The best restaurants serving British food in South West

I’ve read all the rather mixed reviews- all I can say is that I find the service and welcome warm and friendly and the full English Breakfast ( available in various sizes) very well done indeed. The coffee was great , I love the quiet atmosphere and the farm shop is always interesting.

Excellent little cafe. Good value for money. Generously filled sandwiches freshly made. Friendly staff and plenty of room Support local if you can ✊

Brilliant pasties and also tried the pizza which was amazng and also the toasted paninis and again, excellent. Really friendly guy in charge and made us feel very welcome. Even let my 8 year old have a free panini because we were so polite. 🤣 Went back 2 more times the food was so good. Wish I lived closer ( I don't think they deliver to the east end!) Highly recommend 👌

Call in with my family for lunch. We all had food and enjoyed it so much. The meals were served piping hot and the meals were of a large size. Good quality and very tasty

Wonderful! The new owner is so welcoming also to the four legged variety..... whom she gave a sausage! Breakfast good and plentiful. Lovely massive cups of coffee and just a real relaxed feel..... from a by gone era which we also love for it's charm! It is a given when we visit again we'll return......

This is the worse fish and chips that I have had been to and I have tried many. The chips was fried to brown and same with the fish. They have used the oil for too long and subsequently the food is brown with a stale taste and the oil cannot be heated to high temperature and the chips became oily and soggy. Their portion size was atrocious, purchased a large size for £4.95 and the size was similar to a regular size elsewhere . Stay away if you don't want to get ripped off. I honestly don't know how they had managed to get those good reviews, BELEIVE ME WHEN I SAY STAY AWAY! SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO, WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN PHOTOS OF THE FISH.

Fab food! Grabbed 3 pizzas and a burger whilst in the area. They all were very tasty. Price is just about right. Would definitely recommend.

The Meadows is outstanding. We stopped for just a coffee but fuelled up on their irresistable cakes as well. They have a great selection of gluten free food and the welcome was warm and friendly. Highly recommended.

Lovely old quirky hotel with comfortable spacious rooms. Good choice of breakfast and lovely evening meals. The receptionist/ waitress, Grace, was an absolute joy- happy and helpful throughout our stay. Loved it and we’re definitely coming back.

Siamo andati li per una cena post evento sportivo, non so di chi è stata la colpa, se dell'organizzazione dell'evento o del ristorante ma è stata veramente una cosa vergnosa. Una cena di 55 sterline a persone bevande escluse. Una zuppetta un misero secondo con contorno e il dolce.Leggendo il menù appeso fuori il totale di queste pietanze era 35 sterline. Ma il problema è che l'organizzazione ci ha chiesto di scegliere la propria portata principale. Portata che poi non c'era per tutti. Quindi sono state portate cose a caso, ad alcuni sono stati portati dei panini. La peggior cena della mia vita.

Just come back from Sunday Lunch Got to say a little disappointing as had very high expectations. Need was very overcooked and Roast potatoes were very undercooked. Service was excellent. Might have been as there were 2 large bookings while we were there but very disappointed.

Me doy cuenta de que estamos viviendo tiempos muy difíciles en este momento, pero mi visita al Brewery Arts Cafe hoy fue extremadamente decepcionante. Mi hija y yo visitamos a la hora del almuerzo y había aproximadamente 8 clientes sentados de los cuales dos habían llegado antes que nosotros y estaban esperando para ordenar y el resto había terminado de comer y relajarse tranquilamente. Ninguno de los dos empleados del mostrador se acercó y, como resultado, esperamos y esperamos. Después de unos 10 minutos, el miembro del personal femenino nos saludó con la mano, pero aún así no vino a ofrecernos asiento. Evidentemente había espacios disponibles que podríamos haber ocupado, pero nos dejaron esperando. Como resultado, nos fuimos y cenamos en otro lugar. He sido un cliente habitual en el pasado en este establecimiento, pero obviamente mi costumbre no es importante ahora.

Despite being down to one chef , very busy restaurant was kept ticking along ( an absolute credit to the team ) food was all fresh and piping hot …customer service was excellent,,,,,, food was very good …… Green King this team in the Hare and Hounds are brilliant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I visited the Kings Head pub for a christening last weekend. Although the restaurant was incredibly busy at the time, the service provided by the entire team was outstanding. They remained professional, calm and couteous at all times. The buffet that was put on by the restaurant was of a high quality and was regulary refilled. The restaurant area was busy during my visit there, as was the bar area but the team were well managed and organised to deal with that effectively. Best Pub in the Area.
