Seven of us called in having heard the venue is worth a look. We found the light lunch was of surprisingly good quality and value. Tasty fresh food served by friendly, pleasant staff. We all commented favourably and are now planning a return visit in December - maybe try the Christmas lunch menu.

Booked this for a large group of people Manager was very Ruid refused entry because someone was happily signing so if you want to go here sit down shut up spoke to like ***** this is the place to go

We ate here twice and the food was good and reasonably priced. Desserts are the highlight - particularly the brownie served warm with ice cream

This place is trying really hard and you can tell the staff are eager to serve. We had a wide variety of food from burgers to curry and it was all good. Five of us ate were and overall it was great value for money too, our grandson wants to return soon for the extra strawberries on his ice cream.

Lively bar and friendly staff but the food was seriously underwhelming. The Inchture has always been a nice wee country venue to visit. The bar is smart and the service was good. The menu is not very modern and is uninspiring. I'm afraid the Brushetta was greasy, the salmon was tasteless and the scampi also. Nothing specific to send back...just cheap ingredients presented poorly. Wont be rushing back but that's a pity. Up your game Inchture!

The restaurant did a really good job of feeding us and keeping us all safe, by well-spaced seating in the conservatory.

Phoned to book and check rules. Eating in conservatory. Regularly eat there. Well organised and felt safe. Staff pleasant. Food excellent, recommend smoked haddock and leek ramekin, steak pie.Good having small portions on menu.

Having returned to our fav local restaurant after lockdown it didn't disappoint. Service is very speedy using the round app. We were served and eaten within 30 mins for 2 mains. Social distancing measures are in place and the staff are very efficient. Food was beautifully cooked and we look forward to our next visit.

Warm welcome back to The Inchture Hotel. Arrived for dinner and warmly welcomed by Rachel, Mel & Nicky. Fully COVID 19 compliant. Hand sanitizer at the door. Single use salt & pepper. The team have been fully briefed by Jack & Stef and it runs like clockwork. Choice of sitting outside or inside. Fab new app to order food & drinks and works brilliantly. Quick efficient easy ordering. Staff are solely looking after their own areas and no crossing from bar to restaurant. To be honest, we’ve always found The Inchture Hotel to be immaculate. The staff have always been polite, friendly & efficient. We will most definitely be back.

Have eaten here many times before and not had any issues the last three times we have been the food has been below standard and two family members were ill. In the last 6 months this place has really gone downhill, not sure if there has been a change of Chefs but they may want to think about doing whatever they did before as its well below par.

We visited for an early evening meal. A brochure on the table offered 6 local craft beers but when we tried to order they only had one out of six which was not the one we ordered. We ordered a beer and a wine after a long wait the wAitress brought it over spilling part of the pint on the carpet and part of the wine on the table. No offer to top up either We ordered a chilli bowl and a steak pie and chips. The steak in the steak pie was so tough I could not eat it. I took it home for the dog who has stronger teeth than me. This place has definitely gone down hill and we won’t be back any time soon

Meal for four, food okay, no complaints, But then attended an event in a meeting room on first floor - NO LIFT - access very difficult for one member of group. Surely a quality hotel should have a lift? Also dangerous stairs at front door, my wife nearly fell due to uneven surface as we left.

Slow and unfriendly service. Ordered a double decker sandwich and received a normal sandwich on the wrong bread. Bread was stale. We waited 20 minutes for our cups of tea after our lunch. Disappointed as was for a special family lunch. Don't recommend.

Excellent food served in a cosy bar area or in a very nice conservatory with very helpful cheery staff. My only comment would be that it is extremely family orientated, which is nice however kids do run riot and seem to left unattended, but still definitely worth a visit.

The wife and I have eaten here on many occasions and have had excellent food and service every time. Service is friendly and prompt even when busy.

Visited to celebrate my birthday. We had fish and chips plus steak pie and both were tasty and piping hot. Staff were also welcoming and friendly. Good choice available and nice drink selection. Parking also available and bar had a nice ambience.

Went for high tea and was disappointed this time. my wife had the steak pie and the crust disintegrated when the fork went through it the meat was ok but didn't have much taste to it, i had fish and the breadcrumbs were burnt , We have been here on several occasions and have had a good meal etc the cakes were poor too, and the scones were warmed up but very dry as if they had been sitting for a while . Service was fantastic, just food let them down on this occasion.

My fish and chips were fine. However my wife chose salmon and the roast potatoes were rock hard - well over cooked and she could not even get a knife through them let along bite them. It was busy but service was still rather slow. We had to forgo a dessert as we were running out of time to get to a meeting

I would advise booking direct with the hotel not on the website as it takes you through an agent to book and then the hotel are not Interested to assist with anything if you have booked through another channel - maybe the same with all hotels I haven’t had this before ?

