Was on holiday with my kids and a few friends and as we were waiting for departure from STY airport we decided to grab some food. Little did we know the cafe was run by the young team and the lady who I’m guessing is the boss had no manners in the slightest was really rude towards me and even the airport staff cleaners. Ordered a link roll which I was refused not sure why not but I was fine with that so I asked for a cheese and ham toastie which I was also refused at this point I started to get annoyed so I just asked for a coffee and a slice of cake which they had set out at the bar so i couldn’t be refused. Ended up paying 8.80 and given the wave goodbye. Ended up paying 9.60 for half a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. Absolute joke just as well I got cake cos it was the nicest thing that I got out of that situation. Never coming back

Terrible service, Horrible attitude towards customers, cutlery and plates were not clean, food was semi and the cafe seems to be ran by youths. Deffo not coming back here I know it’s harsh but truth isn’t always dandy

Decent coffee, served quickly. As airport cafes go this is pretty good. Not crowded, sensible prices, spotlessly clean, good place to catch up on a bit of work or study waiting for a flight.

Absolutely shocking service . No clue whatsoever. Overpriced rubbish . 18 min wait for a coffee! Which was made by a child while the owner / manager walked around aimlessly

Me and my boyfriend Luciel had a wonderful experience there. I had a baked potato with cheese and beans, it was splendid, my boyfriend had a large breakfast and he found it wonderful. The prices were a bit high, however the food tasted wonderful so I would definitely eat there again, next time I'm travelling. We weren't able to get any coffee so my boyfriend was a bit upset, however he had a Dr Pepper so he was quite happy about that. The staff was friendly and the environment was enjoyable for having a meal, overall would recommend going.

Traveling for work... I had a toasted BLT and a latte, and the purple haired person who served me was polite and courteous. They really made me feel valued as a guest with their excellent, efficient service. If I were still in hospitality management, I'd have offered them a job and a raise!

I had a fantastic stay! A cosy and easy going iland style hotel with clean rooms and very friendly and attentive staff leaving no wishes unfulfilled. I am a vegetarian and it was no problem to provide me with delicious meals every day. There is a bus stop by the hotel and it is a short 10 min drive to the Stones and a 20min walk to Broch dun Carloway. I highly recommend this hotel!

Waited 20 minutes for a regular cappuccino. Ended up getting it as a takeaway because I didn’t want to rush—but I’m not even sure what I was given, as it definitely wasn’t what I ordered. The staff seemed visibly exasperated and it was short staffed. Hope you get more staff in future to ensure a good experience all around.

Inspired by the “EatDrinkHebrides” trail map, popped in to collect a picnic lunch during a Hebridean road trip. We had the most amazing toasties and hot chocolate. Handy for the ferry. Worth a detour!!
