So after having a family meal at Las Iguanas we came here for a quick drink before heading on somewhere else. The place was packed, yet we found a good table in a relatively quiet corner. We got drinks and I found the staff quick to serve us, it was service with a smile and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We only stopped for the one but this is a place that is return to during the day time.

This is our 4th visit for a carvery. Again it was delicious. Plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. You have a choice of 4 meats, Yorkshire, roasties, roasted parsnips, Swede, broccoli, green beans, garden peas, mushy peas, carrots and mashed potato. Gravy was as usual lovely. Friendly staff and a lovely homely atmosphere

Visited Hogan's today with my partner & 2 daughters, no booking made, we walked in & was shown to a table straight away, we were welcomed with the most nicest people, lee & Chloe, absolutley beautiful carvery, all proper homemade fresh veg & the meat was lovely too! Chloe & lee couldn't do enough for us! Chloe even made my 2 daughters a fab "unicorn" icecream & didn't even charge us! Its so nice to go somewhere with excellent customer service & beautiful food! Will definitely be back, well done guys!

Having recently been with friends for the Sunday carvery which was delicious and reasonably priced, I heard they were now doing an all you can eat breakfast for £4.95!! The staff are lovely, efficient and I just couldn't find fault with the breakfast especially at £4.95. MUCH better than a chain pub like wetherspoons etc. The new Bar Manager, Lee was particularly welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be back!!!!

Visited Hogans Bar and Grill today for Sunday lunch. Arrived at 12:05, the carvery is advertised as being served between 12pm-4pm. On arrival the barman said they wouldn’t be ready for another 15 minutes, This was fine and we decided to get a drink whilst we wait. This is when the problems started, do not order coke from the pump, it’s cheap mixer coke and was undrinkable. Next time I’ll ask for glass bottle or an alternative drink. Anyway, at half past 12, the dinner was still not ready. At this point 4 other tables were also waiting. The carvery finally opened at just gone 12:45So I’d like to give my biggest compliments to the lady serving the carvery, she was extremely friendly and chatty, and she was the best part of the experience. So as for the dinner, the beef was beautifully tender, although it was not hot. I also had the pork but that wasn’t nice. The roast potatoes were under cooked, but the stuffing and toast parsnips were delicious. The carrots were also under cooked, I have a feeling this has a lot to do with them rushing. The mashed potato was terrible, it tasted of cake mix, I think this is probably from margarine being used in the mash, I strongly recommend they use real butter, or would be worth the extra cost. The gravy was tasty but incredibly thin. I am gutted that the dinner wasn’t great, as the staff were excellent. I really hope that this was just a one off bad visit due to them being behind on time, I understand how it is, I work in the food industry myself. But I will try this place again, perhaps for an evening meal. Simply as the lady serving was so friendly, and she was so busy whilst still being sure to make everyone feel welcome. Hope to visit again soon and have something different from the menu.

My family came to visit from Cheltenham. We all went for the Sunday carvery at Hogans. Half of us were able to have the carvery dinner of roast beef and vegetables. The beef was so tender it melted in the mouth. There was a choice of eight different vegetables. Those who did not want a roast dinner were able to choose from the varied menu. Everyone was satisfied. Food, staff and ambience were 5*+.

Me and my family visited hogans today in hope of having a nice carvery, the mashed potato was cold and there was a fly in my sons glass of coke and my daughters glass of coke was smothered in lipstick,we also had to change the cutlery as 2 forks obviously hadn't been washed.i politely spoke to the lady and explained that the mash was cold and there was a fly in the glass of coke and the other glass was smothered in lipstick as seen in the photo I've provided,my daughter is 9 and doesn't wear lipstick by the way.The aggressive reaction I had was that it's quite common to have lipstick smeared on a pint glass and to immediately leave the premises or the police would be called.my wife and children and also myself were traumatised to say the least so we just got up and left, absolutely appalling customer service and very unhygienic and I would never return there again and I would hope that other people would read these reviews before visiting there...APPALLING

