Went for some food today after not being to the lynnhust in quite sometime. Checked out the menu online seemed good. When we arrived the menu had changed and was very disappointing as I didn't really like much on the menu and had I of known I would have went somewhere with better options. On a possitve not the waiter today Cameron was amazing and is a credit to the company.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at the restaurant of this hotel. Upon arriving, we were met with a shockingly rude and unwelcoming attitude from the lady behind the bar. Despite the hotel advertising takeaway options online, she dismissively told us to go elsewhere if we wanted takeaway food. Her tone was condescending and unnecessarily hostile, even though the restaurant was completely empty. Thankfully, there was a lovely younger English waitress who went out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs, offering to prepare a chicken salad that met our allergy requirements for takeaway. However, just as we thought the situation was being resolved, the rude lady came along stating that they could not accommodate us and insisted we go across the road. It felt as though she was deliberately making the process difficult and seemed more interested in turning us away than providing good service. The way she spoke to us was completely unprofessional & condescending. The experience left a sour taste, not because of the food, but because of the complete lack of professionalism and respect. We expected much more from a hotel restaurant, and sadly, this encounter really let the place down. I would not recommend anybody to eat here and it completely spoilt our last night on our family holiday.

Came here for my husband's birthday Came here for my husband's birthday dinner. First impressions were good. Chef in his whites in kitchen. So far so good. I have had surgery and because of this asked for a half portion of lasagna. I was told no but you can eat from kids menu which was fish fingers chicken nuggets pizza or macaroni cheese and chips. I decided against this as as an adult not my choice of food. My husband got breaded fish chips and peas. What a disappointment!! Frozen fish chips and peas. Absolutely nothing fresh which was probably why I couldn't have a half portion of lasagna as obviously pre cooked and frozen. Dinner was absolutely mediocre and we won't be back. Loudoun Hill you need to get with the times and provide for a much wider customer base. Ditch the freezer food and cook fresh . Frozen fish chips and peas definitely did not hit the spotdinner. Living locally, I decided to visit this restaurant having been badly let down by another restaurant in the area (further down the hill at the coast of the Clyde). Wow what a difference, quality food in a relaxing atmosphere with top notch unobtrusive service. Keep up the good work.

We visited the pub for food and drinks. We stopped in on our canoeing trip. A group of six adults, four children. We were cold, wet and tired. Tommy and Janine gave us the warmest welcome and were so accommodating of our many questions and requests. The fish and chips cooked up by the chef were crispy and excellent. Highly recommend!

We visited Saturday 9/10/21 , restaurant was quiet when we arrived but very quickly most of the tables were taken. Person who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly as were all the staff on duty. Food was very tasty, would recommend the pate and seafood mornay. I would go so far as to say that this was the most enjoyable meal out all round that I’ve had for quite some time. Reasonably priced too; bill for 4 people - 11 courses and 5 soft drinks was £113. Thank you!

Nice quality food - pricier side of cafe fodder but not unexpected from the venue as a whole. Minor issue with not knowing what a Panini is when serving crusty baguette roll - the overall quality/taste was very good. Decent Coleslaw rather than the budget catering watery affair usually found. Pre-packed sandwiches with no option to create your own, Captive audience but plenty of room in the park for your own picnics. £46 for 4.

After a very disappointing visit to the Ship we walked along to here. We only had enough time for one drink before we had to go for our train. The difference between the Ship and here was night and day. Staff friendly and helpful and actually behind the bar. Unlike the Ship. Tables cleared immediately unlike the Ship. Customers were welcoming and full of information about the best places to go in town. Plus cheaper than the aforementioned. Highly recommended.