We were delighted by the quality of the meals. Staff were friendly and adequately attentive. Baked cod was excellently cooked and very flavoursome. Portion size just right. Surroundings very nice and well cared for. Will visit again.

Qué lugar tan fantástico. Nos habíamos arreglado para que nos recogieran en el autobús de cortesía del hotel, desde nuestra casa alquilada a unos kilómetros de distancia, y la noche se puso cada vez mejor. Estaban muy ocupados (otros 2 grupos de cumpleaños más una boda), pero el servicio fue rápido, realmente amable y eficiente, y todos disfrutaron mucho de lo que habían pedido. Los precios son muy buenos, e incluso los vinos estaban bien de precio. Gracias al propietario por conducir el autobús a casa y por aguantar la ruidosa charla / risa de 7 mujeres.

Cada vez que venimos a Dundee nos dirigimos a visitar Inchture for High Tea. Estoy intrigado por la idea de tostadas y mermelada antes de su plato principal, e incluso el mini té se está llenando. Scones y pasteles después y siempre salgo sintiendo que he tenido una buena comida. El personal es muy eficiente y servicial.

High tea was of a good standard .haddock and chips well presented and tasted well above average.steak pie meal was somewhat cool pastry was separate and very pale otherwise service was good and will return.

Popped in for lunch with friends, good selection on the menu and clean inviting surroundings. Friendly service and tasty food at a good price. We only popped in as we were passing but we found a gem and will definitely be back! :-)

Was attending a family wedding which was being held in the hotel. We had a lovely meal on the Friday night the steak with chimichurri sauce was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

We have been visiting this establishment for a few years now and loved it so much we actually got married here last year, the good is fabulous and the staff can't do enough for you.

Myself and 10 other ladies had lunch there today in the conservatory. It was super food done to a tee and service great. Will be back

We used to travel to Dundee regularly.Inchture was handy for a meal on our way back and the food was excellent in the bar. We had not visited for over 2 years. Good to see a banner of Excellencd in reception from Tripadvisor. We ordered Salmon and Pork escalops. Salmon was a bit overcooked and the pork was so thin it was more like 2 pieces of bacon. The chef needs a rjcer as the potato was not mashed properly and lumpy. We ordered Pavlova. What came was meringue nest with cream and slices of strawberry. That is never pavlova.A two course for £15 a head is not expensive but what happened to the steak pie you are/ were famous for but not on the menu.? This place is in the middle of Scotlands agricultural belt. The food should be local, not frozen mixed veg.

Delightful soup and Sandwich, good coffee , fish and chips were excellent, lovely chilled pint of lager would not be afraid to call again.

Do places ever slip off your radar? Have been here many times over the years, but not so much recently. Have been here twice in the last two months and on both occasions. Excellent. My first visit, had the curry, second, had the steak pie....

Awful, usually the food here is superb, I ended up with a bowl of lettuce, garlic dressing, 4 croutons and a pile of processed lumps of chicken on top- just awful. No parmesan or seasoning.

We stopped here for lunch and it was excellent. The young girl server was very friendly and efficient. We had tuna potato and gammon salad which were both really good. Parking available outside the hotel.

Very good dinner, menu not very expansive, not a lot of choice, but staff excellent although it did take a little while to be served and at the time it was not busy. Toilets very clean.

Paramos en el hotel para comer algo y estamos planeando volver a casa en nuestro Aberdeen. El servicio era lento ya que la camarera que a pesar de ser de tamaño pequeño tenía su nariz con dos tonos de pelo peirced y parecía bastante intimidante estaba más interesado en su teléfono de pedidos. Así nos hizo sentir como que estaba haciendo un favor al servir. Su manierismo hacia nosotros y fue bastante chocante al entregar las bebidas ella dividido algunos de ellos toda la mesa en la prisa por volver a su teléfono móvil.

Fuimos la semana pasada para servicio de almuerzo era camarera muy bueno, amable y atento. Comida excelente plato de pasta con pollo añadida. No han sido durante años sorprendió gratamente y volveremos.

Estaba aquí como parte de un grupo para la merienda. Comida excelente, así como el servicio y el personal. Muy servicial y eficiente.

Our first visit,we went for high tea. Meal was great as was service and value for money. We were visiting local attractions with family. We will return.

Stayed here for a wedding staff were very friendly and showed us to our room good value for money would stay again.

I went with a group and we had a choice of two course's for £16.50, three for £20.95.I started with the prawn cocktail and brown buttered bread. Could have done with more butter and more ingredients in the salad garnish as overheavy with lettuce.The loin of pork was good. Apple sauce available but not left on the table. Mix of boiled and roast tatties and peas, carrots and broccoli.I had the fresh fruit salad was good but could not taste any juice.All in all I am being picky. It was value with money and included tea or coffee with homemade tablet.

