It would be nice if they could provide what is on the menu, but was told "We can only serve what we're sent". Lots of things not available

The staff here are run ragged..not nearly enough of them it seems to me! Very often there is a shortage of cutlery, or condiments.or the coffee /hot chocolate machines are empty, and you have to wait on someone to fill up said items, i’ts not the first time We have Waited 5-10 min for someone to come to the till,and take our order as they are out on the floor delivering meals .the food here is good..but definitely .’NEED ‘ More staff for this cafe to run smoother.

this was the worst experience ive ever had in my life! the cafe closes 1hr early everyday just so the workers can sit down and do nothing. disgusting establishment i will not come back ever again!

Asked the kids what they thought and this was their response: "best cake in the world with the best chocolatey, creamiest icing"

Went to Morrisons cafe holyhead Road Coventry served complete slop of a lunch. Disgraceful have pictures as you can't actually believe it. Gave manager opportunity to reply not even the courtesy of a reply. Don't go there

Went for quick breakfast with daughter ordered full breakfast and tea waited 25 minutes on arrival sausages deep fried and bacon more fat than anything else egg bust and cold tattie scones half cooked beans warm ended up leaving it also buy time it arrived my pot if tea had gone cold .on way out noticed other customers also left there's on the plates Worst ever need a proper cook and staff that move quicker never again

Gave Morrisins half price breakfast a go at the Gilmerton store. Absolutely terrible. To start with nobody at the till when I went to order. Eventually found a girl who took the order. Already feeling I shouldn't have bothered. Maybe a lesson on how to smile would have helped her. Breakfast arrived. Egg overcooked or like the rest of the breakfast probably had been stuck in a microwave. Plate (or should I say very small tray) cold. Food rapidly losing temperature whilst I try to figure out where to get the tea. This us the tea at £1.30 a cup. Never again. Just really feel for the victims that pay £7.30 at the normal price.

Our food came in cardboard box's and takeaway cups Fish and chips over cooked or been lying for a while. Ordered poached eggs when arrived they were like rubber. Was told they buy them in cooked and just heat them up. Ordered breakfast same again bacon very crisp fried egg flung on top of FOOD not looking very appetizing mushroom not even cooked. No hash browns no blackpudding. Won't be back

Excellent breakfast, lots of choice. Freshly cooked. Good price. Nice service. Local to tram stop. clean and tidy.

Went for a breakfast place was nearly empty was told it would be at least 30 minutes wait was asked to pick a table but every table was filthy with dirty dishes had to clean my own table as no one there to clean them

Went for lunch with a friend and although we knew it was cheap didn't quite expect the terrible presentation of the food. We both ordered fish and chips with beans and tartar sauce. We thought the tartare sauce would be in a separate sachet on the side but no - a large dollop of the sauce had been slapped on top of the very saucy baked beans!! Disgusting! Why could they not have put it on the fish or at least away from the beans. Glad I didn't ask for brown sauce for the chips as it would probably been on top of the tartare sauce. Most places give you sachets of sauces - more hygienic. Totally put me off and will not be back.

Bought a few sandwiches and a coffee. Tables are filthy. No one cleaning them. I will not be back. Disgraceful.

The staff are nice and helpful. The food is very affordable and tastes quite nice. The Scottish breakfast however was a big let down for me. The tea for 2 though is great value for money and tastes delicious. The cafe has the tables spaced out which makes it great for social distancing (considering we went during covid-19). Overall the cafe at this Morrisons is nothing that unique compared to the others but still go if you are looking for somewhere to eat that doesn't cost too much money!

it is always with regret to give a bad review but been several times with no improvement food is often cold

Ordered fish and chips, told they had no fish. Ordered burger, advised they had no burgers. Tried for tikka, they had no tikka. Tried to order a baked potato. They had no baked potatoes which is incredible considering the supermarket has a basket of them! Tried to buy a scone. They had no jam! Incredible. Had to ask for plate as none given. Bought sandwich. Did not eat as meat jammed in middle with none elsewhere. Very poor experience and 2 hungry children!

