The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Pequeña joya oculta encantadora y por el dinero, fantástico valor. 2 noches, habitación doble, £ 130! La habitación estaba inmaculada, encantadora y tranquila, y la anfitriona era tan servicial y nada era demasiado problema. Utensilios de té y café en la habitación y un pequeño toque encantador de un poco de champú de tamaño de viaje, acondicionador e incluso un jabón 'Lux' tamaño mini en el encantador baño de estilo victoriano. Excelente ubicación para explorar y como está sobre un pub, no demasiado lejos para ir a la cama si te apetece una copa rápida después de un día ajetreado. Pagamos extra por el desayuno que a £ 7 cada uno bien valía la pena el dinero, con una gran selección.

Once again Carol shows her skills with this homemade Chicken pie.... well I say chicken, also bacon mushroom and leeks with a puff pastry lid... we both ordered it with veg mash and gravy and on a chilly Autumn evening it absolutely hit the comfort food spot ... a great big hug of a plate...

Have been going to this chippy for years, really good fish and great chips as well, with a good ration of crispy to fluffy chips

Returned here after first staying here 20 years ago only to be met with repeated disappointment unfortunately. We booked x2 rooms in the cottage, one of which was particularly tired from a decorative perspective, with few soft furnishings, one of which was a stained throw. Disposable miniature bathroom supplies while most hotels are endeavouring to be more environmentally friendly by using refillable bottles. The noise insulation from the room above is very apparently non existent. To top it all off, when my daughter pulled out a long hair from her scrambled eggs at breakfast, this was the last straw. When we complained to the wait staff, they showed little care which seemed to aptly reflect the overall feel of the place. It has distinctly gone downhill over the last 2 decades I'm sad to advise.

One of the worst chip shop meals I've ever eaten Green chips,microwave Pie that was rock hard and even found a small hair in the chips AWFUL

Always popping in here on my lunch break and greeted with a smile, lovely staff and lovely service, can’t resist the chicken mayo bacon baguettes, the manager is always striving to provide the best experience possible ☺️ 10/10

Had a fabulous meal here at the weekend, all the food was hot and served to us quickly...can highly recommend the beef chilli and my friend thought her chicken breast burger was delicious.... lovely atmosphere, helpful, friendly staff. Small bar but so well stocked. We all had an amazing night in the tastefully decorated restaurant.

You cannot fault this place for lunchtime value & drinks. We were meeting up with other geocachers and we all had the 2/3 course lunch. They were quite busy and we all had a good chat.

We were warmly welcomed by smiling staff and given a choice where to sit. We chose the conservatory with delightful views owner the lawns to the river and marina. The menu had signs of a creative kitchen with a small but tasty collection of dishes at reasonable prices. We chose the fish and chips. It as a big fillet with crisp good quality batter and nicely coloured chips. Very tasty. The desserts were also enjoyed. We could image that this pub has very busy times as it’s such a nice position on the river and a super venue.

A random pop-in following a recommendation, I got the bus from Exeter on a Friday lunchtime and enjoyed the best sausage and mash you could wish for. It came with a whole host of vegetables. Most impressive, and many thanks.

Bar staff need to be trained better. It's a joke today

I was in at 11 today Saturday 29th and there was 3 members of staff just stood doing nothing but you could hear another out the back working. And saw one staff member sat on a work service. This is not good enough. This is the Taunton tesco

Cozy, friendly and reasonable prices. Couldn’t try food unfortunately as kitchen was closed but lovely little pub.

Portion sizes need looking at. Fishcake and chips was just under £5. Not good value.

Grim!..not for the faint hearted. Overlooked by weight watchers...but unbeatable value like all spoons
