Always come to bills for dinner with the family we have been doing this now for a good few years always have a lovely visit and they are very understanding when you have a little one. Staff really friendly warm welcome from thr staff. Food was lovely and always love the iced tea so refreshing on the warmer days. Will be back

Food wasn't too bad, had to wait for a table to be available (and a bit longer for it to be cleaned). Service was ok, however seeing staff standing around isn't what I like to see. Especially when there are people waiting to be served or seated

This was one of the worst eating experiences ever! Weak tasteless tea, the worst and overpriced eggs benedict ever (luke warm, stale muffins, pre-cooked warmed up eggs and bought hollandaise) followed by expensive mini doughnuts in sickly sauce... Walk past this overpriced dreary place and find somewhere better...!

Food was great, enjoyed the asthmatics of the place. Service was ok. We had booked online, it was my daughters birthday so I booked a celebration brownie, an option on their booking system, hoping this would be a little surprise for her. It didn’t arrive and in the end I had ask for it (ruining the surprise) the brownie came and the waitress then asked if we would like a candle! At this point the celebration surprise seemed pointless! When paying for the bill (this is done through a QR code you scan on the table) a service charge is added -10%, ours was just over £15, i don’t mind paying a service charge but on this occasion the service was not what I expected, although staff were pleasant and attentive what I expected of my booking the service fell short. I paid the service charge as the only way to have it removed was to ask the waitress to physically remove it from the bill. If the service charger is added electronically on the bill the facility should be there to also amend it too. In summary the service from the staff was ok, the food was great but the system for booking a celebration fell short and was not executed and service charge automatically added but if you wanted to change it you had to physically challenge it with a staff member.

Had a great time here, I love the breakfast, they are one of the best places to go in Cardiff for lunch and brunch. It’s always really busy here and not uncommon to see a queue at the door - don’t panic it doesn’t mean you wait! The staff are fantastic and really friendly. It’s very close to the shopping centre and the train station so it’s a great location. Definitely book a table though

Generally love Bills but the one in Cardiff has gone down hill massively. Surly staff and poor presentation of food. It’s as if they just can’t be bothered! Went to Bills in Worcester and Bath recently and it was sooo different and so much better. Won’t be bothering with the cardiff branch anymore and it used to be a treat on shopping trips to the Capital!

Visiting Cardiff from Scotland, thought Bills looked like a good place for some breakfast, how wrong were we. Sat down and barely given a chance to look at the menu before they wanted an order. Both meals arrived shortly after, however one was completely the wrong thing, a different item from the menu. Waiter didn’t apologies, and left, after 15minutes and one of us had completely finished, the correct meal arrived and had clearly been rushed as some was cold, under cooked . Staff didn’t check in with us, staff offered no apology, asked for the bill and was abruptly told ‘scan the QR code’ and he walked away. Don’t recommend.

Food was good. Highly disappointed inthe price you have to pay. Scam! You pay for a bottomless brunch on top of the brunch lol. Who’d pay that. Secondly, the drinks are half full not even filled to the top and they don’t include enough of the actual product and loads of ice. Then to top it all off they scam you by showing the wrong price with an £11 vat on top and also an £8 service on top again. Scam. Absolutely disgusting. Bills is really trying to get the bills out of you.

Our group went here for an early lunch, and were lucky to find it. Menu has great variety for brunch and lunch, and everyone in our group of seven loved the meal they chose. Burgers, salads, and breakfast/brunch choices were all tasty with good portions. Good atmosphere and just a great experience.

Bella was excellent. 11 of us arrived late and the restaurant stayed open to accommodate us. We were still made to feel very welcome and the staff couldn’t have done enough to make sure we had a lovely evening after a long day. Food was fab and we thoroughly recommend it. Special thanks to our waitress Bella!

This is the best chicken I have ever consumed in my many years (and I have consumed a lot of chicken). Speedy service as well.

There was a queue when we first got there but we seated also immediately even though we didn’t have a booking. The food was well cooked and hot and the service was very good. The ingredients were of a good quality and priced as expected not as cheap as some local cafes I use elsewhere but can recommend for the centre or Cardiff on a Sunday.

Fantastic service from Bella, she’s amazing, consistent with us and made us feel really welcome and comfortable. Would love to come again.

