A family Christmas party with 5 adults and 2 babies. Food was amazing lots to choose from the Christmas menu for both adults and children. Made to feel very welcome, special table set up, Christmas cards for all. Food hot and beautifully presented. Would HIGHLY recommend and will DEFINITELY book again for 2025. Thank you Karen and all the team.

Went for a Sunday roast, unfortunately it's one of the worst I've had. Beef was dry tasted odd, the roast potatoes were undercooked. Gravy thin but tasty! Staff are great shame about the roast. Would definitely return for a drink!

Nice place. Food 🍲 good and good value. Can get busy but always somewhere to sit and eat.

It's OK as it's a short walk from home. Not ever had any food there but the drinks are pretty good value. Staff could be more cheerful and crack a smile once in a while

Collected curry, so no issues with delivery. Food was hot and fresh ,but Pillou rice didn't taste authentic. Well cooked though. Would use again, but not local. Free orange drink with the order.

Lovely pub next to the river. Stopped in for a pint on a beautiful sunny day, it was fairly busy for an early Friday afternoon. Pint was nice, but a bit expensive - £15 for two pints is stretching it a bit. However, would recommend if you're looking for a nice riverside pub for a few drinks. Didn't get food but it looked and smelled good.

What you would expect from Spoons, cheap, quick and good was good

We turned up after making a reservation for a Sunday evening, when we arrived the server barely said hello to us, mumbled to take us to our table and threw the menus down and said ‘there you go’. We then wanted to use a voucher on the app to which another server refused to use it, despite us having the code on their app. We ordered drinks, then went to order food at which point the server told us they had no roast dinners left, shrugged and told us they’d served over 600 roasts that day. When I questioned why no one had told us up until the point of sitting down, she said they’d tried their best to phone around and that was it. All of the staff had a terrible attitude & were very sneaky in seating people without being upfront about menu limitations. Won’t go back.

Browns is lively but we found the welcome quick and the service warm and efficient. Blade of beef was well received; seabass with risotto less well (like most UK kitchens, proper rice cooking seems beyond them and this dish was just stodge and the bass it seemed none too fresh) . But a good time was had by all except the wallet - I think there is better value elsewhere eg Quod or Branca

Awful food, it was cold and swimming in fat. Service was very slow. Informed the manager who simply said 'yes its fatty' and that was it. Really do not recommend at all.

My friend and I came here today, we walked in and got a table straight away without booking. We ordered from the valentines menu. We ordered our meals at the same time (table service) and my friends meal turned up but not mine. So we left it for a while, then about 5 minutes later mine still wasn’t out so my friend started to eat as she didn’t want hers to go cold. I got the attention of a staff member and she had said she noticed it looked strange so checked and my starter had gone on the mains side. So it would be 1 minute and they are sorting it… unfortunately it was 12 minutes later my food had come out, so nearly 20 minutes after my friend had hers, and had finished. The staff was apologetic about it. For mains I had risotto, and my friend had the Sea bass. My risotto was okay, could have done with a bit of cheese and I think the mushrooms cut instead of whole mushrooms?? They were only buttons but think they would be better in slices or different. The food wasn’t hot, it was just warm but after the whole starters, we just wanted out. For desert, we went for the cheesecake as the lemon tart was out, but we took it home as we had had enough at that point. Drinks were okay, quickly done. The staff were all very polite and kind, just a shame a few bits let them down. I enjoy the menu at the Vintage Inn group so I would return, the setting is lovely, but I’m not sure if I would eat here again or not. Everything tasted great, just a shame about the timings!
