Visitamos un viernes y sábado por la noche. Una típica Wetherspoons con una gran selección de bebidas - Guinness a £ 4 la pinta era £ 2. 50 más barato que otros lugares en Bath. Servicio súper rápido a través de la aplicación. La comida era buena también. Muy ocupados con muchos estudiantes hicieron difícil conseguir una mesa, pero no dejamos de sentarnos. Los baños estaban en el suelo sano para variar. Un edificio moderno en lugar de algunos de los edificios históricos por los que esta cadena es conocida.

Al entrar, una portera se mostró reacia a dejarme entrar diciendo que no me parezco a mi identificación, luego entrando la escucho decir “nunca se sabe con los asiáticos, ya que todos se parecen”. Encontré esto profundamente ofensivo, ya que estoy llevando a uno de mis clientes aquí para no armar un escándalo, pero me gustaría que esto se tratara de una manera profesional.

I went there to watch the rugby I had a decaff coffee which was terrible but the atmosphere was fantastic they do a lovely full English breakfast can recommend

Lovely pint doom bar and very cheap and Korean noodles dish was beautiful and lots people enjoying there selfs great service 10out10

Really cold, bit chilly even with a ski jacket on, vibes felt like the cafe the loosing team go to on the apprentice. Lovely toilets though.

Terrible attitude from the staff, very unhelpful when the app told me as a visitor I was in the right pub to order! When I asked for help they replied with to bad!!! Won’t recommend this to anyone.

Got to love a Spoons for breakfast. Very busy and service wasn't too bad. Slow to clear the tables and top up the milk for the tea and coffee. Not keen on those ridiculous drink dispensers.

In a quieter part of the city area, the site is on a road near a crossing. Everything is on one level. The day we visited, it was busy with Christmas drinks and lunch. However, the service was quick, the tables were being cleared and cleaned with speed. Everything was clean and tidy. The team was pleasant, polite, helpful and friendly.

We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Jafferi. With Naan and a drink for each. The food was great! Plus, it was on a thursday, we got the thurrsday meal deal 😍

Went for lunch after going to the Christmas markets,food was poor,service was bad,the place was packed,worst food I have ever had the misfortune to eat,I was really disappointed,too many people rammed into too small a room,I don't recommend eating here when the pub is busy

Can't speak of the food as we did not have any. Pub was lovely and clean bar staff was amazing and fast, drinks were cheap and everyone in the pub was there to have a good time. Really loved it and will go back. We'll done to all the staff. 5 stars.

Our experience at King of Wessex pub Bath was one of the most impressive in a Wetherspoon. We arrived for food at a busy time but young Callum was immediately so helpful in personally seeking out a table still free. Really helpful and polite. Our steak was a little more rare than we wanted but immediately he was on the case and Craig who had also brilliantly and helpfully sorted out a salad problem got attentively involved to ensure everything went smoothly and that we were happy. Amazing. These two are ambassadors for this chain and deserve acclaim. Thanks. It's understandable that mistakes happen at any level in life from the mundane to the globally historic, but Craig and Callum gave a masterclass in how to deal with problems with focus, energy and impeccable discretion. Many thanks.

Came here cause you know it's going to be a cheap meal & pint. The pint was fine but the curry was just warm. It is a case of you get what you pay for

Was a quick bite to eat, what you expect from a Wetherspoons, service was very good.

It's all that Weather spoons are good at. Value for money, good food on a budget. Plenty of seating. Good value offers across the board. Great access to all. Polite staff. Bar and table service through the app. Toilets which are accessible to all. Warm surroundings. Fairly central to all.

