As always it is what it is, cheap well presented good food and drink. Can't fault it.

Nice pub with a pleasant atmosphere.

Absolutely the worst Small Scottish Breakfast ever, all cremated and overcook or been under a heatlamp for ages before being served. Egg was edible but crispy around the edges, sausage was tasteless, bacon was a creamated piece of hard fat grissle, potato scone overcooked and hard round the edges too. Best avoided for food, total rubbish and I would not have fed this to my dog tbh

A typical Whetherspoon food and drink, standard quality. However the environment is exceptionally good.

Steak Tuesday, but no steaks. Had a pizza instead, very nice.

Typical Wetherspoons, beautiful building, will be back the next time I'm in the area.

We have had breakfast here a lot, and i would say that it is ok for the money you pay.

I have never ever experienced such rude staff in my life. For one who uses weatherspoons regularly, i’ll never step into another weatherspoons again!!!

Aberdeen heeft meerdere vestigingen van JD Wetherspoon. Ik bezocht die in een voormalig bankgebouw, gecreëerd door Archibald Simpson naar wie het restaurant vernoemd is. Ik heb alleen een ingang met traptreden en weet niet of er een rolstoelvriendelijke is maar binnen is alles gelijkvloers. Zoals altijd bij Wetherspoon heb ik lekker gegeten en gedronken voor een leuke prijs.

Nice cheap drinks and food well worth the money. The architecture is very beautiful to look at. Good place for a small night out.

Just a Standard Witherspoons, Good Food, Good Choice of Drinks.

Don't go here if you are a dog owner. We we sitting out on the tables on the pavement and were treated like a menace to society because we had a dog with us. There were no other customers outside but the officious duty manager took great pleasure in refusing us further service and asking us to leave the premises purely because of our dog being next to us on the pavement. Another duty manager then came to talk to us and apologised for the rules that Wetherspoons have regarding dogs and then said that one of their regular customers brings his dog and ties it to the railings opposite the seating area so he can have a pint without breaking the rules. This apparently is ok but having a paw inside the seating area gets you asked to leave. Thanks Wetherspoons for your very poor customer service on this occasion.

Busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Food typical cheap eats but for the price it's good

Went to the place as an asian and was completely ignored by the staffs, while other customers were still being served as usual. One of the serving staff (guy) was intentionally looking at our table and my friend caught his eye contact where he just chose to ignore us completely. The rest of the staffs just pretended to be busy and avoided walking to the table to take orders when the place was not even that full. Terrible staff service - at the very least. Would recommend going to a different place in Aberdeen for eating as Archibald is not the only place around

Had arranged to meet friends in here and have something to eat, unfortunately they had ran out of Fish, Nice friendly atmosphere, Bar staff pleasant

Escaping the deluge we ran into The Archibald for a swift lemonade. Typical Wetherspoons pub, everything it's place and a ten mile hike to the toilets. Take an energy bar, you'll need it just to have a wazz.

Im a young single female who was dining alone. After ordering a meal with hot chocolate I discovered the hot drink machine was broken as I heard a young boy telling his Dad he couldn’t get it to work, I informed a male bartender that myself and young lad were unable to get our drinks - he rudely told me it was none of his business and to speak to the manager then walked away. I was quite upset by this but did as he said. And the manager proceeded to tell me that even though the machine was broken and only filling half way up, that this was fine and I was being a pest. So I sat down to finish my meal with tears in my eyes, then a 3rd member of staff came up to my table while I had a mouth full of food to verbally abuse me. I had to ask him to leave and to please let me finish my food which I had already paid for. The said members of staff continued to stare at me until I left which made me feel intimidated beyond words. To be treated like this by 3 separate members of staff is abhorrent and they should be ashamed of themselves, I can’t help but think if I were a 6ft 200 pound man i might of been treated with an ounce of decency.

Food was not hot - order the 3 for ? Dishes then after receiving 2 dishes the 3rd 1 wld b a few minutes - bout 10 mins later they arrived think having been just cooked they wld b piping hot well no they were just warm - chicken breast burger was. Luke warm and not taste to it at all

Convenient city centre Spoons, very busy when I visited but otherwise mostly a standard Spoons.

Breakfast today was shocking. Cold, uncooked items and coffee machine broken. Staff were nowhere to be seen and tables were unclean and plates everywhere. What’s going on? So much for the kitchen refurb. Come on, you can do better than this.

I've not been into a Spoons for years! This building is lovely, with huge ceilings with chandeliers glistening from the ornate gold ceiling! And it used to be a bank. Breakfast was really good, hot, fresh, and served with a smile and under £5! Great price for a full English. Drinks were really reasonable compared to other pubs!!

A great full English breakfast with free tea/coffee, served in a very timely manner. Hot, fresh with a lovely, soft, fried egg! The best bit was the price, under £5

Ordered a Fiesta burger and they did not include the key ingredients that make it worthwhile, the guacamole, aubergine, and salsa. Just tell me if you don't have the ingredients.

