Sadly after a lovely visit to the island, this was the worst food and service we experienced. Chips were soggy and greasy, bacon rolls still being advertised but we were told they had "run out", coffee was okay, there was a very young girl serving who looked about 12. We asked for the menu to take back to our table to look at and were told "bring it back, we've only got one" - a tatty bit of paper, not even laminated for cleanliness! The lady behind the bar where you place the order was in a bad mood and surly. We would not return

What a handy little cafe right by the port. Not many other options nearby but it ticks all the boxes. Lorne sausage and bacon rolls were good, although a sign did note they would be made to order but instead they were sat in the hot food cabinet - not an issue really but worth noting.

This is a great cafe / bar. I popped in here just prior to getting an early ferry from Craignure. The coffee was really tasty and so was the cinnamon bun I bought to accompany it. The chap working in the cafe was really friendly and efficient. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating. It does sell alcohol and gifts as well as an array of different food. It is definitely worth calling in here, and particularly great and handy if you’re about to board the ferry.

Can't say much as only stopped here breifly for a hot chocolate while escaping the rain and waiting for transport connections. The hot chocolate was nice - proper barista hot chocolate. On my return journey back to Craignure in the middle of the week, I was surprised to find none of the cafe's open. It was a day when ferries were cancelled but plenty of stranded foot passengers, but I guess fewer people about than usual.

Blazeys is ideally located opposite the Mull Ferry Terminal, making it a great place to pop in while waiting for your boat. Part bar, part cafe, with some lovely photos and memorabilia to pick up for last minutes gifts and keepsakes. We enjoyed a hot drink and sausage roll, and managed to find a lovely booth that overlooked the harbour. Nothing spectacular, but nice food, friendly service, and perfectly located to help make your wait for the ferry a bit more enjoyable.

We opted for the chicken, bacon and Leek pie, beef and ale pie and I had the chicken salad. All washed down with delicious coffee and my dad had a pint of Caledonian ale. Ordered a breakfast roll. Rubbish cheap bread, and a square sausage that doesn't fill it. Totally rip off for £3. That didn't fill me up, so ordered a sausage roll for the road that weighed about the same as a paper clip... that'll be because it's about 1% meat and the rest pastry. Not the cheeriest of staff either, and a sign telling people they'll charge 20p to change to a paper cup and toilets are "strictly for customers!" is just plain anal AF. Reading some of the responses from the owner towards people who wrote negatively about the place too makes me think he has some issues with criticism. In total contrast to the friendliness you'll experience on this beautiful island, and the only reason this place can do well is its location. My recommendation to travellers: if you have a stove then go next door to the shop and order some decent rolls, chirizo sausages and onions, and fry them up at the picnic tables by the water. Much cheaper, better, and you can thank me later :)

We came here based on TA reviews. We walked in - the only two customers - to see two members of staff sitting at a table eating and one behind the bar. We looked hopefully at all and they all just stared back. There is no sign to say table or self service so we had a look at the pies and decided to have the chickpea and spinach. We ordered at the bar - no chat or niceties - and carried our food and tea across to a table with very worn seating. The pie was very good but the staff all wandered outside at that point to smoke and we were left alone. This is an odd place with no concept of customer service whatsoever. Good pies aren’t a good enough reason to go back or to give it a higher rating.

We visited twice during our time on Mull. The first was for a quick simple evening snack. Blazers is a bar come coffee shop with what seems like a very simple and effective business model - what you see is what there is. A selection of hot pies, pasties, sausage rolls and bacon rolls for the savouries. Pastries and cakes in a chiller and a few other bits and bobs like crisps, chocolate bars and souvenirs. The pies were really tasty and we sat enjoying them with a cold drink and cake over looking the pier. We also stopped in for teas while waiting for the ferry. I think the poor chap at the bar must have been totally run off his feet that morning as it was very busy. We wished we’d gone in earlier but I think we might have ended up eating pies every day if we had! We sat out side on nice new benches in a small patio area that is kept clean. The seating inside was also very clean, tidy and comfortable looking.

Great sandwich. And really nice people. Nothing like the absolute idiots next door at Spar who were going to charge me for a cheap plastic sooo to use to eat the yogurt I bought

We stopped for a cup of tea here while waiting for the ferry. A cup of Tea £1.50. A Mug of Tea £1.80. Surely the water must be amongst the most expensive in the world. Its not as though there is a water shortage up there

Very poor little cafe with cheap decor and expensive coffee and muffins.Waiting for ferry across the road this little roadside cafe has a captive audience but we would not pop in if we could avoid it.

Great place to relax once you are parked up and waiting to embark the ferry to Oban. The italian coffee is really good and the service very pleasant. Toilets are also nice and clean. Highly recommended - also free wifi!

We wanted something to eat as we had just arrived on the island by ferry after a long journey and our cottage was not yet available, unfortunately there was not a lot to eat only a muffin. However that muffin was excellent

Stopped by the roadhouse for a pint while waiting for the ferry, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Ordered the vegetable pakora which was decent enough, could have had more flavor though. Free wifi was great, as had been without internet for several days.

Staff here were friendly unlike Arlene's close by. It is a no frills sort of place but the tea and bacon roll whilst waiting for the ferry set us up nicely. Good place to go if waiting for the ferry as it is across the road from the ferry car park.

Dined here, as staying in hotel and did not fancy walking into Campbeltown to find a restaurant so it was easier to stay put. Booked for 7.30 but they called us to put us back to 8.30 as they had a party booked in. They then call our room at around 7.20 to ask can we come now but no as we weren't ready. Agreed we'd come asap around 7.45. Party of 10 had grown to 14 and were very very noisy. Couldn't here ourselves speak. My starter of scallops, expensive but tasted fine. My halibut was tasty and enjoyed the meal. One of my sisters thought the langoustines were overcooked and again expensive. Steaks and lasagne were eaten with my sisters saying yes all good. Service all good and then breakfast in the morning. Menu very good, service a bit haphazard but friendly waitress and all enjoyed that meal too.

Lovely warm welcome followed by excellent service. I had the beef burger for dinner and can honestly say that it was the best burger I have ever eaten and I have had burgers all over the world. The beer’s were great and finished off the night with a few whiskeys from their very comprehensive list. Brilliant place. I will be back.

Met up with a friend for lunch today. ALWAYS reliably happy with our meals at The Esplanade over the many years.... But today's young chef was very astute with his skills. We had *Cullen skink, the baguette was fresh and warmed....so often it is not; (it's the little things like this that make you come back,), *fish n chips, and *incredibly chunky steak pie, with a lid rising up to the ceiling I'm my opinion all 3 meals really were the best examples on the island. Well done to: *The Esplanade for keeping up the standards of quality which bring people back * The Chef * The always friendly and helpful waitress 😁 (Love the new curtains and furnishings 😁)

I am giving you an excellent review based on previous visits but arrived Thursday 14th November at 11:15 and it was closed. Website says open at 10:00 and opening time on door says 10:30. Several people left disappointed during my 20min seat on bench. Off to Port Bannatyne for my brunch. Can you update your opening hours on door and social media platforms.

My family came in yesterday after spending a great night at the Lodge for my uncles 80th birthday. They were out for a walk in the morning and popped into the coffee shop on my recommendation. They all told me how rude the lady was that served them. She banged the chair down next to them with a face like thunder. She was very aggressive. My father was so annoyed he told me he was ready to just walk out. Very disappointing after I told them to come in. Maybe she was having a bad morning, Im not sure what was going on with her but its not a nice way to treat customers. Oh and my dads coffee was cold too. Not so good. It makes me sad because Ive been in a lot and always been happy with the service and the food.
