We made a visit to the fluke pub in Inverness and we certainly weren’t disappointed with the quality of the food the staff were lovely and our food was so delicious that we are going to be making it a regular treat- the food was hot on arrival and we didn’t wait to long to receive it as the place was very busy- booking it was a great idea as it’s so busy- overall loved the atmosphere and the food bar staff very friendly so overall well done and congratulations on the price it’s to good to be true considering a lot of places now are just so expensive

First stay at the Traquir Arms Hotel and restaurant and can definitely say it won’t be the last. I had a single room on the top floor the room was clean and nicely furnished and there was plenty of tea and coffee and lots of mini milk pots ( most places leave you a couple which normally only allows for one cup of coffee) Everywhere around the hotel and restaurants is clean and tastefully decorated and the staff are really friendly. I had an evening meal and breakfast and the food choices were excellent, well presented and super tasty.

Had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for months after hearing great things but what a disappointment it was. Sat in what can only be described as the worst table we’ve ever had in a restaurant. My wife sat with a wall to her side and myself with the staff till to my side so constantly having a member of staff standing right beside me - it was like having a third member for dinner. We asked to move but unfortunately restaurant was full - this was despite there being some empty tables the full time we were in. This should not be a table in such an establishment and find it amazing that they have it as an option. We can’t complain about the food, it was delicious so credit where it’s due to the kitchen team. Overly priced? Yes. But you pay for location and reputation. Come time to pay I showed my voucher to which the team member grabbed my phone and through the bill on the table and disappeared with my phone for a few minutes. Very strange service. Overall, a massively disappointing experience. Average service, great food but the worst seats you’ll come across means we won’t return and unfortunately haven’t recommended to friends/family.

We had quite a disappointing experience, we booked the room on the Thainstone house website, we paid extra for a larger bed "super king deluxe" and some extras like a fruit platter, when we arrived they gave us the wrong sized bed, was a standard double when we paid for a super king deluxe, there was also no fruit platter. We were confirmed on the booking for the restaurant, but the restaurant was closed. Instead, they served us in the bar on weird low lounge chairs. It felt a bit silly making us eat in an area that's designed as a lounge, low slouch chairs, etc. They gave 3 different reasons as to why we couldn't eat at a table, considering they have 3 other rooms designed for dining it seemed a bit of a bad decision, other guests came in and looked pretty cheesed off at the arrangements. The gym and pool were really run down. It's not the sort of place you expect when you pay well over £300 for the entire experience. For that price and the house reputation we expected something really nice, I had to pretend to be happy as I didn't want to stress my girlfriend out, we had driven down from the Highlands for her to have a medical procedure at Aberdeen hospital, I thought it would break the journey up and make my girlfriend less nervous to spend the night in a posh hotel, I was mistaken. The one thing that saved this was that the food was amazing, but be warned, a pint of standard beer is £12. I left feeling like I had been really ripped off, wouldn't mind paying more if the place met the expectations.

I decided to have dinner at the hotel because I arrived tired and it was a pleasant surprise! I was very well attended to and the food was excellent, at a very good price! I had a starter of breaded mushrooms that were perfect and a main course of a steak that was perfectly cooked with peas and fries that were also perfectly cooked. There are good options for beer, beer and wine. Excellent service and cuisine!

Absolute joke of a place! It took over 2hours for a delivery and when I called to enquire how much longer I only got a poor reason. Called again and I could only talk to a young girl as the owner wouldn’t speak. Food was just warm and no apology was given by driver either. Will never recommend!

What a fantastic experience! The staff were great and more than happy to answer any questions. The food was amazing with such great options to chose from and also a great wine selection. It was our Wedding Anniversary and it was made to be very special. Will definitely be coming back to experience the Garden Room next time.