This hotel has been popular with locals for decades for good reason as the staff are well trained the meals freshly prepared and hot at reasonable prices.Its been refurbed downstairs at least as there are 8 bedrooms and has a warm ambience.The bar has a Gastro pub feel will large south facing bay window with a view over the Tay to Normans Law (the last high point in the Ochils)Draft beer is limited to the Scottish favourites unfortunately as is the choice of bottled beer.As we were there only for lunch I did not see the wine list but the menue varied from Black pudding egg,tacos.cullen skink,pannini and caeser salad etc.There is a large conservatory which is popular with wedding parties

I was really impress with this hotel. Lovely, comfortable, modern, but classic feel. Very clean and welcoming room. Food very good.

Not sure what to expect we arrived here on a recommendation from our B&B. The food was excellent and reasonably priced as we were there for High Tea. If we had arrived a little later I might have been a bit more likely to drive on (as the regular prices were a fair bit steeper) - hence only 4 stars. If you are able to eat between 4pm and 6pm - give it a try!

Often come here with family for sunday high tea and come once a month for catch up with friends for dinner.Both are good value.with good menu choice.Dinner is very relaxed and it is never a problem with staff if we are having a girlie gossip and forget it is time to leave!

Stayed at the Inchture Hotel as part of a wedding party. The hotel is old fashioned but the rooms are nicely decorated and our room was very clean. The attention to detail was very good and everything went like clockwork. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I could not fault the food and service were excellent. We were all very well looked after enjoyed our stay.

Shows definite signs of wear, seats taped up in lounge, bathrooms in hotel are old, as are the rooms, decor is basic with on-suite bathroom at best described as 60s, Triton shower and Hair drier antique, toilet seat was badly chipped, room small with wooden sash windows, no air conditioning, Breakfast whilst only 6 being served, yet porridge followed main breakfast, which featured under-cooked bacon and sausages.

We regularly have tea here. It's always great! Good value for money and a good menu always. Staff are lovley and it's a warm cozy bar/lounge with open fire! Have also attended 2 friends weddings here which was always been beautiful and run smoothly.

Restaurant was well decorated and looked like a new carpet. I didn't eat a starter but my husband had the chicken skewers. Said they were lovely. I had steak pie with veg and potatoes no complains delicious. He had the steak pie with chips. Friends had the steak said it was perfect. Only thing was disappointed at the dessert menu. Nothing that my taste buds fancied resorted in a carrot cake which was nice . .

we love this place and regularly stop here on the way home from days out, we have never been disappointed with any aspect of our visits. the staff are lovely and friendly, the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. we will be back there very soon x

Our guild is from Lanarkshire and we were looking for a good venue for high tea on our return from a day trip to Dundee, this hotel was recommended by friends, It was a very good choice,a party of 48 ladies welcomed by very friendly staff, served very quickly and efficiently, the food was tasty, served hot and nothing was a problem despite a wedding taking place in another part of the hotel! very impressed

this is our favourite eatery on regular trips between brechin and stirling. the food is always delicous and the service is warm and friendly i highly recommend it as none of us has ever been disappointed with our meal. we had our evening meal after our wedding here in 2001 and the quality has always remained high

Went with my family for hogmonay it was great value for money. Food was great and couple free wines. Had a fantasia time staff were great night was great also recommend.

Just visited for high tea. Nice surroundings, friendly staff. Wife chose the macaroni although when it arrived it was barely warm but after waitress took it away to speak to chef they couldn't be anymore apologetic and once fresh dish arrived it was piping hot. I had the steak pie and it was delicious. Overall glad we went and would certainly return. Def recommend..

My son took me for lunch for an early Mother's Day present. The meal was lovely, as was the home baking and tablet My son did state that he felt that the portions were a bit on the small side.My only negative comment would be that the restaurant is very tired looking with masking tape covering damage/wear to seats and also the carpet is worn in places.As the food was good the above could be overlooked meantime. I would go back.

Cosy little place for lunch, good service. Ordered fish and steak pie, arrived quite quick. Fish was good, expected more from the steak pie to be honest. But decent quality and decent value with good service in nice surroundings. Would go back.

Handy stop over just outside Dundee.Pleasant restaurant with good menu and well cooked food.Comfortable, large bedroom but, on an admittedly very cold night, the heating was not up to the job

Back again for a quick dinner. Staff are always friendly and efficient. I had the Steak Pie which was great, followed with braw Key Lime Pie.

Surprise Saturday lunch with my husband. The restaurant was cosy and welcoming. We were immediately offered a drink on arrival and not rushed to make our selection. I had the fish and my husband had the curry. Both were cooked to perfection and nicely presented. The restaurant was fairly busy but we did not have to wait long for service. It was not a problem when we requested extra hot water for our pot of tea. Good size portions. Just a shame we were too full to enjoy a dessert, as the choice was very good and they looked amazing. Will definitely me back.

