A friendly pub with a lovely attitude to children and families. I have been visiting since my Grandson was 5yrs and he is now 15yrs. I have celebrated my Grandsons birthdays there for 10 years. The staff care, food is good and great offers. See you all soon. Dianne Hayes

Went for lunch on Sunday Great Food and Great Staff

Great staff, great food, exceptionally busy during the offer but all served in a reasonable time

The food is high quality but I am not happy with fact bar maid shouted u done u off regardless u don't try embarass someone it is rude

Food was amazing but waited well over an hour for food to arrive. This put a damper on the evening but would come again just not on a Tuesday as its quiz night would also pick a different time slot. Staff very friendly

We arrived on a busy Friday evening without a booking. They kindly managed to find us a table as long as we left by 7:50. That was fine as it was only 6:20. We had a lovely meal, made even more enjoyable as we had a discount voucher. Nice drinks and very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Lovely Sunday roast dinner and nice atmosphere.

Met up with some girls from once upon a time high-school for a catch up and food. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and tables were clear. We all had different meals from the menu which all turned up together. All our food was fresh and hot and tasty. I had the veggie chilli and to be fair was the best I've had (could have been a tad hotter though, next time I'll add the chillis from the side of nachos it came with). Food wasn't over priced either. Thinking I'll have to go back soon for more of that chilli 😋

Been coming here on and off but came tonight with my family and was lush. 2 girls behind the bar were like a comedy duo. Thank u very much.....now where's my glass

Had a great Mother's Day menu 3 coarse Sunday Lunch.Great staff we did have to wait a bit it was very busy but we expected that.Lovely to see a local pub so busy.

The food was lovely but the service was extemely slow. We had to wait over an hour for food and another hour for our dessert. The pub was packed and there was only two kitchen staff and two waiters.

Fantastic service and food as always. Natasha does the bingo every Monday evening starts at 7 and its brilliant. Laura the manger is always accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Staff were super friendly which made the visit really enjoyable.

Food was luke warm, no fries that day , I was offered chips which I don't like (chunky chips.) They offered me sweet potatoe fries, and charged me extra...very disappointed with the meal just wasn't nice at all. Tasted like it was precooked and reheated, my sister had scampi the batter wasn't crisp it was soft and again warm not hot. Yuk

Sunday roast was cold, chicken was hard and dry ,Stuffing ball ,Was hard as a golfball, Gravy was like tap water . But the fish and chips looked good .

I came for a meal with two elderly people I help look after the staff are always so kind and helpful the food is always lovely we can’t wait to go back

My plate of sausage and mashed potato was almost inedible. Sausages were hard on the outside and dry on the inside. The mashed potato had hard dried out potato lumps in it. Definitely wouldn't eat there again.

We always feel welcome in this charming and atmospheric local. The staff could not be more personable and hospitable, we cannot praise them all enough.

Food was very good with plenty on the plate. It was hot, fresh and most enjoyable

I drink at the Fox about 5 times a week and we eat at leas once a week, I cant fault the service and, But they need more staff because they run them selves to the ground, If I could give more points I would not hesitate to do so. Laura and her team are brill. Terry

Place was nice the food was excellent the service went a bit wrong the computer failed to print our order so we had to wait a long time for our meal, however one of the staff noticed and came over to our table and offered us a free starter or desert each. We were very happy with our experience here and will return.

Food wasn’t the best quality. Burgers burnt on my cowboy burger. Chips very hard on Grandson’s chicken nugget meal. Wife’s chicken and bacon salad very nice. Strawberry sundae ice cream my Grandson had was nice

Decided this morning to go for a suprise meal there were 7 of us , we were told we would have to wait a while for food as a big table had been booked but service and food were outstanding. An enjoyable afternoon

Booked a table on line and then found the reservation was not confirmed Rang to confirm and was told you where fully booked so we never came

Visited this lovely old pub for lunch with family. We all ordered the special lunch menu which was very reasonably priced. Food was lovely, no complaints from anyone. Staff are friendly and helpful and the bar/restaurant is clean and well kept. Will definitely visit again.

First visit to the Fox and Hounds on a busy Friday evening. All four meals were tasty, cooked well and done in a timely manner. There was a nice atmosphere and all of the staff from the waitresses to the bar staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Steak was tough as old boots wouldn’t eat here again. Guinness was poor also went flat within minutes

A lovely place friendly staff very helpful ideal for families made to feel very welcome. Food is lovely mixed grill is one of our favourites.

Very friendly staff..food was hot, reasonably priced and delicious. Four of us went for lunch and we all enjoyed what we had. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. Would definitely recommend and will be going again very soon.

VERY Disappointed with Sunday lunch. Waited 45 minutes for meal to arrive. Went to the bar twice to chase our teas. Dirty Cutlery left on the table from previous customers. Ordered 'Go Large'. Two very small pieces of turkey at a cost of 2.25 disgusting! Yorkshire pudding was hard, burnt and inedible. People on the next table sent their food back as being cold. This is not a restaurant we will use again.

Popped in for Sunday lunch and it was delicious. pub felt cosy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
