Guy in there was amazing. But he wasn't serving me. The older woman was standing there talking for 5 minutes to the customer the guy was serving and I was standing there for a good 5 minutes while my chips got cold even move them in fron of her and she continued to talk away haha. Joke

Gregg’s at College Mains Estate, Dunfries. Excellent service from the morning team. Vee, Michelle, Hollie & the team are exceptional. Happy place for a great start to the day!

I go here in the mornings before work for my coffee. Unfortunately I wouldn't dare take the food from Amy of the 2 Gregg's in town centre. Very dirty and service is rediculous. Food always cold I'm in here first thing for coffee and what's meant to be hot food is always stone cold and staff can't be bothered with anyone. Shame its the closest place for coffee because coming here is a depressing start to my day. Gregg's please do something about your Dumfries chains. They need fixed thousands has went into your new bakeries and you sacked all your old (very good) staff and its now a mess. Bring back old Gregg's

Was very disappointed with the staff in this Greggs, although the young girl that served me was very helpful and friendly the people she was working with were gossiping and b*****ing about the manager. Not impressed greggs, maybe if you spend more time cleaning the tables and making the food you would have some decent reviews.

Wen I entered there were 3 staff members behind the counter but seemed to be 1 serving and 2 cleaning the coffee machine. I waited ages to get served, and then there were hardly any pasties and no wraps. It was 8:30am. The pasties were stone cold. I was really disappointed. And then she put the wrong doughnuts in my box. Bad experience. Won’t go again.

when we entered the shop the two assistant's ignored my wife and I, they continued cleaning the coffee machine, the other restocking the cakes. After a minute or so the coffee machine cleaner turned and looked at me, yet continued to clean the machine. After I gave a polite cough she turned again and said "be just a minute". I bought coffee, sandwiches and a couple of cakes to have inside, choosing a cake was made more difficult as the labels & prices corresponded with the wrong cakes. As I paid the assistant my wife went to the toilet, on return she looked horrified, she said it was the dirtiest toilet she had ever used. stains on the floor and walls, no toilet paper and an awful smell, she couldn't use it. While she was telling me this I was looking around the seating area, these to were untidy with food waste on the floor and dirty uncleaned tables and seats. I have to say my wife was right, not only were the toilets the worst she had been in but the whole venue was disgusting. Greggs you should be ashamed of yourselves, this was poor even by greasy motorway cafe standards. I will not be entering a Greggs again!

Sausage rolls were cold and burnt. Steak and cheese sausage roll was bitter and yet again cold. However hot chocolate was satisfactory for a place such as Greggs.

If your call is diverted to a man with a thick, foreign accent and he invites you another hotel, near the station, do not go under any circumstances.

Popped in for breakfast. 1 vegetarian and 1 Scottish. Plenty choices, great portions, tasty maple syrup pancakes and great service. Maybe a bit pricey at almost £20 but the food was good.

Went for Sunday lunch, it was ok. Plates for the carvery dangerously hot, A HAZARD. Meals were ok. Desserts were nice with a teaspoon of custard. The ice cream was sorbet which if we'd known we wouldn't have bothered with. Would probably go back if in area.

Excellent service with you ordering everything from your table which is very convenient. Good choice of food although children’s menu could be better and there were no pizzas which dissapointed our youngest grandchild. We all enjoyed what we ordered and look forward to calling again soon.

This was our first visit to the Anchor and we will definitely be back. The food was tasty and well cooked. The tempura prawns were crisp and sweet and the haggis bon bons were also in a crisp shell. The Highland Game pie was superb with lots of fresh vegetables. The pasta dish was also good. Service throughout was friendly. Next time we would prefer to be in the room with the open fire as the room we were in lacked a little atmosphere. All in all a successful evening.
