Urban Bar & Grill in Aberdeen City

The food here was very nice and came out quickly when we were served. There was a bit of confusion on if it was table service or not and therefore we took a while to be served but once we ordered it was very good food and the staff were very pleasant.

I came here on Monday night around 18:00. The food was delicious - I had the Chicken Katsu and it was very tasty. The service was very good. The prices are good value for money. Overall this place has a great atmosphere and it’s a brilliant place to come for a bite to eat.

We came here on Sunday evening. The food was excellent. I had the chicken curry and a side of onion rings. Both were delicious. The service was first class... our waiter could not have been more helpful. The bill came to £40 for two people which was reasonable value for money. Overall we had a lovely meal and we would highly recommend this place to other people looking for some pub grub, or even sitting in the restaurant you can get a 'fancier' meal - both places are excellent.

I ate here on Wednesday night around 18:00. Food - very nice. I would recommend the Katsu Curry. Service - fine. Value - not bad. Overall we had a good experience and will come back again soon.

Built around a number of oil companies, piped in for a quick lunch. A super salad with chicken. Chicken a touch too thinly cut. Would be nice to have had a glass without lipstick

I had a bar meal during an overnight stay and was frankly disappointed. I could have had something tastier and more appetising from the local pub chain on the high street. For a large hotel this was poor with a lukewarm burger and chips in a kiddies portion. The only thing of note was the football on several tv screens

Decided to have a family dinner as previous experience when the hotel just opened was good however felt very dissapointed this time. The quality of food was dissapointing considering the prices being charged. Food came out very fast but only warm and a bit dry therefore left me wondering how it was made that fast though being not hot enough to think it was just made. Also had to ask twice to clean the table from previous customers that had left their starbucks coffee cups whilst the pub was not really busy( maybe three or four other tables) and waitress that came to do it clearly appeared angry about it. We paid about 45pounds for a low quality pub snacks and were left hungry for the night. Never again.

Service was good and fast, but the food did leave some room for improvement. Ky steak was chewy and the “rustic chips” were just potato wedges.

Thought we would try the carvery for my mum's birthday lunch. £15 per head seemed expensive for 4 course eat as much as you want seemed reasonable. We were told there would be options to cater for dairy free and gluten free. Food was Luke warm. There were no labels telling you what was in the side dishes or any staff to ask. The starters and fruit pudding option looked like they had been for a while. They advertise the pudding as a mega ice cream sundae which you can add your own sweets and sauce too. All you get is cardboard tub with a whippy style ice cream like you get at the beach which can't be described as mega. Very disappointed and a certainly not value for money.

We had a meal as a group of 15 we ordered house burgers which took a while but when they did come they were raw in the middle one of our group ordered steak well done but his was cold and undercooked also one of our group didn't get the chips they ordered all in all not a great experiance

My 3rd visit to the Village Hotel in Aberdeen for business. Conveniently placed close to many offices in the industrial park. The only restaurant for miles so a bit of a captivated market for all that stay at the hotel. This may be the reason for average at best service quality. Wrong food delivered, slow service and small selection is my experience on my visits.

Good quality food that is not overly priced and a nice clean restaurant with welcoming friendly staff.

ordered a chicken burger at 19:14, went up at 20:00 to ask where it was, didn;t arrive until 20:50. in fairness the food was good, but not worth waiting so long for. It was Monday the 12/02/2018 and the bar/restaurant wasn;t that busy. Wasn;t offered any sort of compensation and would highly recommend avoiding this place unless you have a couple hours to kill

There was a small mix up with out order but got fixed and taken off the bill. Food and service was brilliant, would definitely recommend.

