Could do better Could do with more atmosphere upstairs in the café. Sometimes it's too noisy when there's lot's of people there. Can't hear myself think properly too many Beady eye's everywhere :'(

An Lanntair is a hub for creativity and the Arts in the Outer Hebrides. We are a multi arts venue – at one and the same time a contemporary art gallery, a theatre, a cinema, a dance studio, a concert hall, a platform for poetry and literature, a studio – every space stretched to showcase the Arts in multiple forms. Our work stretches across a national and international platform, yet our distinctiveness lies in being ‘of the place’, rooted in who we are, and the creativity of Gaelic and the Outer Hebrides takes centre stage.

Great café, really nice sandwiches & soups! Definitely recommend! There’s also a lovely view on the harbour, and a dog friendly area! ☀️ Only little con is that we waited quite a while for our meals, but other than that, loved it!

Very much gone downhill. The guy serving had all the charm of a smelly fart. Over the years I've been here many times. Will not be back until it changes hands again. On last visit ordered 2 coffees. They were behind in bringing out the coffees. Really? Wasn't busy FFS. And the coffee was the worst I've tasted in a while. Left half. Only giving a second star because the place historically holds good memories.

Stopped here for a bite to eat for lunch in the cafe. Had a nice toasty and an amazing flapjack. Nice view of the sea, and lovely friendly staff (thank you!) 😊

Always loved going to An Lanntair but ive noticed recently it has gone downhill, the food is really awful ...the bar the events reception well done guys but whoever is in charge of the food really needs to rethink !

Not bad coffee. Can be a bit noisy in the cafe. Not sure about the dodgy pottery display in the gallery.

Went to a celebratory concert by Calum Martin. Most of the spoken parts in between the music was in Gaelic, as was the songs and music, but this didn't diminish the enjoyment for a simple non-bilingual Englishman. The venue is great, and allows the audience to be so close and nearly intimate with the stage performance. The seating was comfortable and afforded good leg room. The bar staff were incredibly efficient, polite and helpful. The ticket reception likewise suggested I may be eligible for a concession price (and I was!), so grateful for that. The inside theatre staff, and unseen crew made the whole experience great for me, as well as the performers did. Thoroughly recommend this venue. I returned a few days later in the daytime as I found I had time for a coffee and cake in the cafe/bar. Again, the service was great. The view across the harbour towards the castle is wonderful. Thanks An Lanntair, it made my visit to Lewis & Harris special and memorable.

Good friendly staff beautiful views and cheap

Lovely views, painfully slow service for something simple like soup. What should have been a pleasant half hour turned into a disappointing trial of patience

Very helpful girl at the desk who called me when there was a cancellation as the tickets for the movie were sold out. Friendly barman but pity the place closes down the minute the movie starts. It would have been nice to have a coffee or beer after the show.

Went to see Blazin Fiddles, lovely intimate venue couldn't fault it. Would like to go back one day to try cafe in the day.

Lovely visit, great spot for a coffee and rest stop. Gift shop well stocked and fairly priced. Café was very busy though and tables messy but believe this was a staffing issue. Staff still tried their best though - Callum was so polite.

This place has seriously gone downhill in the last few years! Went to the cinema on a Friday evening, that part was fine. It was a long film so went out to get a second drink but the bar was shut!! When the movie finished, the place was almost in darkness as we left and the bathroom was grimy. So sad to see the place such a shadow of what it used to be 😢

Great place for a strupag and a bite to eat, giving exiles like myself that idea, I'm a cove in Stornoway.🚣. Very helpful staff, accessible cafe and beautiful views over the harbour and ferry terminal. Clip not from cafe window but gives you an idea of busy Stornoway Harbour and anchorage 😉

Been here several times but disappointed to find they have stopped serving local beers, only lager. Surely a place like this should promote local products.

Just went for a coffee, great coffee great service just altogether great place.

Interesting information centre cinema and coffee shop

Great venue for medium sized, intimate productions. I went there for an evening with Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, and the auditorium and stage suited their type of show perfectly. There's a car park just across the road which was free in the evening (not sure about during the day though). There's also a small cinema, a bar with alcoholic / soft / hot drinks, and a small restaurant. The whole place was smart and clean and seemed to be run very efficiently. Queues were never large nor slow moving, even during the interval. Recommended.

