New Union Chippie in Falkirk

We were warmly welcomed, and served with enormous portions which were reasonably priced and tasty. One of our friends, English like the rest of us, discovered pizza crunch for the first time.

usual let down. asked for a large fish supper. jim asked if i wanted 2 fish. i said yes. got home to find he hadd cut one of the fish in half. thought i heard him say that but wasnt sure. small chips with it but ended up cost more than a fish supper. another couple had paid and guy worked out they had been overcharged, but his girl told him to be quiet. usual rubbish service. wont be back.

prperly cooked food the black pudding is to die for the fish in batter is realy good as is the special fish sausage is spot on its always cooked fresh and delivered hot the staff are always very nice on the phone and if you go in to the chippie over all a great team great food them that say it was poor food they must have been else where as it was not the union chippy thay were getting food from

Just visited for the first time for ages. Ordered a sausage supper - delicious! A nice crispy batter on tasty sausages and chips were just right.

Enjoyed our first helping so much on our second night in Falkirk ... went back for seconds on our third and final night ;-)

Bought 2 large fish suppers last night with mushy peas! Got them back to our caravan ( 2 minutes) and when we opened them the fish had blended into the chips! Batter very, very soggy and disgusting! Mushy peas had virtually no peas in it, just liquid ! £16.00 ish Need to find a new chip shop! The server was very pleasant! Shame about the food!

Had chips and curry sauce was good and a nice sized portion. Right around the corner from myself never tried before but will definitely go there again.

Phoned and ordered a small fish supper ready with in 10 mins and it was so yummy loved the batter on the fish and chips so tasty !and for it being a small one it was a fair size for the price excellent value! Will be back !!!!

Can't fault this place as a traditional Scottish chippy. Food is excellent and the service friendly. Always pop in here when visiting Falkirk.

My husband liked his just didn't like the taste of the batter was very greasy not sure what they fry things in. Being fair chips were nice and better than the last people's who ran it

my son got a haggis supper there was so much grease on it it came through the bag and on to his new trousers went back to complain and got nothing but dogs abuse of them

We both visited this small, very busy takeaway food shop, the shop appears to to be extremely clean, staff very attentive, and can I just say I would have no hesitation on recommending this place to anyone, as the food was very very fresh and tasty.

Well run fish and chip shop. The food is good tasty and fresh. The staff are polite and helpful. This business was recently taken over from a long running one.

Good chippie quite easy to park near great variety of fast foods,all cooked while you wait,no seating take away only.

Go here regularly for a fish supper and wee Jim who owns it is always a cheery wee chap serving high quality food

Food was great.. service was quick and the wee blonde manager! Well she definitely makes the trip worthwhile.

He oído buenas críticas acerca de este "fish and chips", mi novia y yo fuimos a probar el domingo pasado. Fue bastante gente, lo cual es una buena señal, las dos chicas que sirve fueron amable y hablador mientras la comida estaba siendo preparada. Tuve la gran cena de pescado, que era excelente y muy bien de precio, en mi opinión.

This is one of my favorite fish and chip shops in the Falkirk area, the staff are nce and the food is great.

Had a few black pudding suppers, and very good compared to others in the area. Everything seem fresh and the chips are good. Recommended.

this is chippy with a difference they serve great food and it seems to be family friendly business always made welcome and great choice of food as well as ice cream

La comida estaba bien, pero el servicio que este lugar . El personal podría haber sido más amable y más cerca cierre podría estar más dispuestos a fry lo que hubiera deseado. Terminamos yendo la vuelta a la esquina y lemettis . Volvería otra vez si sabía que el personal había aprendido algo del servicio de atención al cliente .

Ten of us had carry out and eat it inside the bridge bar 25 yards away quality of fish supper right up with the best not greasy and slipped down lovely with a beer some had extra haggis couldn't finish it stuffed full

The food tasted like crap and the service was ridiculous. The owner Jim told me that I might like some special sauce, I politely told him I didn't want any but he showered me in it anyway. Also its chippy not chippie.

I wasn't happy with this place, it stinks, the food stinks, and the owners aren't very nice people as they look down on you. I didn't enjoy the loud atemosphere that was produced by the owner shouting at schoolkids who were eating their cheeky wee crunch's.

Found a pube in my "Crunch", wasn't to happy at that because i am 60% sure that is wasn't mine, Also a staff member "James" I belive his name was, kept pesting me about a "Leah" even though he said that he "didn't like to talk about her", i call bullplop on that.

As I was walking past I count help but go in and get a fish supper. To my disgust the fish was greasy, the batter soggy and the chips basically raw. A few hours later I couldn't move from the toilet. Never again.

I'm pretty sure this is the worst thing I've ever eaten and I'd avoid it, there is many better chip shops nearby. The owners aren't nice and the actual shop is stinking.

Lovely clean premises as it is under new management. It is a traditional chippy, food is cooked fresh and staff are friendly.

the setting for this chippie is quite good as it on the side of the canal the chips are reasonable but not the best ive ever tasted the staff are very helpful and cant help you fast enough so overall its a good chippie

Friendly staff, freshly cooked food. Ample portions, clean and hygienic in appearance. Broad selection e.g. Haggis, black pudding, sausage in batter, fish.

A original no frills good old fashioned chippie. Polite fast service, food cooked well and not greasey.......a perfect fish supper....good and tasty

Don't often eat out of fish and chip shops as i'm a health food fanatic but you know the score when you sometimes catch a whiff of the cooking as you pass by!! I came across this wee delightful chippie when I was out on my bike one evening and decided the smell was too much and just had to go in and sample the delights..........and the owner Jim didn't dissapoint ....my fish supper was to die for! and his staff were all very nice my son had a smoked sausage supper and he thoroughly enjoyed his as well, the helpings were huge and we could hardly finish ours and a lie on the couch came to mind!! all well cooked and fairly priced and not too far from the falkirk wheel so well worth a short trek down for what in my opinion were the best chips i've had since i was a lad!! Jim the owner is one of lifes characters with his comical banter makes the visit even more enjoyable....go on give yourself a treat and try the Union Chippie in Camelon!!