Okay, so we went to The King of Wessex, and honestly? What a disaster. We were so looking forward to a good meal, but it ended up being a total mess. We ordered a ham and mushroom pizza with extra chicken breast, plus two crunchy chicken and a Korean sticky chicken with rice. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. The pizza arrived with just ONE piece of crunchy chicken on top. At first, we didn't even notice the chicken breast was missing. But then we asked, and they insisted it was already on there. Yeah, right. So, we showed them a picture of the pizza, and surprise, surprise – no chicken breast! Then they bring us this tiny bowl of plain, tasteless chicken breast. Like, seriously? Why use our crunchy chicken as a topping when we ordered chicken breast? It makes no sense! The other dishes were fine, but the whole pizza fiasco just ruined the mood. It felt like they weren't paying attention to our order at all. We left feeling super annoyed and like they didn't care. Hopefully, they'll read this and get their act together. But until then, we're definitely not going back.

It is one of the better pubs in this chain. The food was good but took ages to arrive and it was the same story for the drinks. Very busy when we were there at lunchtime on a Saturday.

Good place for a spot of lunch in a hurry ! ... Also good for a Breakfast up to 12:00 noon !

One of the staff was very rude waited 10 minutes for her to come back to finish pouring a Guinness & then she argued with us. 2nd October @ 6.20pm

It was the only pub open in Bath that let us sit down for dinner at 8.30pm on Sunday! A large pub where as well as drinking you can order food, we had a hamburger with chips for 5.72 pounds, cheaper than McDonald's and of good quality. quality.

Food was'nt that brilliant had fish n chips were a bit pale, not enough chips, fish a bit small have a bigger piece from our locally chippyI.did enjoy my steak and ale pie yet again I would have liked a tiny bit more mash ,wouldnt go back at all a bit expensive for the size of portion you get.

I just went there for an orange juice and lemonade - so I can't comment on the beers! I foolishly locked my e-bike up to a folded up table as there's no provision to lock bikes to anything. I was a bit perturbed when I came out to see that my ebike and tables had vanished. Fortunately, they had taken reasonable care and put it in the storage facility with the table still attached!

Estaba muy ocupado cuando llegamos a las 6 : 30 pm, pero logramos encontrar una buena mesa para sentarnos. Me habían dicho que el pescado con papas fritas Wetherspoons era excelente y ciertamente no decepcionó! Era delicioso, un tamaño generoso y un gran precio. El pudín de toffee pegajoso también estaba muy bueno y tuvimos algunos cócteles, tragos y bombas al mismo tiempo que estaban bien, pero han sabido mejor en otros establecimientos. Sin embargo, no puedo quejarme del precio.

Services were not great, food came late

Good food and service here. My reason for 2 stars is the poor accessibility for disabled people in mobility scooters. The front of the pub is full of high tables and stools, which disabled people would find difficult to use. The gangways through these tables to reach the normal tables at the backend of the pub are too narrow to get a mobility scooter through. We did manage to get a table outside, and the meal was good. Interior layout needs some changes

I speak as I find and cannot have a bad word to say about this place,staff are the. Best I’ve encountered at a Wetherspoons and the cleanliness matched it also,table cleared as soon as people left their tables and the toilets never had one bit of rubbish inside all the paper towel all put in the bin,it may be the clientele that frequent here but all in all a. Nice change to most wetherspoons

Not the best spoons we've been in

The food is awful. The staff are so friendly and hardworking it’s really nothing against them. We came for breakfast very tired and very hungry so we were very disappointed when half the toast was charcoal black and the other was basically still bread, the bacon was tough and tasted burnt, the tea spoon of beans you were given was cold anyway and the coffee tasted more burnt than the toast. I think the prices are great and they do get very busy but definitely need a new toaster and well there’s definitely plenty of room for improvement which the owner should take into consideration when ordering more stock.

As good as a weatherspoons get value for money food

I love the King of Wessex... always seems to be room ... choice of types of seating from high stools up front to couches down at the back.. Great choice of drink and its really cheap

Typical ‘spoons, soulless and full of all day drinkers. Bar staff unfriendly, told the guy next to me “if you don’t like it, go and drink somewhere else”….savage.

