Fantastic. Staff were so friendly had to sit outside because of nervous dog. This was not a problem' at all. the lady serving was so friendly. The food was the best I have tasted in campbeltown area superb.will be back

Went for lunch, a huge queue and as we were getting closer to the front, I noticed the staff member was asking for names and phone numbers. She then walked away and left the book open for everyone to view. My colleague gave her name and I asked why we had to give phone numbers. Response in case anyone RAN away without paying. I gave my works phone number as I was not comfortable giving my personal phone number, especially as the book is open for anyone to see. I did say this to the staff member and she placed a pen over the phone number as she took us to our table. A waitress took our order, very matter of fact and no smile. It wasn't personal as she was the same with every other customer. A little bit of pleasant customer service goes a long way. A young guy brought our drinks, he was lovely, well done. The food, panini with brie and bacon was delicious, however all a bit flat due to the welcome registration and the female server. Came home and looked up GDPR Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency - not told how the data would be used. Storage limitation - It was recorded in a huge book with hundreds of other names. I didn't see anyone destroying our information when we left and it is likely still there with many other names. Integrity and Confidentiality (Security): Absolutely no security The restaurant must be able to demonstrate that it is complying with GDPR principles. None in place. The place was busy, I didn't want to be confrontational as I wasn't clear on what was acceptable. You do know there is a huge fine applicable for breaking GDPR? I read another review where someone was unhappy giving this information. I don't event think they are allowed to take this information is there is no lawful reason to do so.

Went for our OAP dinner. Everything was delicious food lovely and hot. Mincemeat pies Devine. service was great Enjoyed immensely. Could not fault a thing

The food was lovely, hot and fresh, however, their system of queuing, ordering and paying leaves a lot to be desired. We waited in a queue for over 20 minutes before even ordering our food. You then have to rejoin the same long queue to order coffee and cake. If they had a separate queue for teas/coffee's/cake, people would be served much quicker and the queue would be reduced. Just a simple suggestion!

Enjoyable 2 night stay. Lovely views from bedroom and restaurant. Upgraded to balcony room which had recently been refurbished and was very clean and cozy. Very nice en-suite with highland soap company products . All areas dog friendly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very good both at breakfast and dinner. Beautiful views from hotel Would definitely recommend and hope to return

The Silverfjord has closed down and ceased trading. There is a new business in the building, run by locals which is unrelated to the old Silverfjord.

First time I've ever been refused coffee at a cafe! Walked in and asked for a coffee to take away and were told they are too busy and asked us to go to the food van round the corner.

Comfy bunkhouse and lovely staff, a short walk from the stunning Ariundle Oakwood National Nature Reserve which is well worth visiting in any season.

Latte was absolutely one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Service was great. Lovely place friendly staff. Will defo return before we leave to go home.

Such a disappointment …..think they must have different chefs on different days. I had lunch on Tuesday , scallops with a delicious sauce and a light cheese dressing and honeycomb snap which was so delicious I went back the next day. Ordered same dish …..padded out with some form of very dry potatoes, no snap and sauce almost totally absent. Very dry and mediocre lunch…..won’t be returning.

Ooooh. Truly great fish and chips in a village that knows well historically what it costs to harvest the sea. Whitehills has been a favourite of mine over many, many years. First as a child on caravan holidays in nearby Banff, later visiting vacationing family and taking my own along, and lastly as a wonderful experience for friends staying in the area. They'd already sussed out that Rock Fish is often fully booked, so we went early with a backup plan to get a takeaway if - as we immediately noticed - every table had a reserved sign (at 4pm!) However, they managed to sneak us in to a table that was reserved for slightly later, and that came as a relief to the oldest member of our party on a cold, wild day on the north-east coast. Imagine being at sea, or landing fish, in all that. We were treated to three very different and delicious dishes and one of my companions even tucked into a combo of fish and chicken, both of which suited her fine. My haddock was simply perfectly cooked and served with a smile, even though staff were very busy with large numbers of people at the takeaway counter and arriving to be seated. Whitehills and the wider area has other fine eateries and lots to see and do, but this place is where I'd go again and again for warm, local dining experiences.

Después de haber estado en las instalaciones durante 3 horas disfrutando de la celebración de Hogmanay la siguiente mesa a la nuestra pasó a ser ocupada por 6 personas que estaban constantemente vapeando lo hice plantear esto con la persona que estaba a cargo que básicamente me dijo porque el gerente era un vapeador esto era aceptable. Creo que es un doble rasero y estoy totalmente disgustado por esta actitud.

Had a hot chocolate & a fruit scone today. The scone was nice but the hot chocolate was the worst I’ve ever had. It was watery I think it was made with water not milk. For the price I would have expected better.

Stayed for one night and spend most of the day/night in the bar and hotel. Restaurant was - perhaps in the high end with regards to price, but fair enough the standard was high.
