gluten free options as per all of Bill’s company. The burger is fine, really wish they’d change the sauce recipe to something a lil more flavourful tho as it’s consistently quite bland. Disappointed the pancakes don’t have any sweet options, just savoury, so ended up not having. The brownie is delicious though! Really nice staff, and lovely establishment. Will be back again!

The menu was very good, the food too was excellent, but it wasn’t hot and was cold before we’d finished eating. The hot chocolate was barely warm too! Our table was in front of the door so a cold draught blew through every time the door opened.

How do you charge extra for cheese on a cheeseburger? The bun was rusty and crusty and frankly even the burger itself was dripping with grease. Soaked in it even. I've had better in Burger King and frankly that's where I'll be staying. Its cheaper too. No service charge there. What are we even being charged for? Being asked "who ordered the cheeseburger" on a 2 person table where you've already given the other person their food isn't service, its stupidity. These faux-posh places belong in the history books as a mistake never to be repeated. And who the hell is Bill anyway? Bill's what?

Amazing breakfast options and the coffee is just great. Servers are attentive and will ask if you have any allergies straight away which though I don't have any I appreciated the awareness to check before taking orders.

Coffee was the best I've had in Cardiff. Had traditional breakfast, good amount and reasonable priced. Staff where great.

My goto breakfast place in Cardiff. Love the atmosphere, and fantastic staff. The kitchen is upstairs! Yet smiles all around. Make sure y'all tip coz that is a lot of stairs to deliver our food. Thank you all!
