Pret A Manger Gatwick North Terminal in Crawley

On the first floor of the Terminal, it was surprisingly quiet with lots of seating available. The coffee was the usual inflated airport terminal cost but it tasted good. Plenty of snacks available as well.

Terrible, overpriced and a rip off. They know they have a captive market that probably don’t have time to check prices. Charged £70 for 4x water, drinks, fruit pots and a wrap! AVOID…

Just accused by this aggressive headscarf wearing supervisor look alike at 7am at north terminal LGW that 1 have ordered 1 flat white instead of 2 ‘you said one when I asked you’ in a rude and patronising way. If these poorly trained pret staff wanted me to part my $ again, she has to know some bare bone basic customer service.

No signage to say who the tables belong to so we sat only to be shouted at by angry cleaner. PUT UP SIGNS THEN!

The rudest staff serving…like to be abusive it would seem. We just asked if the Danish pastry was cinnamon and the response was blank and then “I’m not serving you so ask him!”…surely quicker to just answer. Embarrassed to be British if this is how we treat travellers through our country. Pret?…more Prat!

Pret A Manger is a Cafe situated on the top floor of North Terminal, Gatwick Airport. It has lots of seating but it gets very busy. There are very friendly and helpful staff. It has the usual selection of snack food and drinks but with a very large selection

In our opinion this Pret has really gone down hill. Before this visit in the first week of January 2023 we had visited on a few occasions, the last being in October 2022 when we noticed how run down and dirty it was becoming. The windows were filthy in October and it looked as though they had not been touched when we returned in Janaury. Previously the egg and bacon roll came in a tasty brioche bun. This has now been replaced with a dry, tough, tasteless roll.

Was here today with the lovely Ursula on our way home to Cork. Fast service, great range of food, lovely coffee, reasonably priced Two lattes, hot breakfast roll, hot sausage roll, danish pastry under £20

The selection and price of food on offer was reasonable for a UK airport. Enough tables when I was at the airport and the choice to pay more to eat there or pay less and take the food away.

Flat white, this was rubbish - just awful, nice banana. left your coffee after 2 sips on - now off to the well known coffee shop next door

Pret in the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport is on the top floor. It gets extremely busy, but if you’re lucky, does have seating. There is the usual selection of hot and cold snacks available, at reasonable prices. Salads and fruit was available too. The environment could be cleaner on the glass surroundings. The tables and chairs are rather ‘tired’ now as they are rather dated. The quality of the food and drinks are still good but the bacon and egg roll was disappointing because half of the roll was uncut, with no spread and was very dry. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Oh dear. What has happened to Prêt? Our croissants were undercooked, there were only 4 choices of sandwiches, the duck in the hoisin wrap was minced and there was very little of it

We have had something to eat and drink here on at least 3 previous occasions before getting the 05:45 flight to Palma and have never been disappointed. Sadly this time the quality of the food has gone down and the seating and windows were filthy. Based on our latest visit we would not return!

Very busy as you would expect for a branch at a busy airport. Shelves can be empty of certain items at busy times, and the queues to pay, even when all the tills are open are usually very long. Overall food and drink quality up to the usual Pret standard. The staff need to be a bit more aware of the urgency of customers at an airport.

The food is good as usual at Pret but the customer service is horrible here. I understand it’s always busy at the airport but other airports branches seem to manage it much better. First of all service is slow. Second of all if you want to sit down better rethink that! Tables and chairs are extremely dirty with rubbish all over the place. The chair I was going to use was so dirty with leftover food I didn’t dare to sit on it.

Came in here for breakfast after a long transatlantic flight and it was quite good and average price.

Whereas you can never really fault Pret food, the dirtiness and overcrowding of this outlet really lets the brand down.

Had a nice breakfast and good coffee. Terminal is super busy as a lot is renovated so was good not to have to line up for the restraunts.

We bought four baguettes, two for our breakfast and two for our lunch on board the plane. All were well filled with interesting ingredients and the bread was seriously fresh. The accompanying coffee was 'organic', they said. Well, it tasted good, which is all I care about. The baguette flavours we chose were 'strong cheese and pickle', 'avocado and bacon', scrambled egg and bacon'. All tasty.

