Turned up at 22:02 only to be refused my room as I couldn’t check in after 2200, even though I had highlighted that my check in will be between 22-2300. Was spoken to on the phone by someone, who refused to give me their name, only to be repeatedly told I was too late, after driving nearly 3hrs, to check in. Absolutely disgusting service!!

Service was very bad and very slow.

Had a family lunch / drinks here . Pizza was amazing . It was a beautiful day so we sat by the water in the beer garden .

Ordered vegan food and found what seemed like animal part in it. They insisted it was part of a mushroom which it clearly wasn’t. This made my wife feel sick and therefore couldn’t accept the offer of another meal. Offers of drinks etc weren’t acceptable as this had ruined our evening. I had to argue for any reduction in the bill and was threatened with the police if I didn’t pay. Appalling customer service.

This is a hotel restaurant in a great spot with amazing potential. The food was in general well presented however the food was over cooked. My starter of pigeon was way over cooked. They offered to bring a fresh one but it was exactly the same. Likewise the lamb main course was also overcooked

Craxy chicken burger - nothing like the images and part of the chicken was cold. Sticky toffee sponge Puddings tasted like carrot cake Never saw any staff smile very poker faced , could be a great place if staff morale was improved maybe 🤷‍♀️sorry for poor review

The place has been completely revamped and the food at Bombay Club is up there with the best. Highly recommend.

Lovely Sunday dinner, they catered to a fussier member of the party and provided an alternative option of sausages as they don’t like roast meat. Lovely staff too & wait wasn’t long at all

Excellent prices!! and good choice of family food. Mushroom soup delicious. Haddock lovely all way through. Efficient service and lovely surroundings. Will be back again when back down. Thank you.

The hotel is oka-ish to stay in

Sorry folks but the meal we had last night was really poor. My dad lives locally and we were visiting so I rang up a few days before and booked a table for dinner. On arrival, the restaurant was closed and we were directed to a table in the far corner of the bar. Soon after we arrived a band started setting up just in front of us. Our main courses were not very nice. I had the mushroom risotto. There was far too much of it rice wise, not many mushrooms and it didn't taste of anything. I then had the panacotta. Not like any panacotta I have ever had. When I phoned to book, they should have told me that thr restaurant wasn't open and offered me the bar...and told me there was a and playing. The band were pretty goof but it was impossible for us to speak while having dinner as it was so loud. All in all, not a great experience. Wouldn't go back. Sorry.