Great place to meet friends and have a coffee, the cinema is pleasant place to watch a film.

I have been to An Lanntair on many occasions. There is not one evening I can ever say of, as being disappointing. I have been to a New year Celebration Evening, Pantomime, Blue Grass and Folk music,and most recently a fantastic event of Dance called "6 feet,3 shoes". It was a wonderful display of Spanish Flamenco Dance Accompanied by a Gifted Classical Guitar Musician. The 3 ladies also performed Scottish Highland Ballet style to a very accomplished Fiddle player!

Had a lovely pot of tea & nice cake, staff were very welcoming & friendly.

Lovely view of the harbour in Stornoway. Bright airy surrounding in the restaurant and bar areas. We only had tea and a cake which was very nice but the meals being delivered to other tables looked large portions and well presented.

A multi purpose venue hosting cinema, dance hall, theatre and work shops. With a restaurant, bar and what I would call a cafe. It appears to be well used. I have been to a couple of live performances and the attendance has been near capacity on both occasions. My friends tell me that the meals are very good but I personally have not eaten at the venue. I have very much enjoyed the two live events I have attended. I'm not going to give a review of the two performances as this is a review of An Lanntair.

Food was nice but service sadly lacking.

A wonderful community asset, had an Isles Community Art Exhibition when I visited. Also a nice cafe & restaurant, good food, good prices, great service. (Restaurant also has great harbour views.)

Went to see Elvis not bad got better as it went on

Food was good but service was shocking. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes with no one else around me and ignored by 4 members of staff. I understand some are servers and some just make drinks but acknowledge the customers at least. Then someone walked up and I was ignored and they were served. As customer service goes this place needs a reality check as a competitive world we are in if it was in the mainland the place would been closed down due to lack of customers. Food was nice decent potions for the price and couldn’t knock that drinks prices to high £2 for can of coke is excessive.

Nice cafe, shop and exhibition. Parts of Stornoway look tired, likely post COVID, but An Lanntair lively. Was also absolutely brilliant as the Festival Club for HebCelt - dancing, music and a special honorary mention to chilly and chips which we got at 1am - genius ...

Visited a few years ago and enjoyed the meal and views. Visited this week and glasses sitting area was all reserved which we happens. Staff came out and simply said “ we have no tables for you “. Went back to booth area and all the tables were dirty. Stood for a few minutes and staff did not see m interested in assisting. Disappointing

Whilst we understand how busy the staff are during festival that does not account for bad manners and bad service, the staff were extremely rude and dismissive apart from young girl who apologised for our wait, placed our order with Kevin who got the order wrong whilst also displaying rude customer service skills towards us, Kevin was also eating and drinking whilst serving us which is not very hygienic, food was lovely but service was very poor more so from Kevin and his assistant

Food perfectly acceptable and affordable. Beer - tasked like London Prude- delicious. Now not available. Perhaps expensive for a family but one or two very nice.

I understand they were busy but they served my friends cake a good 46 mintues before we got our tea and twice we had to ask where our tea was .. didn't seem that busy and there was enough staff on .... the staff just didn't seem to be coping very well with the ordering .ooh and im diary free I asked for dairy free butter which they didn't do but the man serving us was very abrupt with his reply yet they state on the menu all "dietary requirements met" its not a difficult request to stock dairy free butter

Very good distancing and minimising of covid risk. Delish food in the new Elinor set up. Much clapping of hands. Go and eat and view the arts.

Ordered soup took 30 mins as they forgot about us was on a tight schedule so not happy and when came was cold and no butter for bread waitress noticed us sitting and double checked our order if not for her would have been longer

We saw a movie in the evening here. Nice center and very interesting movie, a collection of sorry films on different nature and adventure around the world. Nice cafe included

This centre seems to be the main cultural hub in Stornoway, and probably Lewis. Very decent bar and a panoramic cafe seating area with views out to the harbour and sea beyond. Great staff, very friendly and attentive, when we went there was a free book event with drinks and nibbles on offer for free!

Had a lovely morning here looked at exhibition and photography had tea abdctgen lunch and met people to hold a meeting over coffee. Great place relaxed and nice food x

Small gallery space with free entry and cafe & shop well presented. There is a cinema but limited showings.

Told me to find a table for four by myself then lectured by another staff member for doing so.
