The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

The fish and chips are very nice and the chilli sauce is the best sauce ever! Everything was very good such as the seats and the luxury and I was already impressed but then I got even happier when I found out that the chips were fried in separate oil to the meat. The reason why this is so important in businesses is because vegetarians cannot eat meat and then if they want chips if they are fried in the same oil as the meat they cannot eat it as the meat gets on their and the meat germs get on their too so this was a big thing for the vegetarians!

Era casi como si estuvieran tratando de ignorar a propósito (quizás porque éramos los clientes más jóvenes) eligen claro mesas vacías y en su lugar ignorando nuestro contacto visual. La comida era trajo rápidamente y sabor bastante bueno, pero la falta de disculpas por el retraso y horrible servicio hicieron que una comida decepcionante.

Well if you want absolutely rubbish customer service this is the place for you, I went in 26 may 2024 at 4.22pm, neon sign in the window saying open. When I went in I was surprised to see the place deserted, not one customer. Now some background, I was travelling back to Skye and I have had a Doner Kebab before that was very good. So today I though of taking one for my son and one for my wife back. After a couple of minutes a red haired young boy appeared from what I assume is the office, as he approached he said hello and I responded back. I said to him could I order 2 Doner Kebabs for takeaway, he rolled his eyes and said it would take 20-30 minutes and would I like to wait. My brain struggled to see how making up 2 kebabs would take so long, thought about it for 10 seconds and said ''no way, really that long?''. at that point the guy responded by saying ok and promptly turning around and walking away. So If you want you hopes dashed by ordering food that will take half a hour, this is your place, I am not going to say what I have done in the past but if I took 30 minutes to cook 2 takeaways, my boss would have got rid of me long ago, I would expect a sit down meal to take 20-30 minutes in preparation as a maximum. Bonkers, who ever owns and runs this Fish and chip shop really needs to up their game. When I got back to Skye I told my wife and she reminded me of a time before when she got her dinner from the same shop and it took best part of a hour and there was 3 other couples all waiting, all tapping their fingers, Fast food it isn't, Good food it was but I cannot comment on that as I never got any.

So on our first day of our holiday Monday 27th June we decided to try the closest place to the the resort. Where do I start £45 for 2 adult mains 1 child and 3 drinks absolute disgrace. Anyway we were split over two tables and although ordered at same time our inlaws got food 25 minutes before us. 55 mins later no sign of the food it’s clear the chef forgot about us we had to say then surprise surprise a minute later the food came. Steak pies very little steak in the pies clear as day the food was bought from the nisa store on the resort. 3 of the adults had the pies and all said the same thing they were disgusting and barely edible the top and bottom of the pies were rock solid. The chips were luke warm and again just basic oven chips. My mother in law complained about the food and didn’t even get an apology. My daughter and my niece had chicken nuggets and cmon chef or lack of chef how the hell can you overcook chicken nuggets they barely touched their food aswell and both said it was disgusting. My wife had the highland burger which was Lukewarm and barely edible. It’s clear we weren’t the only people having issues as we seen various people getting the wrong food and also heard a big cheer from a table when their food was delivered an hour later. I’m not buying this short staffed thing as the food was diabolical and if you can’t oven cook chicken nuggets you shouldn’t be in a kitchen. Would advise anyone to avoid this restaurant like the plague.

Hemos comido aquí varias veces antes. Escuchamos la gestión de este hotel/ restaurante había cambiado recientemente, así que pensamos que lo probaríamos antes de ir de vacaciones de verano. Si acaso, las normas han prescrito. La comida servida una ensalada César, no estaba tan cargado en el menú y la ensalada de Haigs parecían un poco cansados, (es decir No recién hechas). Pedí algunos vinagre, pero terminamos yendo para mí mismo. Para ser justos, una comida en este establecimiento no quemar su monedero y un viernes por la noche, sólo tres mesas fueron tomadas. Gestión tome nota!. Se necesitan atraer 'vagabundos en asientos', o dormir con los peces!.

La trona proporcionada no se limpió y el tamaño de la porción de frijoles para niños es muy pequeño, el jugo no es jugo de manzana o naranja, es 50 % de agua. Inodoros de tela pobre y no limpio. La sopa muy promedio y aliada con un tamaño de porción muy pequeño tanto en la comida para adultos como para niños no merece precios cobrados.

Came with my fiance on my latest trip home to visit family. Great to see a good mix beers and we tried a few different ones. The young man behind the bar was very friendly

nice chippy bit deer but no broon sauce put on chips and fish clean and busy so go early you will be queing

Called i one evening before going to theatre just for a drink. Only 2 or 3 others in the bar who clearly had too much of something and language was choice to say the least and went unchallenged by the staff on duty. I will not return.

After seeing a member of staff scratching her crotch then handle food was enough .didnt wash hands I'll ride to wick and get my breakfast there

Been a few times to Morrisons cafe after doing shopping in the store, sadly the cafe and the service have went down hill fast. 1..the trolley cupboards are broken or full of shop stuff so can't use them to park your shopping, 2 .no staff on til when U go into cafe I stood about for ages before someone appeared from the back kitchen. 3. Waited nearly 20 mins for a roll and bacon ( I was only customer in café at the time ).4. hard crispy bacon ended up leaving it .5..I won't be back they need a supervisor at the cafe to get things moving and staff don't give a f@#,k about customers . A bell push at til to say customer waiting is an idea.fix trolley cupboards , cut waiting times down, make decent hot food, it's not rocket science.. and the cafe might actually make money and customers would come back.. I do my shopping elsewhere now and use their cafe which is decent .another customer lost because of a shi##y cafe ..

We ordered 2pizzas and a single fish at 5.50 arrived at 7.30 after ringing them to ask were or order was whe it arrived it was really cold not good enough very disappointing why do they take so long not good service at all 32 pound wasted that's a lot of money to throw in the bin

Absolutely an amazing Greggs so clean and the staff are amazing they are always smiling and serve at an amazing pace , the food was lovey as well as the atmosphere

Very disappointed with the service here today, we waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive by which time our hot drinks were finished or cold. We waited 25 minutes before asking about food as we noticed people around us being served even though they had arrived after us. We were told our food would be another few minutes, 20 minutes later I had to again ask about our food which then arrived 5 minutes later. No apology for having to wait so long, no one seem to care. Don't think any of the 5 of us will be returning to this restaurant any time soon!!