Recently hired their function room upstairs for a baby shower, the room was very well dressed and set up for us to view before booking. It was very clean. The lady how showed us around was so help full and made us feel very welcome. She give us menus to take away to show everyone so we could pre order and also promised us our own waitress for the night as we book the room on the day of the six nations match, all we had to pay was a £10 refundable deposit which we got back on the night. The lady also set up all the tablets the way we asked and put up all the banners up for us so when we got there we didn't need to do anything apart from enjoy the night. When we arrived at the pub the lady greated us with a warm welcome. As the night stared the pub started to get busy downstairs but as she promised we had our own waitress and didn't need to leave the room for any drinks. Our food came out as we asked for 1 hour into the evening and it was stunning. They also offered us desserts and brought a selection out so we could see them before having them, they were also stunning. The waitress was back and fore all night so didn't need to chase her like we have had to in previous places when booking events.Overall we had a fab experience and felt very welcomed Evan though we hadn't been there before, would highly recommend Hogans.

Booked a table for a Saturday night. I should have bothered as on arrival there we no other diners. Told by a surly waitress to sit anywhere - not even given a menu or asked for drinks. Food was ordered at the bar. Starter of chicken strips and garlic mayo was ordered but was served without mayo. The waitress disapeared so I ate it dry. The condiments holder placed on the table contained empty bottles of ketchup and mustard. It purports to be a 'grill' so hoped that the ribs, chicken and lamb ordered should save the evening. Unfortunately the 'fresh chargrilled ribs' were straight out of the microwave and the chicken breast was dry. But the ultimate insult was my partners 'tender lamb rump steak'. Have a look at the picture. It looked like it had been dropped into a lava flow until all moisture had been removed and a shell had formed. I tasted some and it was inedible. The waitresses were again invisible so the chips and 'roast' mushrooms were eaten and the rest left. A different waitress appeared, cleared the plates and returned with 2 complementary desserts. These turned out to be 2 jam jars containing a cheesecake-like lukewarm mess. The place has obviously had a lot of money spent on renovation and has great potential. But it does seem to be completely lacking in management and organisation. There is also a lack of quality control from the kitchen staff. If you are going to call yourself a grill there should be at least some attempt at producing quality meals with quality meat.

Came here for mothers day with my family, the carvery wasn't very nice or tasty I be honest. The meat looked well over cooked with only a slice each, only allowed 1 roast potato, 1 Yorkshire and 1 stuffing ball, I don't call that a carvery, very poor!! The Pepsi on tap did not taste like Pepsi, tasted like cheap coke!! Seems like the management are cutting corners here and providing cheap products at not cheap prices!! Been to any Sunday lunches as I like to try different places but would not come here again I am sorry to say. In fairness though all the staff at bar and waitress was very nice and friendly just let down by poor food!!

What an awful place. We decided to give this place a go after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor. I have to question whether these 'good' reviews are genuine because our experience was dreadful. We were the only table occupied in the restaurant and a few men in the bar area. One member of staff running the place and the chef (and she was a joke). We had to order and pay for the food at the bar. After waiting what seemed like an eternity, our starters arrived. We had to send two back because the prawns were so overcooked they were like bullets and they were baby prawns and not king prawns as described on the menu. They had run out of chicken strips so we asked for them to be refunded. We never got it! The mains were no better...everything was overcooked. The steak was like leather, the chicken breast was so hard you couldn't chew it, chunky chips were not chunky and luke warm, pasta was bland and the 'hogans ultimate burger' was burnt. Two meals never arrived. The waitress was very apologetic but the chef, Tracey, was either disinterested or rude. We asked for a refund for the food we had not received so the waitress phoned the manager who was 25 miles away, but he refused. He also refused to speak to us. We also asked for receipts but again he refused. I will be contracting trading standards. Hogan's are taking your money but not producing the goods which amounts to nothing less than theft. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Avoid at all cost. Don't be ripped off like we were. Why this place is still allowed to trade is debateable.