Once again a stunning visit. We went on a Saturday. The weather was cold but when you walked in it was lovely and cosy. Such a incredible warm welcome we received. We were seated very quickly. The service we received was very friendly,helpful,knowledable and any swaps we had to make due to dietary wasn't a issue. We ordered the meatballs which the portions was so incredible full of flavour, the cheese ans bacon burger was to die for my little boy loved the chicken nuggets which for a child's portion is amazing for the price. They were honestly so helpful and so lovely. I love visiting bills will definitely be back!! Visited on Saturday and restaurant was very busy but we were able to get a table right away. The host immediately made us feel welcome and showed us to our table. Great selection of breakfast items so it was hard to make a choice but our waitress Hannah gave us a great recommendation of the brunch plate which we thoroughly enjoyed. Service was really friendly and efficient and we will definitely be returning to try the pancakes which looked amazing. Overalls we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning.

We went for breakfast and had table of 7. Each of our breakfasts were cold. The toast not toasted. The butter cold and hard. Our waiter was surly. It was very disappointing.

Went there for breakfast the food was terrible had eggs Benedict served cold! and with snotty undercooked eggs. The pancakes for breakfast were clearly out of a packet and taste dry and cheap. The waiter confirmed they were not fresh and were out of a packet. Never again. Also the fruits with the pancakes turned out to be 3 blueberrys and a strawberry cut it half. I ate here again 6 years later as nothing else was open serving what I wanted. Ordered eggs Benedict cooked properly this time. It is a bit hit and miss on the eggs Benedict. And for the price of £15 i'd rather just book the Ivy.

We had a great breakfast here the next day after the rugby. It's a good thing we booked, though, as we were in a group of 8 and would not have got a table. The food served to the table was excellent and couldn't fault it. We were at table 52, which had a heater blowing onto it. This was probably because behind my seat was the door to the seating outside and was draughty when the servers went outside to serve customers ( this was in February). The servers were polite, prompt, and well presented. The outdoor seating is under cover, as is the whole street.

We arrived a bit early, only waited about 5 to 10 min to be seated. The staff was friendly. My husband had the sticky duck salad as a starter and he said that was nice. Then husband’s burger was overdone & cold. I had the halloumi shawarma, the cheese was hard and they forgot the pitta bread, luckily we asked for it and was brought to our tablet straight away. The dessert banoffee sundae was the best. I will try the brunch next time.

Had a wonderful dining experience here recently. Staff where so friendly, especially Suki, she was extremely helpful when helping us order food, as some of our group had food allergies. Service was quick and food was delish. Will definitely be coming back soon :)

Amazing NYE menu!! Enjoyed each dish as well as the cocktail 🍸. Special mention to the vegetarian options as they didn't follow the norm of mushrooms and goats cheese. The Wellington was fab and the parsnip soup was delicious!! 😋. Bill's Cardiff never fail to impress.

A family 40th Birthday lunch today. The food was fabulous for the adults and the children. Lovely atmosphere in there plus the staff were fantastic and helped make it a real celebration. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommend.

Disappointing visit for a work Christmas lunch before Christmas. Place was rammed tables unpleasantly too close together, So you had to get up and move your chairs every time someone wanted to get past with a pushchair. Toilets were filthy. Staff were lovely, attentive, food arrived very quickly given the numbers and the only loss of a star was because we had to chase the bill a few times to go. The food however was mediocre, and we have eaten numerous times in Bills before. Everything had the air of being pre cooked and reheated, my chicken was dry, chips looked very sorry for themselves, meatballs were tough. I won't be going again to this branch.

Service was excellent and very friendly, my cutlery was dirty and swapped with no issues when we sat down. Food was quick,tasty and fresh,but fritters were dripping with grease, had to wash my hands after the meal. Menu was difficult to choose from with a lot of variety on salads and breakfasts, but settled on a Sharwama and aubergine fritters. The building itself was not my cup of tea, it was filled with tat and odd art work, again this is a personal preference but was a bit much for me, toilets were a bit rustic too. Price wise was fair and drinks also.

Visited this excellent restaurant whilst visiting Cardiff for a few days. Great food, I had chicken shawarma which I throughly enjoyed as did my wife who had chicken two ways. Nice wine selection, good ambience, attentive service and good value. Recommended

Went Christmas shopping and decided to book bills for lunch. We sat at our table ordered food and drinks. The drinks arrived promptly. We noticed other people being sat after us and their food arriving while we still waited for ours. After waiting an hour a asked a server if there was an issue with other food. The manager came over and said that our server had forgotten to order our food when we ordered. We were not happy to say the least. Don't think we will be going back.