A grand building with high ceilings, historic character and plenty of natural light. The breakfast is good for a Wetherspoons restaurant.

The pizza was not done, the burgers small, over done, the bread dry, red onions a joke. And the chips soggy. And for this we waited for 45 minutes!!! Burger King and McDonald's are far better. This is no value for money.

Food gets worse every time I go in. Less selection, worse quality and less quantity. Not going to eat here again, simply not worth it.

Went here with my husband for lunch and was in disbelief at how bad the scampi was. It looked undercooked, very pale and falling out of the whitish breadcrumbs. When we told the waitress this it turned out it was cooked in the oven and we weren't informed of this when we ordered. We were frustrated as we were looking forward to eating here for the first time because we have had scampi many times in the other Wetherspoons in Aberdeen and there has never been a problem.

Nipped in for some lunch when out shopping with bf normally our fav place to eat but they have now cut down most of the menu like they only do a chicken burger or pizza a few pasta dishes of a curry they cut they rest off the menu and don’t even service chips with meals anymore just baked potatoe need to find new place for cheap lunch

Dirty tables good food Compared to other weatherspoons the food was on a par so 5 stars for cheap food deals, glad I had the nappy bag with us though the table needed a good wipe down

Quick delivery when order online. Very interesting view of manager on food choice, lots of staff out of stock, but can choose something and it is high quality, very fresh rocket leaves with the eggs benedict and previous evenening baked potato with tuna very fresh salad, and by the way glad to see this option in the menu, as venues like Edinburgh and Manchester do not give this option any more and that took me to get meal in the other places. Thank you Archibald in Aberdeen, you impressed me today!!!

Very busy,having visited the other Wether spoons on Aberdeen ,we thought we'd give this one ago. My wife's fish was overcooked,the chips were so so. I had the 5 bean chilli. It was fine however the rice was hard . Saving grace the desserts were fabulous. Overall though disappointed.

Very good, staff were all excellent. Cannot fault the place. Edit to say I'm back again, excellent staff and hospitality again. Keep it up whoever the gaffer is. You've got great staff here.

I liked this branch of Wetherspoons, it's in another renovated building, I really liked the way it's done. I wish I'd had time to stay longer. The space, there's one big room, with another longer room running along side it. There is a third room running off at right angles. They're all full of tables and most were occupied on a Thursday lunchtime. Service was quick, (breaded scampi snack) and a couple of lattes finished off what was too short a visit. A note about parking, this is a city centre 'spoons, so there's not much parking available. Not that I saw. Just a small amount of on street parking.

Service has gotten better but still more improvement needs to happen.

The disgusted facial expression of the waitress this afternoon, who cleared my plate with the left over fat from the steak on it, pretty much sums it up. And not even a word from her. Says it all really…

Myself and the wife dropped in by archies on Monday for a quick lunch couldnt believe we got two meals and two pints of juice for £22 unbelievable value, food was great and always a decent vibe in the place. See you again soon

City centre large spaced building. Loads of bar style seating but some tables. As expected with Wetherspoons, well priced, extensive selection of drinks and food. No tv or music. Busy but several friendly bar staff so no wait. Not upmarket but cannot be faulted.

Been here a few times when working in the area. You know what you are getting from a spoons. This particular one the building is amazing, it has so much character. The staff are a credit, polite and extremely helpful. The food for the price is value for money and definitely filled a hole. The real ale is kept well. There gets plenty of people in across all age groups. Well work a visit

Breakfast for 4 thus morning. Delicious. I recommend the haggis roll. Hot drinks machine a bit dodgy and it was fixed immediately by a friendly and courteous staff member. Well done. Also beautiful surroundings.

Only bought a coffee. Was very busy but it was Saturday afternoon I guess.

The only inflation-friendly place in Aberdeen where you can have affordable meals from 8am.

The steak was good. But a little bit confused with the readiness. We ordered medium and it looked like rare.

Staff are excellent. Would recommend for drink and food (for value at least), very happy to revive cut up strawberries in my cocktail which isn’t usually in there.

One of two Wetherspoons chains in the heart of Aberdeen, this one in particular is really good. Been in here a few times, extensive menu. And it's fantastic to sit in here.

My wife and I had the misfortune to visit this Wetherspoons with our grand daughters aged 15 and 3. We were told quite abruptly that because we had a minor with us they would only serve us 2 alcoholic drinks each. What an absolute joke. We are adults and as such do not expect to be treated like children. We will not be back.

NEVER ORDER THE MIXED GRILL !!!! Instead of a pork chop they gave me a piece of fat. I complained and they refused to exchange it. They said the mixed grills come into the kitchen as a whole pack so the won't open a second one. Blatantly breaking the SALE OF GOODS ACT!!!
