A superb meal. Staff were extra attentive.

Group of us called on for a quick drink on the way home from a charity event to be greeted by someone that basically said that if we wanted food we had to order immediately, we'd just walked through the door, then found no atmosphere and rude staff at the bar, had a drink and left. Potentially lost out on 4 families having a meal there had we felt more welcome.

Great relaxing environment for a family members birthday. Dog friendly which was great. Food , staff and venue Spot on

Really great place. Lovely staff. I pretty much always get the chicken and chorizo kebab flatbread but they have a lot of really good options.

The interior of your pub is just like the bar of a top hotel. It reminds me of the captain's bar in the Mandarin hotel in Hong Kong. The staff are excellent and the barmaid on duty last night had a great personality. My family and I booked the perfect table in the bar area and, although we were almost 10 minutes late, the staff were great. The food was excellent. Also, it was great to be able to order Brains SA beer. Thank you so much for that!

Great customer service and friendly staff, though I wouldn't return for food again. I had a steak which was lovely and asked for a salad as I don't like chips. The salad was mainly rocket with a few tomato pieces. Shame as its such a nice restaurant.

Had the Roast Beef Topside, with a Large Yorkshire Pudding and all the trimmings. It was a really nice meal, and the waiting staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful, and checked regularly that we were all happy with our food, etc. Would definitely go there again. 👍🏼

My husband and I have been coming here since we met, and it quickly became our favourite place to eat in Swansea. The food is always absolutely stunning, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. A special mention must go to their crispy coated bbq cauliflower wings - they are to die for (not pictured as we literally could not wait to eat them!)

Celebrating my wife’s 30th birthday at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. I was really stressed about accommodating such a large group, but the staff blew me away with how helpful they were. Huge shoutout to Katie and Luke – they went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable. They even helped carry our enormous cake, which was no small feat! Their effort truly made the night special for everyone.

Another beautiful meal. We were greeted by Nia and shown to our table, our order was promptly taken and served piping hot. The restaurant is always spotless and the food is beautiful. Service was second to none from Nia and Charley. Highly recommend the Mary Dillwyn.

The restaurant was very busy but the food came within an acceptable time. Our drinks and olives were served well before our main course so we were able to enjoy a relaxing chat and nibbles before eating. Both our meals were cooked nicely and were good sized portions. Our deserts likewise. The restaurant was a lot quieter by this time so that was nice. We were comfortable full by the end,

We had excellent customer service. We phoned as we knew we were near cut off for food service. We were assured we were fine. We arrived by 8.40, 20 minutes before service finished and were greeted by a lovely waitress who had so much patience with us. Was so friendly and we didnt feel rushed at all. She came to check if food was ok as well. Absolutely first class service. She is a credit to your company. Please pass this on to her. The food was really nice too. We will definitely be returning here. I have had stomach surgery do can only eat small meals, and I was allowed to order off the children's menu which was perfect portions for me.

The Mary Dillwyn is a very spacious restaurant. The atmosphere is always very relaxed. The staff are very friendly & attentive. The food is always very good. We always keep coming back . I would highly recommend the restaurant to everyone.

The food was awesome and the staff were friendly and welcoming especially since the weather is still chilly somewhat.

Today for the first time in a few months we went to the dillwyn and I had steak and ale pie with mash and cheese leek and potato pie with mash. I was given instant mash? Really for £16 the top of the pie was hard and chewy plus the cheese and leek pie was the same and the filling was ok but not wow. I’ve had much nicer pub lunches for less money and better quality sorry guys that was terrible for £16 for one meal and when did the prices go up so much? That meal was worth no more than a tenner.

Friendly and accommodating staff, outdoor play area was lovely and spacious and kept the children entertained while we waited for our food, its has plenty of seating around for parents to be able to see their children while relaxing. Once it had turned cold we asked if we could move indoors, the staff were lovely and accommodated this without any issues. Overall a really pleasant experience, our food was lovely and enjoyed by all adults and children.

Visited for the first time food & service were fantastic! We were served by Katie & Cayo who were both friendly & made sure everything was good. Portion sizes are perfect, had prawn cocktail, burger & fries & Chocolate brownie. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be returning & will recommend.

I visited today with my grandparents to treat them,they had a turkey and beef dinner and both were just OK with what they had. I had a trio of meat sunday lunch and I've never been so disappointed in my life. I had 3 measly slices of meat (shavings),1 half carrot,1 quater parsnip,literally a fork full of peas ,table spoon of red cabbage ,2 tiny roast potatoes, slither of crackling,a tiny Stuffing ball and a dribble of Gravy. Best part was the Yorkshire. Both me and my grandfather have come away still hungry. I paid over £50 for a very disappointing meal. That wasn't including drinks or desserts.What a waste of money. I didn't make a fuss at the restaurant as I also work in catering/hospitality and I don't believe in making a scene when other people are trying to do there job and going on with their day. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody in future. Sorry. Nicky

Everyone who served us was friendly, attentive, patient and cheerful. The early evening menu was good value and very tasty.

