This is a very pleasant cafe. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a fairly broad menu but we called in for a snack. My husband had a substantial and delicious tuna sandwich and I had a lovely piece of sponge. We had a lovely pot of tea along with it. We completed it with a hot pot of tea. Definitely worth a visit. There is also the library to see as well.

Great selection of tea and coffees. Husband had chocolate cake but I had to say the breakfast which the next table ordered looked very tasty. Good service and friendly.

Well it’s more a cafe than a tea room. It offers beautiful views on a few tables. However when we visited the tea rooms we found that the service was really slow . The food was ok and it was really cheap but it left us a bit disappointed. There seemed to be too much on the menu so it’s harder for the staff to get everything out on time. Hope people have a better experience that we had as the place could have potential.

The Heritage centre is a great place to visit for all the history of Blaenavon and surrounding area. The cafe is great for coffee with friends with its lovely view but I felt the choice of food was basic and in need of an update, especially as there is a lot of tourism here. Staff very friendly and attentive.

I used to go here for lunch here regularly but due to my circumstances I have been unable to go for quite some time. Fortunately I was able to go for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday and was delighted that the meals were even better. I ordered a cheese, ham and egg salad with new potatoes and a baguette. The meal was better than most salads in top restaurants. My fiance had an all day breakfast which he also said was delicious.

They had a nice menu of hot/cold food, flap jacks, cakes, and sweets. I had a gingerbread latte and it was very tasty. My only complaint would be that when you walk up to the counter to place your order, to the right is where the dirty dishes are placed. Which is unfortunate because the rest of the cafe is very clean and spacious. Our outside table had a beautiful view of the historic cemetery and the old coal mines.

One stop shop for heritage history, a library and a cafe to boot. My “go to” for a quick coffee with views, breakfast when I cannot be bothered and a change of scenery when I’m working on my laptop.

Popped into cafe after visiting Big Pit nearby. Lovely setting, nice touch they had mini iPads to keep children entertained. Food was good, coffee good. Clean & tidy. Lovely views out over overgrown cemetery, but it was a misty grey day & atmospheric.

Really nice cafe where nothing is too much. Friendly staff and good well prepared food too. Looks over surrounding countryside and fields. With St Peters church next door an ideal location for a relaxing coffee

Located in the important visitor centre, the tea rooms offer a welcome respite and a fine cup of tea.For those seeking more, their Welsh Rarebit is very good, as I am sure are the other sandwiches and light meals they offer. All in all, a pleasant and well located spot.

I / we went here to visit whilst seeing relatives; it was great food in fairly large servings, it was also speedy with welcoming staff in an immaculately clean cafe (quickly cleaned / cleared tables).

I visit the café at least once a month. staff are friendly and café is clean, the food is excellent, very reasonable - really good value for money. when the weather permits you can sit outside and admire the beautiful views over the coity mountain, it is also licensed and the drinks are very inexpensive

visit this clean friendly café at least twice a month. always have a delicious salad - choice of ham, tuna, cheese, chicken or hard boiled eggs (6 halves) served with hot potatoes, it is excellent. my friend has the full English breakfast with toast and coffee. both priced at £4.95. if weather permits sit outside with beautiful views over the coity mountain. can't speak highly enough of it. they also serve a very reasonable two or three course Christmas meal on a choice of dates. again it is excellent - just like home cooking. thoroughly recommend you go there.

Came here after visiting the museum, it is a small cafe in the heritage centre, good choice of meals which are all cooked to order. Prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly. We stayed well after the meal having a chat and nobody minded. Will call again when in the area.

Had a wonderful Christmas lunch here today. Three courses only £13.00 and all served with a smile. Jac, Jane and other members of staff at the Café always willing to help with any reasonable requirements. Good food to eat, Welsh cakes, bara birth usually available every day. You can eat breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea. Extensive menus. Plenty of seating, but some patience necessary because they are busy, because the Café has a good reputation with the locals. I visit almost every week, with a group of around 10 people. The staff make everyone welcome and know a lot of visitors by name. That's not disinterested .... "Burt" doesn't know what they 're talking about.

We used this tea room prior to visiting The Big Pit. We enjoyed the magnificent view across the valley even though it was a rainy day. There was a choice of food to suit everyone, even gluten-free. Food was tasty, cooked to order and used fresh ingredients. Lovely friendly staff as you would expect in a Welsh mining village.

This little place has long been on my bucket list to visit and I was not disappointed. The homemade soup and toast was divine and the lady owner was kindness itself. Nothing was too much trouble and the place had a warm, homely feel.