Good, fast and good simple menu for the quickies. Clean, neat and systematic place. Recommended. Look ot for it.

Wednesday 19th June 2019. Breakfast (and lunch for plane). Nice sandwiches and drinks. It was packed at 6:30am, but we still found a table for 5. It's all decent food and therefore gets recommended here.

A really busy place Staff are good but some of its customers are a pain Had the cheese and pickle baguette Tasted pretty good and was luck to get the last one No free tables so had it as a takeaway Looked like they had a wide choice for vegetarians

Gave this review 2 stars for two reasons;

Huge queues 10 mins wait to pay, tables uncleared. Food and drink good but need more staff at peak time

Visited the location at the Gatwick South Terminal. Great food leaning to healthy choices, good selection of breakfast and lunch foods, plus snacks. Employees friendly and helpful. Kept very clean considering the high volume of traffic in this airport... conveniently located on second floor with other shops.

Timing is everything here, its very busy. Our food was very fresh and tasty. Getting a seat can be a problem.

We took a snack lunch in PAM before boarding a flight to Tenerife. It is really excellent that you can get their extremely fresh baguettes (I chose bacon and brie filling) and coffee for the same price as on any high street. When waiting to board our return flight from Tenerife, a week later, we were charged much more for very moderate sandwiches (5.50 euros) with little discernible filling. The coffee was not so good either.

At least there is some half decent food here when you compare to the other eateries here.

Couldn't be bothered to wait for the plane breakfast so bought my own at very reasonable prices and took it with me.

Just before our flight early in the morning we needed to have a quick breakfast. They had some options that fit into a very specific diet for one of our family. And some really good breakfast sandwiches that were hot. The queue was very large yet it’s the best managed Pret I’ve ever seen. Waited less than 3 mins before I had paid and a fresh coffee handed to me! Next time I’m in the north terminal I’ll be stopping by!

I like this place - doesnt matter if its in the cities or at the airports - good sandwiches, coffee, drinks. But this time at Gatwick airport (even it was not busy) the table and floos were superdirty, full of crumbs and nobody cared.

A big shout out to Victoria and the team who went well above and beyond with answering my dietary queries. Victoria as Manager came out on the floor with the book of allergens and personally showed me what was available to me around the cafe and then made sure I went away with an extra sweet treat on the house! AND this is the first place on my travels back to the UK where I found turmeric latte (my favourite in Oz!).

Picked up a take away to eat during my flight. Standard Pret fare, so you know what will be on offer and that the quality will be good. Picked up several items including Bircher Muesli and a chocolate croissant. Very enjoyable when I ate them mid flight.

Thursday 21st March and we visited this sandwich bar which is located on the mezzanine floor, by the escalator, at the far end of the departure lounge.

I love the apple and ginger shot and the coffee of very good. We also had a lovely salmon and egg baguette - yum. Pret is constantly good with food and drink - my preferred choice :)

Get your breakfast on the go We got enough to eat on the flight and when we got off. We love everything about Pret in the South terminal.

I bought a flat bread chicken and pesto sandwich and cup of tea prior to my flight as I had had eaten nothing all day. I had great difficulty finding a seat in the service area provided and was forced to sit on a stool in the raised table section which had not been cleaned. It tasted strange but I was hungry and I remember thinking “I hope this doesn’t make me ill” it was a bit dry. I finished the cup of tea, but threw a quarter of the sandwich in the bin as it was really quite unpalatable. I had an evening flight from Gatwick to Aberdeen, arriving at 8pm. I had an early night, and went to bed on arrival at my families home. I was wakened at 02.30 with stomach cramps and nausea. I then spent the night in the bathroom, being violently sick until 05.45. I wonder if anyone else had a chicken sandwich with he same outcome? A comment from Pret would be appreciated. The vomiting was overnight!!

Lovely and fresh food with lots of dietary options. Friendly and quick service and lots of tables available.