**I know this is a long review but it needs to be read!**Eight of us went to Hogan's bar and grill last night for my mums birthday. We booked beforehand, and I was the first person to arrive. So I asked the waitress where our table was. She pointed towards the back. So I made my way to the back to find that all the tables were only set up for 4 people. So I pulled 2 tables together myself. No big deal, I thought. The rest of our party arrived shortly after, and we ordered drinks at the bar. After deciding on food we had to go up the bar and order there, like a lot of pubs today. So we all ordered and paid for the food. An HOUR later half of our starters came out. The garlic mushrooms were fine, but the prawns were not cooked properly! Waiting on chicken strips, the waitress came and told us that they had run out of chicken strips and offered my grandmother a glass of wine instead. She declined, as she wasn't drinking alcohol, and asked to have a refund instead. The waitress agreed. A couple of us who had the prawns refused to eat them as they weren't cooked properly - but we said we would grin and bear it and hope that the main meals were nicer. WRONG! Another HOUR later, our mains came out (bear in mind - we were the only ones eating there by this time). 4 burgers came out initially, but we only ordered 3. No problem, the waitress took one back. 10 minutes later the steak came - it was ordered to be 'medium', it arrived 'well done' and burnt to a crisp. Then the pasta (cold), and the chicken and ribs. The chicken breast was so dry and burnt that we needed a steak knife to cut into it! It was chewy and hard to eat so we asked for a replacement chicken breast. The waitress apologised repeatedly and willingly took it back to be replaced. So we were now missing 3 meals. The other 5 of us ate what we could, but the food was not very nice. We had finished eating, but the 3 remaining meals still hadn't been brought out - the replacement chicken and ribs, a mixed grill ('the beltbuster'), and a ribeye steak. A while later - still no sign of our food or the waitress. So 2 people in the group went to the kitchen door to ask the chef when the food would be out. She SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS and said 'I was only told there would be a table of 4'. Absolutely no excuse. We booked for 8 people - but even if she was only told that there was 4, why can't she keep up with only 8 dishes in the entire restaurant?? Her attitude was appalling... and she continued to glare at us from the kitchen window into the restaurant. More time passed and the meals still didn't arrive. So the 3 people without food asked if their order could be cancelled and just have a refund. The waitress asked the chef (no MANAGER around but we'll get to that later) and the chef refused. So we waited again. By this point we had already been there for 3 hours and got fed up of waiting. So we went straight to the bar and asked for a refund for the 3 mains and 1 starter that we never received. The waitress said that she would have to phone her manager for permission. HE REFUSED TO GIVE US A REFUND FOR THE MEALS WE NEVER HAD. I believe his name is Leon.Meanwhile, the "chef" (ha!) packed up and switched the kitchen lights off.. but still NO FOOD OR REFUND!It was our last resort, so we phoned the non-emergency police line for advice. They told us to get receipts for our order, contact a solicitor on Monday morning and stay as long as we could to argue our case there and then. So that's what we did. Asked for all the receipts for our order. The waitress was still on the phone to the manager and guess what - HE REFUSED TO GIVE US RECEIPTS TOO! Which is another breach of trading standards. Our best guess is that the chef/waitress phoned the police, because in five minutes there were 4 officers on the premises. But they agreed with us - that we have paid for a product that we haven't received. HOWEVER - what they had done is considered to be a civil matter, not a criminal one.But the police explained that they would not escort us from the premises as we were not being abusive or aggressive, and that we had every right to argue our case for a refund. This went on and on for another hour, the manager still refusing to refund us - he even told that police that we had every single thing we ordered and we had eaten it all!!!! He wasn't even on the premises, he was sitting at home in Llanelli, with no intentions of coming in to sort it out. It is highly unlikely that we will ever get that money back for those 4 meals (nearly £100!!!) But I would just like to warn everyone in Swansea not to go there and suffer the same as we did. POOR FOOD, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING ATTITUDES AND APPALLING CUSTOMER CARE. Not how we expected some simple pub grub for a birthday celebration to end!!!!We WILL be reporting Hogan's to Trading Standards, and we now have a police incident number for what happened. And if they fail to refund us then I WILL be taking this to the local paper because as far as we and the police are concerned, THIS IS THEFT!!!!!