Had breakfast here before heading to the Airport after our train journey. Good value and good size portions. Could have been a bit hotter but it was okay.

There seems to be no one serving behind the counter we had to order at the till . We had to ask where the soup was and were pointed to an urn to help ourselves .We then had to ask where the rolls were at the till and he went and got them for us .The cabinet that should have had rolls was empty and had not been filled ! .We have always enjoyed visits to other Morrisons which seem to run like clockwork . I would suggest that something is wrong with the management not keeping an eye on problems . Come on Morrisons you can do better than this !

went in for breakfast as we have had many breakfasts in Morrisons , all over the country and they are always busy. However, this one at the Gyle was quite quiet. We have allergies and did not want toast, so as we have always done, we ordered 2 Vegetarian breakfasts, with no toast, but swap for an extra hash brown. The Cashier then said "white or brown toast ?" and my hubby reiterated "no toast please " and was assured that the order was placed without toast. I ordered scrambled eggs with it and hubby chose poached. We took our seat, after collecting cutlery, condiments and KITCHEN ROLL as they had run out of napkins. Pretty soon the order arrived, complete with toasts on both !! I explained to the waitress that we had allergies and had asked for no toast, swapping the toast for a hash brown and she took them back. Quickly, she returned , this time, no toast - however, there were no eggs on my hubby's plate , he had 4 hash browns , a veggie sausage ,mushrooms, half a tomato and beans in a ramekin. I had scrambled eggs,2 hash browns veggie sausage, half a tomato and beans in a ramekin - no mushrooms. So, I complained again and soon, the eggs and mushrooms arrived in separate dishes.She apologised and said there was some confusion about our order, although the Cashier had put the order through clearly as confirmed on our receipt. We were never approached again to ask if all was well, had I been asked I would have mentioned that my scrambled eggs were cold, the sausage was like a brick, so over cooked and the hash browns, instead of being golden and moist, they were burnt brown and hard. It seemed like everything was cooked already and were in warming dishes, just waiting on orders instead of being cooked fresh. I have NEVER had food from a Morrisons cafe like this before , it was disgusting and we left a lot on our plates . Usually it's all eaten , but this was inedible. In addition, the place was grimy , a waitress came and cleared a table 2 tables away from us , but left the one next to us dirty ! There was food debris on the floor too. We will never be back there and would advise, if you have allergies - stay away !

Had bacon sandwiches and coffee good service and value for money make the effort to visit if your in the area.

Visited for Friday lunch. Order taken and paid for at 1.20pm, told that wait for chicken burger would be 20 minutes. Also ordered small fish and chips plus soft drinks. After waiting fully 45 minutes I complained and asked for refund as hubby was visibly shivering even with jacket over cardigan and I was also cold. Told that the delay was because they were waiting for peas. I had ordered beans, not peas. Offered refund and given food so we ate it, although by this time we just wanted to get out as we were really cold. When went to get refund I was grudgingly given £9.20 towards £15.60 total cost. The lady at the next table told us she had complained about her long wait. She was refunded and told it was because they had run out of chips. I have never in at least 25 years experienced such atrocious service.

if you are not fussy, Morrisons cafe serves food at reasonable prices. we went for dinner for 2 consecutive nights. Fish and chips & a latte cost us £7 each.

Whether you are having a meal or high tea, you will not get any better value than here. The staff are lovely, the choice is great and the variety on offer is amazing.

Me and my family had a good dinner at this Morrison’s Cafe and the staff were very efficient and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was really good and excellent value for money.

This one is a very good place where we can get anything and everything. A nice place to hang out in the evening

O supermercado Morrisons é onde você vai comprar Whisky. Várias ofertas dos principais whiskys de baixo custo a um preço incomparável com as lojas do centro histórico. E outra coisa que você precisa comer é um doce típico da Escócia chamado Caramel Shortcake, e no Morrisons é baratinho.