Service quick and efficient. Food was jacket potato and vegan con carne with a little salad on the side. Taste was good. Lots of tables full of leftovers quite a mess, cleared my own table though was in need of a wipe Not sure if this is a staff issue. Hard to move around as too many tables in the way.

Friendly value for money pub, we all ate and our food arrived quickly, well cooked and hot. Our waiter Ti was very really helpful fetching straws for us even though he was clearly extremely busy.

Stopped for breakfast in Bath while driving down to Devon. The King Of Wessex looked like the place for us. It's a Wetherspoons and so we knew what we were going to get. Bath is a lovely place to have a wander around and the pub seemed like an ideal spot to get a feed at bargain prices. We ordered two traditional breakfasts from the reasonably cheery youngster who was manning the bar. He did his best to sound pleased to be at work and very nearly succeeded. Almost. The breakfasts arrived in good time despite the fact that the pub was very busy indeed. They were good though not brilliant, The food was warm and just about cooked but very forgettable. It did the the job, just. OK, just not brilliant.

Stayed for two nights on Bath. Sent for a drink and three small plates. Service at bar friendly and good. Watched he open kitchen as chefs wiped her sweat off their brow and adjusted their hair over the food. Food arrived.Pizza burned and chips clearly fried in old bad tasting oil. I know it's not the Ritz but place is unhygienic with food on floor. Old oil and basic health and safety not followed by chef

Stopped here for a beer on a wet Saturday afternoon. Very busy with a great atmosphere. Many real ales, lagers, ciders, wines and drinks to choose from. All at very good prices. The food menu looked good. Plenty of tables and chairs and toilets at the back.

Very relaxed. Plenty of seating. Good quality food on both our visits this week. Service maybe a bit slow but otherwise all good!

Popped in just before going into the cinema, nice, clean place and the staff are great, however it would be great if someone could teach them to pour a pint properly!

Good place for a beer, burger and chips... new items on menu and a good choice of beers fairly cheap. Near town and Odeon cinema and sports centre.

We called in here for a quick snack on the way back to the hotel. We had a problem with the meal, which at the end was resolved. Thanks to Craig, the shift manager that evening, who did everything he could to resolve the issue. Excellent customer service x 10/10.

I h & bateerave been here for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were warm, friendly & efficient. Food was good and good value for money. Just had the small fish, chips & mushy peas with drink included for just £7 & the food was delicious, fish & batter were perfect as were the chips & mushy peas. Great food & affordability for those on a budget 👍

28 of us eat here on Monday 3rd June, exceptional service from team leader Jimmy and his colleagues, and no complaints about the food and drinks either.

Modern wetherspoons with a large open plan table floorspace. Service was prompt and ordered through the app, which is pretty customary in any spoons nowadays. Choice of food and drink is exactly as you'd expect across the wetherspoon estate of pubs. Marked down to 4 ⭐️'s as the disabled toilet had flooded and whilst the area was marked off appropriately, to get to the gents was quite the adventure where flippers amd snorkeling gear would be recommended 🤿! All in all, if you're in Bath and looking for somewhere reliable and likely very similar to a wetherspoons you'd be used to in your local area, the king of Wessex will not disappoint.

It's 'just' a Wetherspoons. We didn't eat as it was just a bit too noisy for us older folks. It seems to always be going like a fair and the drink prices are the usual bargains. 'Nearly all' of the staff work tirelessly, as most customers seem to sit at a table and use the app nowadays, so they do mostly table service. They were constantly delivering food & drink, cleaning tables or sweeping up. The kitchen, glass washing and bar staff were kept on the move - no slouching here!

Food was what you'd expect of a wetherspoons, very crowded though, and took 20-30 minutes for food to reach the table.

A very busy weatherspoons food was expensive for what you received beer more expensive than other spoons pubs and as usual can't sit outside unless you smoke

Weird staff member interfered with stuff on our table, right next to our baby,whilst we were eating. Not keen to return.