OH MY GOD! If I owned this establishment I would be extremely embarrassed to put my name above the door or ever show my face in public. What an absolutely horrendous night, utterly disgusting food and customer serivice. Without duplicating what has already been said I just want add the so called 'chef/cook' was appauling, she was completely incompetent and I'm actually debating whether she has any qualifications in catering, her culinery skills would be better used on a burger van at a Glastonbury festival. We asked her to come to the table several times but she declined, personally if I produced food like that I wouldnt be able to face my customers either. The barmaid could not apologise enough for the disgusting food and service and saw fit to offer a refund but was told by the manager on the phone that we would not be having this refund, the so called manager was approx 20mins away at his home and refused to attend when asked, quite frankly I deem this person as a coward and obviously does not care about his customers or staff. I asked for a VAT receipt which I'm entitled to under trading standards but this was also refused! The incident just kept on escalating and I had no choice but to contact the Police for advice on what to do next, I was advised this was a civil matter and to seek legal advice from a solicitor, the Police that just happended to be passing and kindly tried to lend a hand were in fairness very helpful and did as much as they could but we still had to swallow the pill of having paid over £100 for goods which were faulty and for goods not even received. I'm in total disbelief as to how they have achieved such a good rating. So basically for your own good DO NOT go to this place unless you want to totally ruin your night and be out of pocket.

Booked Hogan's for a birthday meal....never ever again. Disaster from start to finish. Just 1 girl running the bar and serving food and 1 person in the kitchen..the chef and an apalling one at that! Ordered and paid for the meal in advance at the bar. We were the only people in the restaurant but yet the food took absolutely ages to come out. When it did, it was either cold, burnt or they had run out. The waitress said she would refund 2 of them. It never happened. The main courses were no better. One steak was very well done when asked for it to be cooked medium rare, chicken breast so overcooked and hard we couldn't cut it, burgers overcooked and burnt in places, chips barely warm and 2 meals never arrived. We asked to speak to the manager but told he was at home 25 miles away and there was no-one in charge. The waitress phoned him but he refused to speak to us. We requested a refund for at least the food we did not receive but he refused. 2 PCSO'S who were passing were called in to try and help us because surely this must be theft. A Pc tried reasoning with the manager on the phone but he still refused. The police could do no more as it was a civil matter but had we eaten food and refused to pay, it would have been a criminal matter. Why, what's the difference? So my advice is do not go near the place. Plenty more good places to eat in Swansea. Shame I had to give it 1 star, didn't deserve any.