Cuando este restaurante abrió sus puertas por primera experimentamos algunas comidas precioso, pero lo que ha ocurrido desde entonces! Tuvimos una mala experiencia hace un año a 18 meses, pero como había pasado un tiempo, teníamos la esperanza de que esto fue una y ya que tenía el menú y la ubicación perfecta para celebrar una ocasión familiar, decidimos darle una oportunidad de nuevo. ¡Qué error, realmente era terrible. Para una noche tranquila miércoles el servicio y actitud del personal era pésima. Nuestros 2 filetes de 1x tamaño y 1 Bien hecho llegamos después de 55 minutos y que nos persigue personal ninguna disculpa y ambas llegamos rara! ! No disculpas, no hay explicaciones, regresamos de ellos mientras el resto de nuestro grupo continuó con su comida, otros 10 minutos para que llegara. . . . . Rara vez (fotos. Siempre)! Porque era una ocasión especial intentamos mantener cosas aunque tenía sido yo y mi pareja nos habríamos ido. Luego nos preguntó si era posible conseguir crema Brûlée postres para venir razonablemente rápido, me dijeron que sí. . . . 20 minutos pasaron, sin diálogo de personal y de nuevo tuvimos que perseguir nuestros postres caseros. El personal tenía una actitud de estar completamente harto y sin responsabilidad alguna para el servicio.

Visitamos este restaurante para una comida familiar y cenamos en el bar. Había dos niños en el partido y sus comidas estaban bien. Tres de los adultos tenía hamburguesas y dos de los tres estaban completamente mal combinación. Los bollos bollos eran duras y rancio y las hamburguesas eran minúsculos y recocido, que no es lo que esperarías por £11. 00. El pescado y las patatas fritas estaba bien, pero había un montón de pasta y no un montón de peces. Cuando intenté quejarse los bollos de la camarera simplemente me ignoró y se fue.

En cierta medida creo que muchas de las críticas no pintar el cuadro completo. No es perfecto, y a veces el servicio puede ser. . . . . . Cuestionable, especialmente cuando. está ocupado en el bar - Poner mas gente gente! Pero vamos mucho debido al ambiente amable, muy relajante para estar un rato y a pedir como vas, y cuando allí durante el fin de semana tuvimos un gran servicio y las hamburguesas y comida que nuestro grupo ordenados eran muy buenas. Tenía una hamburguesa negro y azul y fue el mejor que he tenido en cualquier lugar por un tiempo. Junto con el hecho de que nuestro anfitrión nos dieron un descuento de 25% que estaba bien feliz! Se continuará utilizando en su totalidad las expectativas que no todo es justo todo el tiempo, pero ¿dónde está? Disfrutamos de la comida y el ambiente de nuevo.

La comida estaba bien, aparte de el arroz que venía con mi stroganoff. Fue una gran trozo que podías slice! Bistec era precioso! El servicio era pobre. El personal educado y amable, pero no parece ser suficiente personal. Sólo dos miembros de. Personal de salida plana y sea arrastrado en todas las direcciones. Esto se tradujo en un servicio lento y se olvidaron de nuestras bebidas, entonces me olvido de mi postre maridos. Aunque no en el menú pedí café irlandés, pero dijeron que no podían hacerlo porque la máquina de café no era buena para hacer ellos? Y no sé qué fue el limoncello cuando pedí una al final de la comida. No como la disposición de los asientos. 3 mesas de pic en juntos y nos sentimos como si estuviéramos compartiendo nuestras conversiones con otros comensales. Muy caro y no merece la pena el dinero que pagamos. Tiene un aspecto precioso dentro y loos estaban impecablemente limpias. Todo el personal era muy agradable. No volvería para una noche especial, y demasiado caro para una semana a mediados de regalo!

Algunas cosas que mencionar: música demasiado ruidoso, hamburguesa de pollo a la parrilla sin cocer en el medio pero se quemó en el exterior, incluyendo la pelea, así que la envió. Patatas fritas no eran lo suficientemente cálida. Sustitución hecha, pero todavía quemado hamburguesa degustación como era el follón. Patatas fritas ligeramente mejor.

