What an absolutely gem of a place. Quality food, tasty and inexpensive. The staff are so professional and knowledgeable about the food on the menu. The bonus is that the staff are so welcoming and thoughtful. A gem of a place and will certainly be returning again and again. To the owner of this exceptional hotel keep up the good work.

First time visiting today with our grandson. Wow a hidden gem. Food was freshly cooked to order, waitress was amazing very friendly took time to let my grandson see all the different salt and pepper sets we had dragons. Would highly recommend we wil definitely be back. Great prices too and lovely atmosphere and ice cream to die for.

Went here with my mum for lunch. Ordered 2 sandwiches, a tea, a can of juice and 2 cakes... It came to £32!! The cheesecake & Panna cotta were £6.50 each, if I'd known this before I paid, there's no way would I have paid that price especially for the cheesecake!! I know the price of things has gone up but £6.50 is extortionate for a small piece of cheesecake!! Staff were lovely, the lady carried the tray to our table as I had mum in the wheelchair, very pleasant lady

We have been here before but, the service at that time was terrible. However, we though we would give it the benefit of the doubt. It wasn't too busy so, the waitress sat us at a window seat.We waited patiently for some time and my husband eventually tried to catch the attention of one of the several waitresses who were wandering around clearing tables. He was ignored on all three attempts. I eventually went up and asked at the till if someone could take our order. I sat back down and waited again as the waitress began dealing with another customer. There appears to be no one in charge at weekends and service is haphazard to say the least. We left and went next door

From the review's I expected slightly better. Actually a lot better! Arrived after a long day travelling from the Highlands of Scotland. "Reception" looked after by the bar staff. A minor discussion about a meal allowance that is normally charged back to my employer but not in this case (first ever problem), I agreed to eat & claim separately. Dropped off overnight bag, popped down to the bar for a pre dinner wine. Oh, "it's quiet tonight so the chef is heading home slightly early. Food available until 7.45pm. It's 7.45pm now.... "You can grab a takeaway & eat it here. We'll happily set-up the cutlery, etc " I stated that's rather early for last food orders - "it's on our website " was the reply. At this point I'm getting the distinct impression I'm an irritation & not a guest. The room has peeling mouldy wallpaper. Total contrast to the image's presented. If it wasn't for the fact it's after 8pm & I've been travelling for 10 hours, I would have left & gone elsewhere. Very basic room. Tiny antiquated TV. I'll skip breakfast as I can't wait to leave. Never again & will request my employee to delete this as an option. One of the most horrendous experiences I've ever had.

We found this place extremely expensive but the young assistant was friendly. When we left we felt we had not had value for money and were surprised it was open. Unfortunately there weren’t many places to choose from as it was mid afternoon and most were closed. We would not go back, especially when we compared it with an evening meal we had at the pub attached to Lochside B&B which was fairly priced and tasty.

3 of us for a Spa treatment and lunch Arrived early to use the Spa. Called for our treatments which were all very good and enjoyable. Lunch in Orangery. Soup and sandwiches were very nice. Temperature in here was very cold and didnt heat up very quickly. Tea or coffee was extra to our Spa/ Lunch voucher.