Where do I start? We were a group of 8 and decided to give Hogan's a go after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. What a BIG mistake! I had booked a table 6 days prior but, as it turned out, unnecessary as we were the only people ordering food (this alone should have rung alarm bells). Other than us, there were a few rowdy men at the bar. We later discovered there was only 1 member of staff, a young girl, working both the bar and the restaurant and 1 person labelled 'the chef' in the kitchen...what a JOKE! We ordered and paid for our food at the bar in advance. After a long wait, our starters arrived but not all together. The waitress then informed my Mum that her starter would not be served as they had run out of chicken strips and my son who had ordered spicy king prawns was given a bowl of baby prawns because they had run out of those too. The prawns were awful. Overcooked and dry so he returned them. The waitress agreed to refund both starters. After another long wait, the main courses started to arrive, but again, not all together. My sister ordered surf and turf. She asked for her steak medium/rare, it came well done and again overcooked dry prawns. My daughter and her boyfriend then got their burgers which were again overcooked and actually burnt in areas. Chips were barely warm. My Mum ordered chicken and rib combo but the chicken breast was so overcooked and hard she could not cut it. We asked the waitress to take it back to the kitchen, no replacement was given. Both myself and my husband were still waiting for our meals, a rib eye steak and a mixed grill. The waitress arrived with another burger meal which was not ordered. By this point we decided enough was enough and told the waitress how unhappy we were and told her not to bother with the rest and asked to speak to a manager or the person in charge. She told us there was only her and the chef but she would ring the manager (the owner's son) and explain to him what had gone on. We waited about 30 minutes before she told us that the manager had refused us a refund. In all, we did not receive 2 starters and 2 main courses amounting to £42. Surely it was our right to be refunded that if nothing else but were told NO! We asked the waitress for receipts for the meals ordered and paid for. She then again phoned the manager who again refused to give us these. While my sister's partner was outside making a call, 2 PCSO'S were passing so she asked their advice and if they could help us. At the end of the day, to take our money and not provide us with the goods is surely theft! A Pc then arrived and tried to appeal to the manager that we were decent people and had not caused a scene but all the manager kept saying was that he wanted us off the premises. If we had food and refused to pay, it is a criminal matter. The fact that we had paid for food and not received it is a civil matter. Why? What's the difference? So, be warned, avoid Hogan's Bar and Grill in Morriston or be prepared to be treated appallingly and be ripped off. It's only a shame I have to give them 1 star as zero would be too much.

If it was possible to give this place zero stars I would happily do so but unfortunately we can't. We visited as a party of 8 for a family members birthday and the first thing that was noticed was the LACK of staff - there was one young girl running the bar, collecting glasses, and serving food and one woman running the kitchen (running is an overstatement). First of all several of our starters were overcooked and sent back to the kitchen and some of the starters didn't arrive at all. The main meals were also overcooked and burnt, I speak of the 10oz Ribeye, the chicken and rib combo and the "Hogan Ultimate Burger" - what a joke. When we spoke to the young lady running the bar, she was incredibly apologetic and brought us a round of drinks for each cock up. It got to the point after many meals came out overcooked/burnt/cold/bland and returned to the "chef" that we requested a full refund for food that was not satisfactory and for food not received (please note we did not request a refund for the food that was borderline edible). THIS IS WHEN IT GOT RIDICULOUS. The young lady running the bar had to make a phone call to the restaurant owner (who was 25 minutes away in Llanelli) who advised her no refund would be provided for what we had not had/not found satisfactory and we were then asked to be removed from the premises and to return tomorrow to "discuss" the matter. Naturally this was not acceptable so we sought legal advice from police on their non-emergency line who sent two PCSO's and two PC's to the premises who agreed that their lack of organisation was unacceptable and also their inability to provide receipts for the items purchased was also inexcusable and against the law. This was a situation which continued for the best part of two hours in which the owner refused to attend the premises to resolve the matter, the "chef" would glare at us from the kitchen window and would openly cast her negative opinion about us to the young waitress - need I say any more? Due to the fact 95% of the party paid with cash, it was advised BY THE POLICE to contact Trading Standards due to the fact that they were retaining money for goods paid for but not provided and that this would need to be investigated by Trading Standards directly as this is a form of theft. Went to hogans this afternoon for some food with the wife, we never thought of going here but heard good reviews. When we walked in we were welcomed by a young girl who seated us and asked if we would like any drinks which I thought was very thoughtful! And also I had my granddaughter with me and she brought us a high chair, which not many places do! We had the gammon and egg and the wife had a chicken curry which the girl behind the bar suggested and said it was on the specials menu! Which was great. And also told us about the Halloween party they were having and live entertainment on the weekends. It was so tasty and I take my hat off to the chef that cooks there! I noticed the place is family run, which is nice to see! And also was greeted by a very nice man which he quoted part of the furniture.Great place, lovely staff, good chef! And very welcoming and homely :)Well done HOGANS!!!!!