La noche de Navidad, así que nunca la comida increíble pero esta era terrible. Sopa fría, cuando los camareros se llevaron casi lleno de bolos de nuevo sin preguntar cómo fue y nos dijo cómo frío fue, una respuesta camareros era "has más por venir! Plato principal tradicional de Turquía" hubiera sido mejor si la tía la Bessie había hecho! En realidad cosa redonda Turquía roll sabía mejor de lo que parecía, pero eran sólidos y tatties asado comestible. Mi cerdo lone en manta ni siquiera tenía una manta! Un montón de salsa, en barcos, obviamente para enmascarar la comida horrible! Postre parecía prometedor, pero sabía como algo de Islandia en la década de los 80. Lo único bueno era el pan! Tuvimos que pedir y enfriadores de vino no hay servicio de mesa para las bebidas. Tres campos por 45 libras! ! ! Si no hubiésemos pagado, entonces probablemente no habría pagado! Una pena, ya que hay muchos restaurantes en Aberdeen y esto es dejando que el inconveniente! En el lado positivo, el entretenimiento era genial, dos bailarines fabulosos que todos bailando tan pronto como el sello 'era de más! No regresaré.

Reservamos este hotel como una que está en oferta, y ojalá no hubiese sido así. No tengo ni idea de cómo puedes conseguir un asador muy equivocado. Aquí está nuestra experiencia. Fuimos y pedimos unas bebidas. Nunca llegó, así que tuve que pedir de nuevo. Venía con una jarra de agua, pero no conseguí vasos y tuvimos que pedir copas! Fuimos para empezar y la mayoría de la pantalla estaba vacía y no había sido repuesto. No hay pan ni mixta, etc. plato de carne Luego nos fuimos para el principal y sirve asados por un chef de mal humor que parecía que quería apuñalar a nosotros. Se puso muy molesto cuando tenía que ir y conseguir más carne porque me eligió. Las verduras estaba seco. Los cerdos en mantas estalló cerca de los dientes. Salsa de queso, salsa insípida como agua, tatties pasada y apenas comestible. Cuando conseguí mi carne lo dejé porque me hacían ruido por diez minutos y pude hacer un hueco en ella. Era como comer un zapato. Allí estaban sirviendo sólo tres mesas y de VI había un montón de quejas. No es de extrañar. Me refiero a venir en personal. Tres mesas y sus bebidas y vasos. olvidar Puedo imaginar lo que es como si ocupado. Luego de ir a casa, nos pareció enfermo. Sospecho que porque la comida había estado mintiendo durante horas en el calor. Sinceramente si eso es en realidad un calificado chef chef, entonces me comeré mi sombrero. ¿Cómo puede conseguir salsa equivocada. Lo siento, pero la peor comida y servicio que he tenido en años. El hotel es agradable pero defraudado por este restaurante. Nunca volveré.

Conseguir una mesa en el Bar & Grill Urbano depende de la hora del día - Venga un domingo sin reserva y junto a ninguna oportunidad. Venga por la tarde durante la semana y suele ser bastante tranquilo. La comida es la misma que la de otros hoteles de la Villa; las hamburguesas son un pilar y delicioso, en ocasiones puedes doble para una tarifa adicional que normalmente significa un extra de patty se inserta en el follón. La comida es buena, el servicio puede ser un poco lento, pero quizás sea más a la formación del personal que la actual. Resumiendo, la comida decente, pero no esperes a ser impresionado.

También en la cafetería cierra a las 19. 00 cuando nos dejó las maletas en la habitación limpia pero mínimo, decidimos ir a el vestíbulo para tomar una taza de café a descubrir que había cerrado 10. 00 minutos antes. Más aviso de apertura requiere también sugieren que las personas de recepción informa de registrarnos. La habitación era funcional, limpio y cómodo. Las horas de apertura de la piscina para los niños son muy pobres casi a un grado de no tener hijos para usar la piscina, los horarios de apertura son de 09. 00 - 12. 00 y 14. 00 - 17. 00 o 19. 00 dependiendo de que día. lo que te hace sentir que si las familias no están bienvenidos. El dispensador de jabón es alto para un hijo de 6 años para permitir el lavado de las manos debido a sido montado en la pared. El desayuno una buena selección. Lo que evitamos la selección caliente debido a que tiene un aspecto un poco secos y deshidratados. Optamos por una tostada y un yogur que se sirve en la plaza de plástico con bayas o ollas de granola. Tuve este último que era agradable hasta que tuve un objeto extraño en la boca, que resultó ser un trozo de vidrio de unos 25 mm x 6 mm. En encontrar este inmediatamente informó al gerente del comedor y le dijeron que no debería ser, lo siento y ella se fue. La pieza de un cristal roto parecía una llanta de un vaso de vino. Estoy un poco molesto con la falta de compromiso y de gestión el deber de cuidar.

