Service is good and quick as usual, food is well presented and hot, always the same. Can't really think of any improvements required here.

I had a lovely evening at the deers leap. Special mention to Hannah who was always there when we needed her and nothing was ever too much! Well done all at the Deers Leap!

Brooke in particular was absolutely brilliant! Service with a smile! Nothing was an issue for her. Great atmosphere, and a great pint.

Tasty food and great atmosphere

We - hubby & me & 2 friends enjoyed our evening here. Our friends stuck to drinks but I had fish, chips & mushy peas. Hubs had the red wine lasagne. We both had a pint of blackcurrant & lemonade with ice. Lovely and refreshing. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was tasty 😋 🍴 We look forward to returning.

Bar staff friendly, helpful. Used app but we had to ask for drinks after 10 mins as hadn't shown up on screen. Food fab , will go again .

There is always a nice relaxed atmosphere at the Deer’ Leap. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. The food is reasonably priced and always tastes great. 10/10

Had food for 1st time here wouldn't again barly warm and tasteless

Didn't have any food but my clothes smelled like I had a massive plate of fried onions. Table's were dirty not cleared, Guinness was okay

Staff were great, particularly the waitress running the food. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a good variety. I was so excited to see vegan ribs on the menu! The restaurant had a clean and welcoming environment.

It's OK, mixed grill was nice,but some of it was overdone and a bit burnt

If I could give no stars I would , Inedible sirloin steak mushrooms weren't even washed bits of grit asked for medium and it was well done awfully, toilets you have to wipe your feet on the way out while the staff stand by the bar and chat. Avoid .... overpriced drinks could have gone to marina cheaper and better 🤔

The food took over a hour to come out and then it wasn't that nice. This is the 2nd sizzler pub we've been to in South wales and both have been awful

Food was excellent and the place was lovely and clean . Only thing that let me and my wife's experience down was the wait for our meal. Nearly an hour and only had it then when we called over a member of staff and asked where it was . And after that we ordered desert which also took so long we cancelled it as we couldn't wait any longer . So out of 5* this is downgraded to 2 . Shame really .

Great place for a hot or cold drink waiting to pick the kids from school.

Nice atmosphere, although a little background music would have been nice. Good service at the bar. Food came and was nice, apart from the garlic bread, which was burnt. After we had finished our meal, our plates were not taken away. We ordered desserts, and our plates were not taken away ever when we received our deserts at the table.

It was an absolute ludicrous experience!!! I took the kids and the husband Wednesday to expect a hunters chicken and a 14oz gammon. To be served food cold!! And the attitude from the workers were absolutely disgusting. Never going here again!!!!!!!! 😡😡

Nice pub good food. Only problem is smoking area right outside the restaurant part , Sometimes doors are wedged open and windows open.

It was a very well clean place however it got over crowded quite quickly. The TVs can’t be heared. Using the order on the phone is encouraged however when ordering we worried over an hour for drinks which we had to go and get ourselves. When it wasn’t really busy

Sorry I took my son here as it was my regular years ago but i have to say I was not impressed with the food I have had more fish inside a fish finger it was so thin it curled up and it was over cooked my son had hunters chicken and he said it was the worst he had ever had I was so embarrassed won’t be having food there again 👎👎👎

Visited for the first time in quiye some time, found it a pleasant modern local pub, only had drinks but it was a good experience.

We visited the Deers Leap around lunch time, it was really busy there when we walked in so we were prepared to wait for food. We ordered and the food came out super quickly. The manager Andrew brought our food out and ensured we had everything we needed. Although it was busy, the staff were cheery and working extremely hard. Food was lovely, steak was cooked exactly as I wanted it. Really good visit, thank you!

Nice food, but if you're going on one of the offers nights, make sure you go early. Half of our party arrived and ordered/paid for food but when we arrived about 10 minutes later, we were told they'd shut the kitchen an hour earlier than advertised. After threatening to leave, including the ones who had already ordered, they eventually agreed to take the rest of the order! It was my birthday meal and my son and family were over from America. Explained it was a special occasion, but it took about 10 minutes of discussion before they finally agreed! Having said that, although they said we'd have to wait for our food, it arrived quite quickly. The food was lovely.

Food Is Standard Pub Fare, But Good Value. Staff Are Very Friendly. Attmosphere On A Saturday Night Is Great, With Live Music At 9pm.

Really enjoyed ,food & atmosphere amazing.Highly recommened it ,plus its only 5mins from my Bungalow .

Booked a table for my mother’s 60th 5 of us ordered meals. They brought one meal out swiftly and that was ok. But the other 4 took over another 45 minutes to arrive, we managed to feed the baby and eat the meal before asking where the other meals were. When they arrived the steak and chicken on the mixed grill were charcoal. Three of the meals were cold only one was hot. My mother ordered a scampi and chips and it was hard overcooked and cold. Even the mushy peas in the pot were cold. Not likely to return.

