The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

Food well below par in both quality and quantity( lots of red cabbage though). The premises, although freshly decorated by the looks of it , felt cold and empty.

Delivery was ordered at 10.20am and finally arrived at 1pm. Breakfast for the family and was obviously sitting ready at cafe for hours as arrived stone cold. My sister in law ordered a Macdonalds at 12 midday and arrived 40 mins later (both stores are next to one another). Complained and got just over £5 back. What’s the point as tried to cancel at 12pm just to be told I would loose my money,(food sitting ready in store for over an hour and not remade is a joke)Total waste of time and money…

Found a bit of a nail in my cheese and ham panini, for £9.00 I would expect better. Won't be eating there again bought a toastie, panini a cake and a juice for £24.00. But the bonus was the nail which was free of charge

Llegué justo antes de las 3 pm y el restaurante era bastante tranquilo. Pedido dos bebidas calientes (ya que aparentemente no hay comida caliente disponible). Bastante suave taza de té y capuchino insípido. John Lewis ha bajado cuesta abajo.

The staff here are run ragged..not nearly enough of them it seems to me! Very often there is a shortage of cutlery, or condiments.or the coffee /hot chocolate machines are empty, and you have to wait on someone to fill up said items, i’ts not the first time We have Waited 5-10 min for someone to come to the till,and take our order as they are out on the floor delivering meals .the food here is good..but definitely .’NEED ‘ More staff for this cafe to run smoother.

El mejor pescado con patatas fritas alrededor, y mi esposa siempre disfruta de su cena de salchichas. Estoy tan feliz de tener un lugar para conseguir eglefino decente en la zona. Muchos lugares o no lo hacen, o es un desastre empapado. ¡No es el lugar más barato, pero obtienes lo que pagas!

Used to get a gardeners breakfast so thought I'd try again. Absolutely shocked. Where the breakfast used to include hash browns, no longer included now. Where beans were in a superate little pot, about 2 teaspoons of beans oozing in lots of juice straight on the plate and soaked the toast. One miniature sausage, one bacon , one egg and toast for £5.50. Will never throw my money away on their food again. Their coffee is even more expensive than the high class hotels. AVOID

The food here was very nice and came out quickly when we were served. There was a bit of confusion on if it was table service or not and therefore we took a while to be served but once we ordered it was very good food and the staff were very pleasant.

Absolutely fabulous, good food and staff were lovely. I will be back thanks. I can highly recommend. The fried bread was out of this world.

£ 13 . 00 es demasiado caro para pescado y patatas fritas de una tienda de patatas fritas. La calidad de los alimentos no justifica este precio premium. Ya no puedo recomendar esta tienda.

Disappointing coffee and scone. Went in for a wee break en route further south. Coffee was bitter and watery. Scone edible but not the freshest.

not sure what’s happened but down hill since refurb. Pointless ordering online and a collection for certain time as you are made to queue with no orders so you have to wait 30mins plus to collect your ordered and paid for food. Fish quality has gone down hill, yet prices increased. We’ve been a customer of 5 plus years

Siempre me dijieron si pides un filete raro en un restaurante y se sirve de tamaño, el chef más probable ser británico, si es azul sirve, entonces el chef será continente europeo. Tuve la rara bife de costilla. Muy bien condimentado y cocinado a la perfección. Sin salir de mi camino para comer aquí.

We were in the Craignure area and looking for a hot drink and cakes. There was a large queue early on, but we called back later and got served easily. We sat outside which gets a great view of the ferry terminal, though it's worth beng aware that there is limited seating inside and outside, so if the queue looks big it may be difficult to get a seat. The coffee and cakes were lovely. My only small criticism is that I wasn't offered a tray to carry my order on, and because we were sitting outside, it was quite awkward to carry everything. This should have been plain to see to the woman serving me, but instead another customer offered me help. I appreciate that only counter service is offered, but this did suggest that hospitality and service were perhaps lacking and is why I never left a tip on the day.

The food took ages and it was over priced.the Service was terrible and the manager was walking around not doing her job i ordered chips there was dog hair in my food the tables were sticky and my coffee was cold and half full disgusting.