Food was good but they messed up the order so my wife was finished her meal before mine arrived. This could have been avoided if the order had been written down. This wouldn't normally have been an issue but we were there for our anniversary. A round of drinks also never arrived and when they finally realised they'd forgotten, we just told them to forget it. The same thing happened to the table next to us with the drinks so it's obviously a regular occurrence. its a shame really because it could be a really good place if they could just sort out the service niggles.

Didn't realise until my daughter told me that the Urban Village did a Sunday carvery, so decided to give it a go as it was my husband's 65th birthday. We were met by friendly staff and could not complain about the food or service. We were very impressed with the price of the 3 course meal, which beats anything in the surrounding district. Could not complain about the starter, main meal or the dessert. Will be returning.

Visited the Urban Bar & Grill this evening for a meal with a colleague. It was a very relaxing evening. The decor is great- very on trend at the moment. The staff are very helpful and there's a chilled atmosphere.We sat at the grill and had the hummus flat bread to start. We shared it.and it was delicious. We requested cheese on it and the chef was very accommodating. We both then had the tuna steak done medium with fries. I had garlic butter and my colleague enjoyed a bernaise sauce. We both agreed that the meal was absolutely delicious and very satisfying. I would highly recommend visiting if you are that side of town.

This review is purely on the carvery that is served on a Sunday. A four course meal if you want it for a fixed price of £19.99 - pricier than others but well worth it. You can select from individual starters, buffet style, prawn cocktail, chicken salad, pate, etc. Then a soup course follows if you want it served to the table. The carvery itself is something else. Good quality meats, beautifully cooked along with all the accompaniments you could want. Desserts were again individual buffet style, trifle, cheesecake, etc. All in all the tastiest carvery ever. However, we will have to limit ourselves to only a few visits per year as we ate far too much!

We ate at the restaurant as part of a spa day package with a group of 8 girls. One of the girls in our group has dietary requirements due to medical condition, and she had contacted the restaurant prior to arriving explaining what she couldn't eat, and by email they had been more than helpful and assured her that they would accommodate her requirements. However, when we got the the restaurant nobody seemed to know about this. In the end my friend was left waiting for what must have been close to an hour whilst the rest of us were served both starters and mains, and eventually got a tiny, shriveled looking baked potato. For the rest of us, the service wasn't great, one of the starters was forgotten and the staff seemed quite rushed. The food was ok, nothing too exciting although the portions were huge! At the end of the meal we would have had to pay for a few extras and upgrades that were not included in the spa package, but although we didn't actually complain, I think that the staff had realized that we weren't impressed with the service and didn't charge us for these.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with work. Restricted as to where to eat so ended up in the bar both nights. chicken wings - £7 for 10 - smallest wings ever. Chips cold and unappetising. Burger tasteless. Tried to charge £3.40 for fresh orange and tap water. When I queried it they refunded all the money but makes you wonder how many people would have not said! Seems disorganised.

My wife and I live locally and have used this restaurant a few times, mostly for lunch. It's never been great but it's convenient. And a lunch sandwich is hardly difficult However, it struck a new low on this visit. A couple of weeks ago we went for a quick evening meal after my wife worked late and now I wished I'd ordered a take away. I ordered the rack of ribs which, when they finally arrived, were just one big lump of fat and gristle. Instead of falling away from the bone like a slow cooked rib should, I had to fight to get anything at all off it. I gave up. The very helpful waitress asked me if I'd like anything else so I foolishly thought no chef could ruin a burger. How wrong I was. It looked ok but I took one bite and it was like eating coal. Same taste, same texture. When I investigated the patty was cremated. Now any chef worth his salt must know it was overcooked. That's not the problem, it's the audacity of sending it out like that that got me. To be fair, they did remove all the food from the bill, but that's not really the point. I ended up having the triple cheese toasted sandwich at the onsite Starbucks. We have booked here for a Hogmanay dinner, I'm not holding out much hope unless they've replaced their chef, which I doubt as they obviously don't read their reviews.