Booked a table and ordered food at 5 30 food came out at 6.30 late the meals were cold and scampi was rock hard the mixed grill came cold and cooked as if it was all burnt very dissatisfied with the food and time delay between the first meal that came out to the rest of the partys meal wont be going there again

It was very busy!!! There was one girl serving at the bar, and another staff member (dark curly hair, glasses) bringing the food out but they both did a brilliant job. The food was lovely, although the plates weren't cleared away as quickly as they could have been. Desserts took a long time to arrive, but were lovely. The atmosphere was amazing there, everyone was in really good spirits

Food was decent value, and the staff were friendly. I used the app to order at the table and it took ages to get served... multiple customers getting served at the bar after orders were placed on the app, the app order seemingly being left to wait indefinitely until the bar was clear of customers. The app also randomly went down at some points through the night, and wouldn't accept discount codes (despite being valid and one of the main attractions to draw footfall midweek). Service score is a reflection of the app interaction, prioritisation, and delay... the staff were very friendly.

Great location, plenty of parking, great food, plenty of room inside with empty tables but still had to confirm with bar staff for a spot to sit.

No communication whatsoever what the hold up is in the kitchen. Waited over 45 minutes and watched others get their meals before us, even though they ordered after us. Terrible service

Polite...very professional... Went that extra mile.. We all were well looked after... A Big thank. u.. . I'd surgest. he could teach some of the staff at the marquis Arms... Some CUSTER CARE ATTITUDE.. 💯

We came in the afternoon and wanted light food. They had the perfect light bight menu there, B.L.T wrap was stunning, and we boneless chicken bites. We had 2 Pepsi max off the pump. Nice clean place lots of parking.

Called in on the off chance, very busy on a Wednesday lunchtime. Staff are fantastic, friendly & welcoming. Didn't have to wait too long for our order to come out. Food was well presented & tasted great 👍 (onion rings need to be cooked a bit longer, we're soggy) Next we're in the area, we will call in again. Thank you 👍

Kayla was so helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, she was amazing when dealing with my allergies and knew all her information regarding their menu. A lovely visit tonight at The Deer's Leap. Called in for a spur of the moment catch up and food. The service was fantastic and the waitress, Emma, was so lovely. Attentive, polite and friendly. I was so impressed by her and the great way she dealt with us. I'm not sure if anyone from the Leap will see this but if you do, pass on my thanks.

Depending on the day you get great service and food ..but we recently visited was busy food was awful service was the sane my grandson only had hot dog and out of the 11 in our group his was the last out . That was on the Friday 8th Sept who ever was in charge that night needs to be talked too as attitude was terrible even when hair found in 3 dishes on same table 😬

stood for nearly 10 minutes waiting to be served. establishment was busy so expected the wait. we seen one girl pass us 3 or 4 times so we said could we be served? she replied "as you can see I'm really busy you'll have to wait!".now if she had said I'm sorry I am busy I will get to you when I can, that would been fine but being told you'll just have to wait with the look she gave us, is what has annoyed me. we got to the bar and the same girl was with another girl on the till and again, the way she spoke was terrible to the point the girl said to someone else "who does she think she's speaking to!". we were going to make a complaint but thought the girl was a member of management so didn't see the point of complaining to the problem! ended up just ordering drinks and leaving instead of staying for the meal we had originally came for. our own fault for not reading the reviews beforehand, as we can see from a few below that attitude of the staff is an issue!!!

Alway a good time up the leap on your own with friends or family staff are always welcoming and always food is delicious and able to get out of a good mood. 👍🏻

Nice pub, however, the lack of service is quite shocking, not enough multi task staff who actually serve drinks behind the bar.

Attended the quiz for the first time after being told by the Bryncoch Inn that the deers leap hold one and what a joke. Staff storming around with faces on, no friendly interactions. I lost count at the amount of times I heard staff members being spoken down to. Tried to order at the smaller room and stood for ages with no staff, would've been quicker to serve myself!! Staff young, loud, and incompetent. Didn't stay for long as we had nothing good to report on. The pub itself is nice, looks modern. Didn't try the food as we knew it would be the same as the Bryn. Just completely let down by the service.

Not nice at all. Checked the reviews, was supposed to be good. These reviews are made by multiple people , all going to Sizzling pubs, at the same time , so obviously false reviews. Food dismal, inside dirty.

Good food very well priced, combined with great service from all with a beginners lesson on the sizzlers big money saving app from Kayla.. Would definitely recommend

I didn't find anything great, booked on line got a confirmation email said booked called at the pub only to be told we did not book anything, showed my email they said sorry but there were no tables , so we had to wait, food was over cooked dry chicken burnt chips so food not ok.

Food was piping hot and tasty, portion size was generous.

Very busy, not enough staff ...had to clear and clean table food is cheap and it shows on busy times . Unfortunately.

Very impressed with the way the leap has adjusted to the current corvid situation. The app works very well for ordering, and the service is very quick with the drinks delivery too. Well done all.

We went to have a bite to eat and watch the live entertainment. We really enjoyed our evening. The transformation of the place is truly amazing. We had starters and mains which were delicious and didn't wait long for either. The band was great. We had a great time.

My husband and I called in for lunch, we both had gammon, it was burnt and very dry. The couple on the next table couldn't eat theirs either.

The food took over half an hour to come out. Wasn’t really that busy. Only one member of staff behind the bar. Couldn’t cope with all the drinkers for the football. Stopped doing tabs! Shocking. We go because my partner works for the company so having a tab makes sense. 33% discount. We decided against more drinks and dessert as we would not get the discount.

Service as great especially ordering from the table Improve your website as it advertises breakfast served til 12 but it didn’t open until 12, we were looking for breakfast until we realised it was 11.45
