The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

Very friendly staff and very helpful as for dog friendly there's acres for you to walk them and rooms very clean and modern,will be back in summer months.

Lovely neighbourhood pub. Cask ales. Good whisky selection. A gem of a proprietor to boot. Can't ask for more. Highly recommend.

Very nice meal deal, and the dog could join us. Had olives and home made hummus with warmed soft flatbread, and shared some nachos with soured cream, guacamole, jalapenos and cheese. V good for a light Sunday lunch.

Great fresh food cooked to order, busy too!

The Gordon Arms Hotel is another traditional Scottish hotel with a fantastic pub. It’s a 17th century coaching inn that has everything you need in a pub: live music, Sky sport, pool tables, darts, a restaurant and plenty of beer on tap. The brick wall interior combined with fireplaces give this pub a cosy and inviting feel. It’s also one of the bigger country pubs I’ve been to in Scotland. You’ll find plenty of locals here as well!

The male owner was very friendly. The atmosphere was quiet and secluded, so it was nice to have a quick drink before going to the accommodation.

Fantastic wine bar with great food and drinks. Can’t wait to return!

The most welcoming staff, the largest choice of cakes and a true espresso coffee! What more do you need to get your strength up before Xmas?? Thank you for a lovely lunch time! Excellent community spirit!!

Cafe has large sign saying dog friendly. The dog friendly tables located by the door have a sign taped to them saying order and pay at the counter. I waited at the counter to order only to be asked to leave the counter because of the dog. Not sure how this is supposed to work!!! Left cafe and will not be back!!

A must visit if your in the area. Can't fault a thing

Best pub in the west end. Proper pies, filling and delicious. Fancy beans and Machair loaded fries also worth a try. Not too expensive & lovely staff. Lots of whiskey on the walls. Perfect place to meet friends for a drink, play board games or just to sit yourself and read a book or a paper. Dog friendly, outdoor seating for smokers.

Quality wee chippie, fish was done fresh right in front of us. Crispy and not greasy, very tasty. Sound staff also.

Honestly was so impressed by the selection for dairy free menu here! Usually I go places and only have one or two options but I was given a whole dairy free menu!! So impressed and great food! Will definitely be back

We found this great wee cafe today when we stopped in Ayr. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing and very reasonably price. A very enjoyable lunch.