after having food at hogans every friday night. id have the lamb rump the wife would go for lasagne. we decided to have a change i had the fish +chips the wife had the chicken burger. the fish was put on the table as i cut into the fish water shot out of it + all over the chips that was the end of that meal.the wifes chicken burger the bun was hard + the chicken was to dry. we asked the bar staff about the food and were told we could have a replacement food no but no thanks. we have had food many times + love hogans. the only problem is the chef a big guy he cant cook. the food with him is always no good the last time i had the lamb rump i asked for it to be cooked well done as i dont like to see blood on my food i cut into it and there it was blood pouring onto my plate that puts you off straight away.we have said everytime we go to hogans for food we ask the bar staff which chef is cooking if its the big guy we wont have food.if its tracey then the food is fantastic.the lager is a really good pint + the shorts are brilliant tropical mango for the misses is brill. friday nights music is brilliant. you pay good money for good food not with the big guy. i dont like to complain but you cant eat crap food when you pay good money.bar staff are brilliant .

I've been to hogans a few times now and never disappointed. The food is always really good, the service is spot on, and we've always been made to feel welcome. The staff remember us and are really nice. We don't live in morriston but it's always been worth the 20 minute drive to have lunch in hogans. We went there last Friday evening as we were told there was live music on Fridays. The singer was great. A real entertainer ....had us up dancing We thoroughly enjoyed. Karaoke next Saturday so we are going to give that a go too. Ten out of ten !!!!!!!

Ok, so i like food...good food, i try lots of new places because many places tend to disappoint me.Toby's carvery-- (utter crap), The westbourne - (used to be good), The buck inn... (gone down hill)...I could keep goingSo i happened upon this places a few weeks back before a night out and decided to treat my stomach to a steak and chips and it was outstanding then... i paid my compliments as i left and noticed the sign for sunday carvery so i thought i'd go back and try it out..... boy was i happy i did... my stomach and my tastebuds both owe me a big thank you.Hogans is so far the best carvery restaurant i have been to in a long while..I've always been longing to find that one place that makes a dinner like my nan used to (god rest her soul). this place gets it all right first time.. i'll have to go back for more to see if it is consistently this good hopefully it will be.The vegetables were all cooked correctly.Full of flavour, the meat was melt in the mouth succulent and boy oh boy was the gravy good. The gravy is the key to every good dinner! if it isnt made right it lets the dinner down but the gravy was like my nan's.Thick, full of the juices of all the veg and meat and made me feel like i was 10 again.I have found my new favourite place to eat on a sunday and a weekday.... il eat here again and i'll write as many good honesty reviews as i can so that i can help people find good places to eat just like this diamond in the rough!

Can't get enough of this place, it's improved every time we come in They have rearranged a few things there like a carvery has been put in which I can say is one of the best I've had in swansea. I am writing this about their new Friday nights live music. I was sceptical about the type of crowd that would attend. Couldn't fault the atmosphere! Lovely singer, I've actually watched this singer at another venue a year or so ago. It was great! So I will be going tonight again as there's a young lady who is supposed to be a fantastic entertainer/singer. I will update. But such a lovely place! Deserves the credit!

Good points - lovely welcome, nice chips. On to the bad - after wanting to try somewhere different and heading home from Swansea we fired up Tripadvisor and looked what was local. Very good reviews took us to Hogan's. Ordered the rib eye and the mixed grill. Food looked well presented apart from the new potatoes which were actually boiled white potatoes that looked liked they should have gone on to be mashed, these were quickly changed for a jacket potato. Meat on both meals fell short of good unfortunately. The rib eye was cooked as ordered but lacked seasoning and was tasteless and lacking juices. The meat on the mixed grill all tasted the same weirdly, chicken was dry, only the lamb being acceptable. Thank God for the chips.

Heard good things from a few friends on how good the food and service was at hogans! so I thought I'd give it go and see what all the fuss is about, and to my great surprise it was simply fantastic. I called beforehand, it was early Saturday afternoon to book a table. The girl on the phone was very polite and helpful she booked as in a table for 5 for 7pm same day. We all went for mains, no starters, With a few sides. I had a sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and was a perfect cut, Medium rare as you should. With a lovely crisp salad and sweet potato fries. That coupled with a pint of Heineken was just the trick. Everyone in my party were equally as happy with their meals. The only one possible criticism i could give would be the wine list, Which was slightly limited. In conclusion, If you haven't. you should.