Pedimos pescado y patatas fritas. . . Y la porción era enorme. . . y también sorprendentemente sabroso. . . un poco confundido ya que había una terminal de pedidos de comida (como en McDonald's) pero también tenían suficiente personal para atender la caja fuerte. Dedica eso a la mayoría de los clientes que son personas mayores y tienen miedo a la tecnología.

Ignore that its a supermarket and use the self service menu we got two veggie breakfasts and hot drinks for just over a tenner.

Ordered at touch screen. 2x poached egg on 2x toast & smashed avocado & scrambled egg on toast. Straight from fridge avocado & cold over cooked eggs. Scrambled looked like they were yesterday's. Very poor

We waited 15 minutes at least, and had to remind the staff we had been waiting for two bowls of soup. They said it’s just coming so another 5 minutes passed before receiving Luke warm soup. No exactly Rocket Science. We won’t be back. Future custom lost and adverse comments passed on to our friends.

The Morrison’s cafe decline continues in Edinburgh. Nice bright cafe but service very slow with our order for 3 basic Scottish Breakfasts placed at 10:49 being delivered at 11:18. Considering the restaurant was hardly busy, even allowing for fresh cooking, the time it took was terrible. Not sure if they have outsourced their catering but my last year’s experience certainly leads me to believe they have.

Visited here for breakfast we my 2 friends on a Sunday morning breakfast took ages to come tea was cold time it came then lady at till took my friends order wrong when we said the attitude of the lady was awful finally getting the right breakfast my friend told them no mushrooms woman snatched oor plates and swore thinking we didn’t hear her they clearly jst scrapped the mushrooms off the plate as the missed loads so glad my friend didn’t have allergy’s because they clearly didn’t care! Some customers service training would go a long way here!

Returned after an appalling meal last year as I had been informed it had improved and there is little choice of eating places in the shopping centre.

Llamé para pedir algo de comida, cuando ordené encontré difícil entender al tipo que me servía porque tenía una voz suave y tranquila y generalmente cuando visitaba un café de morrisons pido salchichas, pero esta vez me sorprendió cuando me preguntó qué salchicha quería. Y esto me tiró ya que solo como cerdo.

Good selection of breakfasts catering for large or small appitite. Staff freindly had helpful cafe kept clean.

Comí allí con mi madre y ambos tuvimos un pequeño desayuno. Estaba bien, pero el bollo de papas había sido frito, así que era tan duro como el cuero. Había platos sucios en al menos 10 mesas diferentes y no había tazas disponibles en el lavaplatos. Cuando los sacaron no estaban muy limpios y le dije a mi mamá: "Tendré dolor de boca mañana". Yo tenía razón. La comida es comestible pero necesitan ordenar la limpieza.

Lots of menu items unavailable. Food delivered was very small portions. Cashier / server rushed us through till at purchase, then started cleaning beside us while we ate.

I have eaten here a few times, and the food and service is good, but the cleanliness leaves room for improvement. The tables always seem to need a good wipe down.

We ate here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Lasagne and the Gammon. My wife had the Lasagne which she said was acceptable. I had the Gammon which looked as dreadful as it tasted. It was round, flat and colourless. The chips that came with it were under-cooked. I had a jam doughnut for afters. That was fine. The dining area was clean and the staff were fine. I appreciate this is a supermarket cafe but it fell below my standards on the food alone. I wouldn't eat here again.

We ate here instead of the hotel the food was excellent with friendly helpful staff and clean with reasonable prices.

Visited the Cafe after leaving the nearby IBIS Hotel after checkout to grab a quick bite to eat around 1130am on the 29th of October 2017 and we wish we didn't bother. We waited about 15 minutes in the queue to be served and once ordered we waited about 45 minutes to be served our breakfast. The staff were clearly overworked with one member of staff clearly in tears plating the food up.