Can't fault the staff at this restaurant but the food is poor and overpriced. Dishes are cold on arrival, had a veggie burger and a fillet steak stroganoff. Stroganoff was Luke warm on arrival and not much of it. Had hot chocolate sundae to finish couldn't find the ice cream as it was covered in thick cream which was not mentioned on the menu, needless to save I have spent the night in the toilet with severe stomach cramps. Will not be returning again or recommending it, such a shame as its a lovely place and has a good atmosphere handy to for us to as its nearby.

We were staying in the hotel and thought we would eat in and have a couple of drinks. The food was very poor, the mussels had only half of them that were open and the roast chicken and thyme dish was cold, dry as a stick and had some kind of chilli kick that was not pleasant at all. One burger was passable and the hummus starter was ok. On trying to complain to the staff they were more interested in the large group that had just arrived and there needs. The only thing that saved the day was the excellent reception staff the following morning who when asking about our stay were horrified to hear about the poor food and immediately took it off the bill without question. The reception staff were excellent.

Went here for a meal last night and it was horrible, over priced, poor service a massive disappointment,they need to get their act together, waited 30 mins for our drinks asked waiters twice were the drinks were, ok so football was on however the bar had a handful of people in it so can't be used as an excuse you shouldn't been receiving your meal before the drinks arrive,Furthermore the food was appalling, £28 for sirloin steak medium rare you expect it to be 1st cooked to your request not here it came medium in one part medium rare in others this was something I'd never experienced before, this came with a handful of fries and half a tomato for £28 well over priced,Friend ordered salmon with two sides and when it came it was the smallest piece of salmon ever seen and served with flavourless mash pots and over cooked watery broccoli and £22 for the privilege, Burger was over cooked and dry and extortionate at £15 Three desserts one quite nice the other two desserts were well below par and over priced Service was a joke too so all in all won't be going back and only go here if your prepared to pay over the odds for substandard ingredients executed poorly

I have eaten here several times when staying at the Urban Village Hotel and quite frankly the food has been quite poor and the service leaving a lot to be desired. They have just upgraded the menu and the food is much better. The service was also greatly improved from my last visit and Kirsty did a great job. I did have breakfast also and this was OK but not great, a common problem with buffet breakfasts. The food is quite pricey for what you get but the quality is much better than previous.

We had a meeting and about 10 of us pre ordered our meals to facilitate a quick dinner and end a busy day. Unfortunately had to wait for about 45 minutes between starters and main course. One of the group had ordered Cod for the main course, which was visibly undercooked, and had to be sent back.It seemed that the whole place was not coping, and the food quality was average at best.In spite of pointing out to the staff and manager that there was significant delay in serving the food, they put a service charge in the final bill, which we refused to pay.Overall poor experience with tardy service for overpriced, very average food.

I met with a friend for lunch recently. Was impressed with the overall decor of the hotel which houses the restaurant but as I am not local, I did get a bit lost as it is in the middle of a number of large office complexes. Although service was friendly and professional it was a bit slow but I was very happy with my burger with blue cheese and fries which was really tasty. I finished off my visit with a tour around the Gym which is really impressive. Special mention for Lee who was very welcoming and seemed to be very knowledgable. Thanks for taking the time to show me around.