We always choose Pret a Manger in Gatwick when we have a hour or so to pass, waiting for the boarding announcement. The baguettes are amazingly fresh, and are removed from sale after 90 minutes to be replaced by freshly baked ones. Coffee is freshly brewed on proper machines and the prices are no more than on the high street/ A pleasant experience all round. If you happen to be on flights that do not supply refreshments (or charge a lot for them), you can buy some tasty baguettes sandwiches or croissants from this chain.

My first time at a Pret. And my last. Partly went because the other food offerings in Gatwick have really eroded in recent years [unless you like burgers] and partly because I really expected to like it given its reputation. We are two vegetarians who for brunch after a long haul flight and before our domestic flight home.

I have to own up, I love Pret. I can always find something I like and can eat (limited diet). Their coffee is always good, they use decent ingredients and the prices are reasonable. This extremely busy branch is well run.

Lovely staff works there, whom put their effort and passion in what they do. Always very generous. Worth going in for any time of the day. Do not be afraid about the queuing, it goes really quick. Extended seating area, many food choices.

Well, I have to say there are many offerings at Gatwick North which I would not DREAM of patronising. Pret is one of the best. Always long queues, but plenty of staff so they move easily.

Had smoked salmon sandwich, a cheese and tomato hot thing and a Love bar. Sandwich was tasteless, cheese thing was OK, Love bar fell apart all over the table while trying to eat it and didn’t taste of anything.

Was a little nervous to dine at a pret a manger due to the recent press. I also have to be very careful with what I eat due to having IBS. I had pea and mint soup and a smoked sal. sandwich on the long and firm bun. I tried to speak to a manager to see if there was anything in the soup that would cause an IBS flare up. It was so hectic and busy I gave up. Fortunately, my only symptom from the meal was excessive gas. While this was awkward on the plane whilst flying solo, it was also better than needing to spend the whole flight in the toilet.

Realised I had been charged for two cups because I asked for a 'stronge cup of tea'. And when challenged, he argued that it was two teabags and I had to pay double the cost of a tea!

Pret A Manger at North Terminal Gatwick was extremely busy when we visited mid morning. There is seating available both in the cafe and outside, but you need to be lucky to get a seat. General seating is available.

Came here during the Saturday morning peak departure time, so it was a nice surprise to find that there were virtually no queues and the cold/drinks and food cabinets were well stocked. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The coffees were good and the pastries were tasty. If you can't find a seat within the designated café area, there's plenty of general seating nearby. Seems like the best bet for a hot drink and a snack in the terminal.

Good place to buy food to take onto your flight. Was flying easyjet, so I picked up the food that I wanted at the price that I wanted, and could eat on the flight when I wanted.

We had a quick visit to Pret to collect food to eat on the flight. There was plenty of choice for fresh food, but it was very crowded. It would have been better if there was more space to see what was on offer and decide what to buy. At the checkouts, there was a very short queue and we were quickly served. There was not much space to sit and eat, so you may need to find seating elsewhere at the airport.

All my life I thought decent airport food for an affordable price was a myth. Usually, you pay way too much for too little food. Pret was the exception. Nothing here is fancy or creative, but it works. It’s functional cheap food at an airport.

The Pret-a-manger chain prides itself on the freshness of its sandwiches and filled baguettes. To ensure perfect freshness, they are replaced after an hour or so. We always choose this chain at the airport, not only to enjoy the food on site, but to buy food to take on the plane, when the airline is charging much more for items that are nowhere near so tasty as that provided by Pret-a-manger The Gatwick branch is well up to the high standard of this chain elsewhere.

A pair of nice Pret sandwiches were exactly what we needed to combat the 3am get up on the day of our holiday - I'm pleased to say this place delivered them with a smile and no delay. And not even that much more expensive than the high street - winner!

Loads of fabulous organic sandwiches and foods to take on your flight. All sensibly packed and reasonably priced. The things we chose were all delicious.

The place is always busy! But it us understandable due to their fresh salads and sandwiches. I love the salad with creamy chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, pistachio and grilled paprika! Cannot avoid stopping by and taking one if I am hungry and see Pret a Manger around :)

Nice sandwich. Good tea / coffee. Busy place but did not feel overpowered with the bizz of an airport. Not expensive given the fact that you are a captive audience.