Visited here for a bite to eat before we started our journey back to Shropshire. My Husband had a Scottish breakfast with tea, toast and orange juice and I had the meat and tatties with peas. Fabulous value for money and nice quality tasty food. Generous portions that filled us up nicely for our journey home. Vibrant little cafe that was really busy! That said we only had to wait 15 minutes for food which was gravest! Very pleasant

Staying in the hotel nearby decided to have breakfast in Morrisons. Great value and freshly cooked. Seating comfortable and clean in a nice quiet atmosphere.

this is just a basic supermarket cafe serving decent food most of the time also very cheap. there are better places to eat in the shopping mall.

He visitado este lugar varias veces y bastante parecido, tuve la 'mini desayuno" que era más que suficiente para mí, el café también es buena. También tienen cereales, tostadas y similares. La última vez que estuvimos allí, me aplastas una mosca en el soporte de la orden en la mesa, y a la mañana siguiente seguía allí, para mi diversión, pero mi esposa no ver el lado divertido. Volvería, sin duda

Decidimos tener una comida aquí antes de nuestro vuelo desde el aeropuerto de Edimburgo. Estaba muy ocupado, y cuando nos pusieron a nuestro pedido de carne y pescado y patatas fritas sobresaliente, nos dieron una bandera con un número para mostrar en nuestra mesa. No mucho tiempo después, tuvimos nuestras comidas entregadas a la mesa. Ambos disfrutamos de nuestra comida. Aunque estaba muy ocupado, las mesas estaban despejadas, y limpiado. Que era mucho más tranquilo en el momento en que terminaba la comida.

Me encuentro a mi madre aquí todos los lunes. Su personal amable, buen grub ofrece a precios muy razonables. Tiene un buen aseo para discapacitados.

Admittedly it was 2 January, however, the service was not great with the girl not listening and completely missing an order for one of our party. The food was ok.

Food is good and cheaper than in the Ibis Hotel. Staff are friendly and it is clean. Would always come again.

I came here for a quick bite. The food was fine, service, average. But I noticed the tables and seating area was pretty grubby since last time. It's a shame really, because it is quite nicely styled.

Eating at the Gile is a problem. The food hall is not great. Well Morrisons have a cafe. You can get a coffee with your shopping. It's OK

Staff are very nice in the restaurant and it is very clean, though I noticed the shelves with the teapots needed a thorough dusting because I was sat near it.I opted for poached eggs on toast, service was a little bit slow, tasty enough once it arrived.Easy, functional you can't go wrong !

Had a few bad experiences in this place but thought I'd give it another go. That was an error. No staff in sight after standing at till for 5 mins and then noticed that it was manned with a group of teenagers who clearly have no idea what they are doing. Ordered chips and burger as that can't go wrong. Error. After ordering I had to find a table that wasn't full of rubbish. No cutlery or condiments available either. 30 mins later I was served cold chips and a hard burnt burger. While waiting I could see a queue of customers waiting for refunds due to their wait and poor food order. Unless this is a last resort avoid this place.

We were staying across the road at the ibis hotel and decided to use the cafe here for breakfast... Great decision. Food was cracking cafe standard, service was quick enough & staff perfectly adequate for a supermarket cafe.Definitely recommend & we are going again today.

Recently refurbished but unclean. Staff unhelpful and surly. Food less than mediocre. Service very slow. There is actually nowhere decent to eat in this whole shopping mall.

Decided to use this restaurant rather than the hotel we were staying in and certainly not disappointed.The Big Scottish Breakfast brought back memories of my past life in Scotland - the only thing missing was Stornoway black pudding but that would put the price up.

Visited today with my daughter for breakfast. I order poached eggs and bacon. Breakfast was lukewarm. One egg overcooked the other would have been okay if hot. Bacon greasy as well as cold.