The decor is lovely which led us into a false sense of security!! Firstly we didn't get offered drink when we sat down, and overall service was slow. We were not advised that the lobster that day were about the size of king prawns and therefor did not find it satisfying as a main course, the steak was chewy and I had to send back desert which was cold in the middle.In a nutshell I will not be returning

Popped in for Sunday lunch, always made feel very welcome. Service was prompt and friendly, had the burger and it was lovely(as usual ) the Mrs had the chicken burger which looked lovely and was. The wee man had his chicken goujons chips and peas which he scoffed the lot. He got ice cream for pudding with all sorts of sprinkles which he loved l. Again could not fault anything. Will be back soon. Probably next Friday for a burger. Yum

Whilst staying at this hotel we had the three course dinner included in the price. Limited choice menu arrived. Four starters, four mains and possibly six sweets. My wife and I both ordered the Pate followed by a Burger. It was 19.30 on a Friday night and every table in the restaurant was occupied. In for a long wait I suggested to my wife.To our surprise with in ten minutes our starter arrived and the Pate tasted really fine. Home made, fresh, not filled with garlic, plenty toast. Looking forward to the burger. They arrived and looked scrumptious. Good 5-7 ounces of beef with salad and cheese. Beautiful. We also had chips for our sins and they were cooked to perfection, crispy but not oily at all.We separated on sweets. Sticky Toffee pud and Apple Cobbler, both top drawer. The service was timeous, little pause in-between courses, served by friendly lady server who chatted as she did her duties.All in all compliments to the chef brigade and the waitress for an enjoyable meal with a nice bottle of wine at only £ 17.50 . Great time had by all.

Booked a table for 8.30 for 4 people. Arrived ordering a bottle of wine and other drinks. Starters came out, were okay, but not worth the money. 4 main courses were ordered one fillet steak and 3 sirloin and lobster. All came out cooked wrong and cold. Refused food, and spoke to the manger, who ensured us that the food would be sorted, agreeing that the meats were not cooked how they should be. After waiting for the food for 20 minutes taking us to 10pm, waitresses came over and told us the food was ready, however food was still not cooked to how we ordered. We spoke to manager who was arrogant and rude and asked "what can i help with you" when he already knew the situation. He tried to argue that the food was cooked right but the waitress was wrong... when we queried what he said he then told us that the kitchen was now closed. The manager was then ruder and very threatening! Went and complained to hotel duty manager as we complained the manager stormed up aggressively and gave his name as "Brian!." The Manager " Brian" was unable to take criticism!!

Visited today for the 1st time with a friend. We both had the steak club sandwich and both put in back...worst steak ever! The manager was very apologetic and offered us another choice for free but we'd kinda been put off by then. We left with a £15 off voucher each but the damage has already been done so not sure we'll return I'm afraid

Decided to sample the burger for a pound in the bar and grill. On arrival it was very busy. This deal is on between 5.30 -7.30 on Fridays Difficult finding a clean table. Eventually sat at a high stool/table which wasn't the comfiest but only option. We ordered at the bar which was absolutely covered with empty glasses. Not what you expect at this standard of hotel. It became apparent that the dishwasher was full and waiting to be emptied!! The food took 1/2 an hour to come and during that wait the waiters offered us someone else's order (inefficient). The burgers were ok and obviously pretty good value for money, they do know how to charge for drinks for example a diet coke being £3! Won't be in any hurry to go back but it was busy so obviously popular

Held a client meeting here over lunch, not too busy and not too quiet to have a semi-confidential meeting without your vooice travelling across the room. Plenty of choice in tables/locations and lots of little corners to sit in away from others. Interesting open ceilings which have standard exposed services that are more suited to being hidden in ceiling voids.Quick service and the food was excellent, even to the extent of shaping the pizza to suit a relatively small table for four. Had to ask for the bill after coffee then go to the till to pay when nobody came back. Other than that a very nice place and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Maybe a bit too far off the public transport track to go at the weekend if you don't stay in Kingswells, unless you are driving.Great place for lunch if you work in Prime Four though, as good as anything in the city.

The restaurant had good food, there was nothing that I could find to complain about, although the service could be improved, which I have found is the one thing many restaurants have in common. I personally had a burger, which was excellent. The chicken burgers are very moist and juicy. I found fault in the service because the waitress never came back to the table to check if anybody needed any refills. Other than that small fault, everything was great. The staff are also very tolerant of children, and are very friendly towards them. (For those of you with the little troublemakers!)
