Went for some food today after not being to the lynnhust in quite sometime. Checked out the menu online seemed good. When we arrived the menu had changed and was very disappointing as I didn't really like much on the menu and had I of known I would have went somewhere with better options. On a possitve not the waiter today Cameron was amazing and is a credit to the company.

We were already booked into the pub's accommodation (see separate review) and decided to book for dinner. With the splendid view of the working port and harbour why go further? The dinner menu in our room promised fresh fish and shellfish from the Scrabster Market opposite the pub. Catch of the day! Homemade fish pie! Both our preferences but we had a "plan B" for the mussels. Very disappointed that none of the above was available on the menu in the restaurant which on the whole was quite different from the one in our room. We settled for the salmon dish which was on both menus and a special of the day lasagna. Both excellent, well cooked, generous and quality ingredients. We decided to have the Bloody Mary cocktail listed on the menu. Surprise surprise, you guessed it, no tomato juice. Our waitress Linda was a delight. Don't shoot the messenger as is said. It can't be easy running a fish restaurant in a fishing village opposite a fish market....Two stars would be vindictive, a deserved 5 for what we had, the view and crew, but 4 it is. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

We visited the pub for food and drinks. We stopped in on our canoeing trip. A group of six adults, four children. We were cold, wet and tired. Tommy and Janine gave us the warmest welcome and were so accommodating of our many questions and requests. The fish and chips cooked up by the chef were crispy and excellent. Highly recommend!

We had an extremely disappointing experience at the restaurant of this hotel. Upon arriving, we were met with a shockingly rude and unwelcoming attitude from the lady behind the bar. Despite the hotel advertising takeaway options online, she dismissively told us to go elsewhere if we wanted takeaway food. Her tone was condescending and unnecessarily hostile, even though the restaurant was completely empty. Thankfully, there was a lovely younger English waitress who went out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs, offering to prepare a chicken salad that met our allergy requirements for takeaway. However, just as we thought the situation was being resolved, the rude lady came along stating that they could not accommodate us and insisted we go across the road. It felt as though she was deliberately making the process difficult and seemed more interested in turning us away than providing good service. The way she spoke to us was completely unprofessional & condescending. The experience left a sour taste, not because of the food, but because of the complete lack of professionalism and respect. We expected much more from a hotel restaurant, and sadly, this encounter really let the place down. I would not recommend anybody to eat here and it completely spoilt our last night on our family holiday.

Living locally, I decided to visit this restaurant having been badly let down by another restaurant in the area (further down the hill at the coast of the Clyde). Wow what a difference, quality food in a relaxing atmosphere with top notch unobtrusive service. Keep up the good work.

We visited Saturday 9/10/21 , restaurant was quiet when we arrived but very quickly most of the tables were taken. Person who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly as were all the staff on duty. Food was very tasty, would recommend the pate and seafood mornay. I would go so far as to say that this was the most enjoyable meal out all round that I’ve had for quite some time. Reasonably priced too; bill for 4 people - 11 courses and 5 soft drinks was £113. Thank you!

We‘d stopped for a light lunch and to look round the farm shop. The food was nice and we even bought some meat (Highland Stacks) and cakes to take home. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, when we tried to order food on arrival, we were directed to sit at a specific table as there wasn’t much space. However, after 30 mins of waiting at the table, we had to queue back up again at the till as nobody had come to take our order. We were then told that basically everything that we wanted had sold out. So we ordered alternatives, which we had to wait another 25 mins for. So - basically we waited an hour (including queuing time) for 2 bacon & egg rolls and a burger. In summary - not the best service but over all a nice place. I think this was a case of lack of communication - but nonetheless it impacted on our experience. Hoping our takeaways taste good though so fingers crossed on that one xx

Nice quality food - pricier side of cafe fodder but not unexpected from the venue as a whole. Minor issue with not knowing what a Panini is when serving crusty baguette roll - the overall quality/taste was very good. Decent Coleslaw rather than the budget catering watery affair usually found. Pre-packed sandwiches with no option to create your own, Captive audience but plenty of room in the park for your own picnics. £46 for 4.

Fish n chips at the sea side is either overpriced or great value for money. Grazzinos is the later, 2 fresh fish, fresh chips, beans and bread and butter. The fish and chips was cooked for me and my son had the burger and that was lovely. In fact I had to much ! The pot of tea was perfect. £23 bargain for sit down waitress service. All in all a great way to warm up with Storm Bertie passing by.