We visited here today and wished we hadnt..after 25mins we complained about the wait- no apologies and it arrived 5mins later (2×toasties) Terrible staff with the exception of the young man manning the till who was multi tasking. Other staff appeared to be walking around on a zombie like state with a cloth but only clearing 3 tables between them and even at that not cleaning the tables. Bear in mind there were lots of tables full off dirty plates etc! To top it all what appeared to be a supervisor or person in charge,never helped once or manage the staff choosing to chat to friends for 20 mins in this chaos then go for her break!!!! Morrisons you need to address this! Won't be back!!!!!

We used this Morrisons café for our breakfast while staying at the Ibis hotel opposite. Would rather pay for a hot breakfast than for the continental one available at the hotel

De comidas prontas, a frutas, vegetais e itens alimentícios em gereal, tb encontrei roupas, recarga para celular e eletrodomésticos além de roupa de cama,mesa e banho. Muito bom!

Went in for breakfast this morning and was extremely disappointed. I have had breakfast here on various occasions before and decided to pop in on a day off whilst doing some shopping. I wish I hadn't really bothered.Although it was quite busy (10.45am) there were a large number of tables left with plates, cups and a lot of uneaten food. Unfortunately by this point I had paid for my order.My food arrived just short of 30 minutes after ordering - just as well I had my hot drink to pass the time. The order when it arrived was wrong - not a major error, but it was still wrong and there was no comment/apology about the time I (and clearly many others) had to wait for my food.The food itself was mixed. Sliced sausage wasn't much thicker than the bacon, the beans and mushrooms were tepid.Lots of staff seemed to be milling around but no-one seemed to have a specific job.Disappointing visit and not cheap. Won't be rushing back in a hurry.

Went in for breakfast ! Couldn't find one clean table. Did ask the staff to get the table cleaned and got told they would be over in a min . Gave up after waiting for over 20 min . This place is not organised at all and whoever is the manage should make some changes !

I was first in at 8 o'clock. Porridge and Tea simple eh! Nahh! Took 20 mins to come and tea machine was not hot so had to wait. No urgency at all. Table had not been cleaned from yesterday. The worst Morrison's I've been too and I've been to lots.

We often go into the cafe for a quick coffee sandwich/scone. Busy place sometimes the tables are not cleared not enough staff.

Absolutely shocking experience. After waiting 30 min for my breakfast I ordered without mushrooms and tomato or fried bread came just as normal breakfast . After sending it back they forgot about my breakfast completely . Really really bad service

Morrison's is great because if an item comes close to the expiration date, they sell the food at a greatly reduced discount instead of throwing it away. They have a great selection of food to buy for breakfasts and to pack lunches to eat on the go. Let me give you an example: My husband and I bought food for 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner for 9 pounds. NINE. POUNDS. We saved SO much money buying our food here instead of eating out (which averaged us 26 pounds for one meal alone). So you can see how much money we saved. Go Morrisons!

The fish and chips and lasgane was lovely didn't like the gammon and egg as egg was hard. There was limited staff, but very reasonable for the price

We were staying across the road at the Ibis Budget, so this offered a good option for a cooked breakfast. You get a reasonable meal at a reasonable price. Before 9am there seems to be only one person on duty, so service is slow.We also called in for an evening meal. Again, reasonable and slow. So, do not come here if you are on a tight deadline to catch a plane or train.

If you are tired of paying $3.00 for a pint of water, you will be glad to find liters of water here for 1 pound or less. There is also everything you would need for making your own food just like any other supermarket. There are good choices. If you don't bring your own bag, be ready to pay just a bit for one as they are trying to control litter and pollution.

Ordered family lunch chips were missing told to que again we did for 10 minutes and ordered again waited for 20minutes and had to ask for our order appalling service no wonder Morrison's is toiling my first and last visit.

This cafe is just what you would expect self service and pretty average food. You are better off going to Marks and Spencer as the food is far better.