Service was slow we had high tea the fish was overcooked and burnt we never got our tea till after the meal the people who had steak had no steak knifes franklywas it was a disaster from beginning to end

A clean hotel with very spacious rooms. Generally cheaper than the travelodge in Dundee as well. The restaurant is nice although not the biggest of menus but the food is very nice.

My wife and I have visited here regularly and enjoyed the food, however, having not been for some time, we decided to pop back along, unfortunately the place has gone downhill rapidly!The carpets were ripped and the chairs very worn, indeed the whole place looked very tired which surprised us as it had always looked well presented!We ordered our food along with two pints of soft drinks, were we served half pints, that was the first in a long line of errors. Our food arrived, yet we had no cutlery, side plates or napkins so I had to go and get them myself from elsewhere! My wife's main course was incorrect, and then the waitress forgot to bring my wife's cakes as she had ordered the high tea, she also forgot her tea which should have served at the start! We waited 20 minutes so I had to go the bar and ask for my wife's high tea cakes and tea, they arrived but without a knife, jam, butter and side plate. Again, we had to ask!To make matters even worse, the bill was completely wrong when I went to the bar to pay, overcharging us for us things we didn't have! We mentioned that we felt the service had been poor, the lady behind the bar said, "the waitress is new" which, quite frankly is no excuse!All in all, an extremely disappointing experience which is a real shame as it used to be a regular favourite of ours. Our experience might explain why the place was empty when it used to be very busy during our previous visits!I only hope the people in charge take drastic action to bring it back to the level it used to be before other regulars like us abandon the place!

Excellent clean hotel, bedrooms a good size, plenty of toiletries, with good white towels.Food was very good, starter looked bland (Haggis) but made up for in taste (missed the neeps tho).Excellent food prices too, looking forward to staying again.

Had an early evening meal here and it was excellent. Hotel surroundings are very nice. Were seated in the conservatory restaurant. Has a varied menu with choices to suit all tastes. Very good food, well presented. Staff friendly and polite. Would definitely visit again.

We have stopped here many times when going from Aberdeen to Edinburgh or on the return journey for lunch or evening meals. This is a lovely old hotel in the village of Inchture .This week it was an early evening meal at 5 pm. And we arrived to find it quite busy with early diners and some tables pre -booked .The very attentive girls found us a table and presented us with menus . The "Johnny on the Spot "menu was available from 4 pm until 6.15 pm and was value for a 2 or 3 course meal at £8.95 and £9.95 but this excellent value menu didn't have a vegetarian main course included so I chose the macaroni and cheese off the main menu which was also excellent value at under £8 and came with chips and salad .This was a good choice and I saw it was popular with other diners .I did see the high teas were also proving popular with tea toast and a cake stand of fancy cakes Good quality food and a very efficient team .

Stopped off here on Saturday evening to see if we could get a bar supper for 4. The conservatory was fully booked but the waitress said she would check in the lounge bar.There was a table if we were prepared to wait while it was reset.We had a drink and were quickly shown to our table. Our orders were taken and, though we did wait a while for the food to arrive, the atmosphere was such that we didn't mind. The food was excellent - two of us had filo pastry wraps filled with mushrooms, leeks and blue cheese which were piping hot. The other orders were macaroni cheese and battered haddock, both of which were well received. The sweets were well presented and good sized portions. All in all a good experience and we will be back.

The telephone was answered, professionally and almost immediately when I called on Sunday 8th to book for lunch. We were received cordially from behind the bar, by an attractive, well dressed young lady. Our table in the window was a lovely spot, The table lamps on the window sill, would give a lovely ambiance for an evening meal. Served by an efficient and pleasant, very well groomed waitress my roast beef and my spouses beef olives with haggis stuffing,both with gravy and vegetables were terrific meals, as was the following creme brulee served with shortbread. Perhaps this could have had a better topping of the caramelised sugar to crack. There are great selections on the menu, though. A couple dropped in for coffee and this hotel caters to all needs serving, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, while on this occasion a party was in progress in the conservatory, which is also used as a wedding venue.

Incredibly disappointed with our high tea, the so called famous steak pie was tasteless and dry. The cakes were dreadful. 5 dry, stale scones between 9 of us and 7 cakes. The meringues were soggy and the millionaires shortbread was disgusting.

very nice venue and staff very friendly we booked for high tea but was very dissappionted. Fish was not fresh it was like a board, really horrible. Fresh fish would be so much better. The high tea is not that cheap at £11.95 that you cant do this

I am Vice Chairman of the Dundee Stroke Recovery Club and this restaurant where we go after our annual coach outing in May/June of each year. The food and service are excellent as a result it is one of our top options. We normally have a group of around 35 members and friends and they find the restaurant very friendly and comfortable with a lovely open plan outlook in this special area set aside for larger numbers.