Heading out for food into morriston i have to say... i didn't expect much,We (6 hungry lads) walked into the the bar,We were all very surprised at how nice the decor was inside... . very very clean and modern. Bar staff were very friendly, Attentive and asked us if we were enjoying the meal and if there was anything else they could do.The food didn't take too long to arrive either. 25 minutes is acceptable considering we were a table of 6 , all ordering steaks, done to our own preference plus 6 different side orders. The food itself was really good, my steak was perfect, medium , nice bit of pink in the middle, very juicy and the taste was perfect. i'm not a steak connoisseur but iv eaten steak at a more expensive well known restaurant and the quality of my steak here was outstanding. The sweet potato fries are a must have, the best iv ever tasted, and the chips that came with my steak were stunning, the seasoning on both the chips and sweet potato fries was lovely. The onion rings.... think the batter was tempura style,, but they were nice too and tasted nice dipped in the slaw.If your gonna eat here try anything because everything iv tried so far has been lovely.all be it i'v only tried 2 of the mains and 6 of the sides but iv not had a bad meal or a huge bill.Drinks...drinks were cheap. 5 bottles of sol for £10. bit of a winner, also if your into wine which some of the boys are then you can bring your own, we nipped next door into the bargain booze to grab a bottle of prosseco (which we would have ordered in the restaurant but they didn't have any left) :(they did charge a corking fee but i consider that to be fair..All in all a good night out and great food and cheap drinks.. me and the lads are going back again for another lads night when the wives permit :)

The food was really good, the price was OK and the staff were very attentive. The waitress said that everything was cooked from fresh by the chef but we didnt have to wait as long for our meals as we thought we might. So no problem there. The place itself is very nicely done out in a modern, friendly way. Quirky pictures on the walls which gave the place its own character. Toilets were very posh and immaculately clean. We have been back several times as the food is amazing and well priced. I can truly recommend this place as the food is to die for. The roast beef Sunday dinner was delicious. My Husband and I have been regular customers of Hogans since their day 1 of opening. At least twice each weekend(because we both work) and sometimes for food.Last Sunday we spent £50 not counting the Fri and Sat.Approx 2 months ago we booked for Christmas Day dinner.Rachel the barmaid called the chef to talk us thru the menu. He explained that he only cooks fresh food...Nothing frozen. As he talked us about his cooking we decided to book.I asked for a price and he replied £14.99 ...I asked him if he was sure because Christmas day is normally a lot more. His reply...I decide the prices on my menu and that is the price.I proceeded to book with Rachel and she stated we were the first in her diary.I offered a deposit or if preferred to pay in full.Rachel said..She said No we know you ..You are fine.Last week I queried the price with Gerry because they were advertising at £39.99.He said Chefs fault..I will sort it...Now 1 week before Christmas I receive a phone call cancelling my booking ,which was also my Mother in Laws treat, because I didn't pay a deposit. When I related my story she said well Sorry Tricia but we are still cancelling.I told her I will never come in for food again-Oh she says so you're regulars.Well we will still be cancelling sorry. Such unprofessional conduct.(And remember I did offer to pay)We will never set foot in that bar again...What a customer relationship and policy they hold.Beware Patrons!!!!!And now we find that everywhere is fully booked... I’ve never left a review before but this was too dreadful not too! Horrendous customer service after we ordered over £90 worth of food, delivery driver delivered food to the wrong address with nothing to let us know it had been delivered! When calling to request a refund I was told that I’d made a mistake and to double check with my house and that I should’ve contacted them earlier (even though we waited the allocated delivery time -1hr) We were then hung up on by a member of the team whilst we were attempting to claim our money back 2 hours after our delivery with no food! If I could leave a lower review I would! I suggest no one risks wasting any money on this terrible/rude business!