Plenty of parking for the three cars our party had. Lovely decoration and ambience. Service was excellent, attentive, timing between courses was perfect. Little requested extras like small spoons for the children and extra napkins were “no trouble at all” for the waiting staff. Our female waitress was a pleasure to be served by, top marks for her. Our chosen selection of starters, main courses and desserts were all excellent, steaks cooked as ordered, vegetables all presented perfectly and all the food we had tasted delicious. In light of our experience this time we will definitely be returning and promoting the venue/brand. Thank you for being part of a most enjoyable evening.

Totally surprised how lovely & welcoming the restaurant was

We had a lovely welcome by the staff and they're service was spot on. The food for the price was not worth it at all 3 small chicken selects and 20 fries, I could of gone to KFC next door and had nicer very poor on potion sizes especially for the money. Will not go again

Very welcoming, attentive staff, that made the whole experience enjoyable during a recent visit for Sunday lunch. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, as it was well presented and extremely tasty. The place was also clean, with good accessibility, as I have mobility issues. They also have disabled parking spaces outside, although they are quite limited. Price wise, it certainly wasn’t the cheapest we’ve encountered in Swansea for a pub/restaurant meal, but by no means would I say that it was overpriced, given the portion sizes and quality of the food. Overall, an extremely positive visit to the Mary Dillwyn.

Relaxing place, tables nicely spaced. Was told where to sit and collect our own menus on the way. Steak was fatty and tough. Chips were lush but don't know why they not doing the chunky ones they had before. Staff only came to the table to serve food but we prefer that

Our meal time was set for 3:00. We ordered cod in batter and chips. It was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed it.Highly recommended and we would definitely book again. In fact, we are thinking of having a Christmas meal there (we usually go to the Woodman but have become a little shocked at their prices, particularly on drinks). Another very enjoyable time at the Mary Dillwyn. Luke and his team are really attentive and make the place a friendly, inviting venue for my friend and I to meet up, we live at opposite ends of Wales and Swansea is a mid point, we're really glad we've found the Mary Dillwyn. Each time we meet we discuss going somewhere else, just for a bit of variety but we keep coming back to the Mary Dillwyn; yes the location is easy, not far off the motorway and it's easy to park, yes you offer decent vegan choices (I especially like that you have a proper vegan pudding not just ice-cream, sorbet or fruit salad) but the real reason we come back is we like the atmosphere and know that Luke and his team will not only look after our dietary foibles and understand that we want to be seated somewhere relatively quiet but they do so promptly and cheerfully. They know how to be friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive; not always an easy balance to achieve. They don't seem to mind that we're too busy talking to order as promptly as we might or that we like to linger over our coffees after our meals - knowing how much we have to say to each other on the occasions we meet up Luke welcomed us when we arrived at about 12.30 and said that the table was not booked by anyone else until 5pm and if we wanted to stay longer than that he'd find us somewhere else nice to sit if we wanted to stay. We always feel welcome and looked after at the Mary Dillwyn.

I was sent a special offer on line for the ‘mains’ and this prompted me to book a table. We were slightly late but the friendly receptionist showed us to our table. Drinks service within two minutes along with menus of both standard dishes and ‘specials’. Food delivered within 15 minutes of ordering, and all good. My wife and I really enjoyed the lunch, and we look forward to returning when we are in the area. Good value, quality meals and great staff

Four of us Went to mary dillwyn swansea for a birthday meal. 16/3/24. Good parking facilities. Service was on the slow side for drinks and meal orders. ordered 2 beef dinners , sea bass and steak pie. Beef was tough, veg was heaped under the beef not very appetising no horse raddish source as advertised, cauliflower cheese very bland . Sea bass and pie were ok. Desserts we ordered 2 chocolate brownie sundaes with flake. not served in sundae glasses, no sign of a chocolate flake in either sundaes.when I asked about the flakes the waiter was clueless he said did it come with a flake ? surely he should have some knowledge of the menu ! Sticky toffee puddings were ok but very little custard in a small pot . However the wine was very nice . Needless to say we will not be visiting this place again very disappointing there are lots of better places to eat in swansea my advice is don't waste your money on this establishment .

We come here often and normally we are super happy with it but this time two orders were wrong one visible and corrected immediately in all fairness the other couldn't be seen until most of the meal was consumed waitress was very apologetic but perhaps more attention needed when order being prepared

Had food on the 16th February it's was OK but when we ordered it not asked if we had any allergies I was bad all weekend 🙃🤢 🤧 In the pub at 12 15 don't think we will be back..🤮🤮 I have .I. B. S IT'S NOT A GOOD THING TO HAVE. 😕 😔😣😣

Very pleasant atmosphere and nice decor. Food seemed freshly cooked and enjoyable and the service was prompt and pleasant.

Myself and my partner visited this afternoon we received a warm welcome from waitress we both ordered from the lunchtime 3 course menu. The food was delicious meal size was brilliant value for money. The waitress was very friendly and made sure we were happy with everything during our time at the restaurant.

Fab staff, meal lovely but steak abit chewy

Quite disappointed today as my pie top was rock solid. I nearly broke my tooth very small portions and my husband had half of a chicken breast and I mean it’s been sliced in half to use twice. They disappointed won’t be coming again very little portions and a big bill
