Had our usual, 2x lamb shish and 2x chips. I thought the lamb was almost tasteless this time. Usually it’s a guaranteed banger of a takeaway but this time, no. What’s going on!!??

Would give this place 5 star rating food always good since moving in the area in January we tried a few kebab places this is the best around… Also tonight was meant to ask for delivery but put pick up instead once I knew called the store was so nice and polite on the phone delivered our food straight away was still warm… Thank you And delivery drivers are all so nice..

Food was underwhelming regards to taste and it did not feel fresh

Food and portion is very good a shame delivery was very long almost 1.2 hours. Woman on the phone is very friendly but the guy needs training in customer service was very rude when I called to ask where my order was , but the girl was kind

Always my go to Turkish takeaway! Food is tasty, hot and reasonably priced I like the option of Turkish bulgar rice instead of bread and the many other combinations available as well as loaded fries. Halloumi pineapple chicken shish in a rice box is my all time favourite The staff are excellent and have great customer service

Unfortunately giving only 2 stars. Lots has changed, maybe chef has changed as well or managment. usually we had a collection and no issues. But this time we have ordered for the delivery directly from their website. Order was 15 minutes late, which isn't and issue, but notes which I left on order, are there just for fun. Noone reads it. I asked for a simple amendment - no onions in the salad. Has anyone noticed it? Answer is NO. However notes comes - at the top of the order. Shame. Other thing which I was super surprised, in large lamb shish I had 2 pieces of beef. How strange. Believe me or not texture and taste is different. And overall quality of meat wasn't good, barely chewable. Will I go there again - Unfortunately no. I really thought this was best Turkish food, and it was for long time.

I have tried most of the kebab shops in crawpey amd these guys standard are way above the rest dont take my work for it order some food from them today

Appalling customer service 45 minutes late, Got lost went to wrong address Forgot part of order! Plus was given wrong order and food was lukewarm/cold. Was the 1st time ordering from this Restaurant will no not be returning.

We love this place - our go to every time we don’t want to cook. Never misses, literally always SO good! We realised recently they have their own website and delivery service and haven’t looked back since. What a gem

Every week we check meals , never right have to go back a handful of times.also kebab usually ok had one tonight all crisp burned not worth the money. Disappointed again next week a curry.

They have good doner kebabs but unfortunately chicken shish kebab was undercooked and hard. We talked to manager but he was rude and didn't want to talk and listen so there is not good customer service. If they would listen to the customers so they can improve their food quality and cook it properly especially after increasing price

We quite often get take-aways from here, as they never disappoint. Shish kebabs were generous, full of meat with fresh salad and nice sauce. Added Haloumi tasty too. Feta and vegetable wrap was very big and Turkish Bulgar with it also flavoursome. The chips from Istanbul Grill are always decent portions and nice and crisp. All ready in 20 minutes or so. Shame they stopped the pizzas, but they do have burgers as well, and plenty of sides. Our favourites are the breaded mushrooms and onion rings.

The food is good , we are often taking wrapped kebab! I would give 5 stars ,however I understand it's a busy restaurant, but for the last 3 orders including a home delivery, either the salad was missing inside ,today was the sos🤣! Honestly this 2 missing makes a huge difference on the flaveur ! Another thime the drink was missing! I would pay more attention to this !

This was my first time ordering from Istanbul Grill, and the reason i thought I'd give it a try is due to the write up in sussex express being featured as the best Turkish restaurant and take away awards. I was hank marvin so i ordered the Instanbowl, the Istanbowl is mixture of all kebabs. 2 Chicken Shish, 2 Lamb Shish, 2 Kofte, 2 Grilled Wings, 2 Sucuk, 2 Falafel, 2 Fried Halloumi, 2 Grilled Halloumi, Mixed Doner, Grilled Veg & Turkish Rice - £29. Looking at the above i thought this will be plenty between 2 people. However when i got the goods home i was taken back by how small the portion was..... To be fair there is a picture of the food, however the size is open to interpretation. The diameter of the tray that the food came in was only sightly longer than my fork. The tastiest part of the Instanbowl in my opinion was the turkish rice, lamb shish and Kofte. The Falafel was super dry! The garlic sauce was awesome. I'm going to give this place another try and next time I'll choose a different dish.

Joke of a place. In the space of a week they’ve upped their prices and now charge extra for salad on something that I buy every time that’s never been chargeable. Won’t buy from here again to line their pockets when there’s other places locally just as good, if not better

Order from here quite often. Good selection of food including meal deals to sort all tastes. On average normally good quality and normally always still hot when it turns up. Would of been 5 stars. But 5 out of 10 times either salad missing or wrong drinks. (Giving a can of coke to someone that is caffine sensitive makes for a fun evening). When you ring they say they will send a replacement but it never turns up. Even after waiting 2 hours. Disappointing really as a very loyal customer.

What can I say, it must be good if we visit every week. Variety of choices and the kids also love it. Definitely recommend to try, probably the best take away in the area. Good job guys.

Tucked away in a very quite parade in Crawley, this place is a gem 👌 Very clean, the staff are young and very polite. The food is amazingly delicious. My girl friend had Houllomi Wrap & I had a Chicken Shish - very very tasty 👌😋😋

Had combo kebab on chips, certainly one of the best kebab shops in UK and definitely the best out of what's on offer in Crawley and Horsham! Food was hot and tasty, plenty of salad on top too. I order for collection due to long delivery times, but this is understandable with how busy they are.

Omg I just brought a chicken Shisha and it wasn’t cooked and the bottom of the tray was full of water juice from the salad. Worse take away I’ve ever had. I never write reviews but this needed to be known. Ruff

If iceland supermarket opened a kebab shop this would be it, frozen falafel dry as a flip flop. Lamb Shish cooked by the sun in the Sahara desert over the course of 5 days.. everything was awful! Quite possibly the worst kebab I have absolutely ever had in my life! No thanks, never again..

everytime i go in there they mess up my order, i asked for a kids meal with MAYO so i get chilli sauce and it wasnt even edible, im so disappointed and my chips were hard

Ordered the munchie box..they forgot the drinks but said that would go and get them and bring them right back...they did not return with the drinks! Also should get 6 of everything in the munchie box and only got 5. Everything well over cooked.

Don't know what has happened here used to be so good but food quality has definitely gone down hill 😡 two weeks ago we had to take food back doner wrap was freezing cold the meat actually white the manager apologised and replaced the food then yesterday we try again to bite into a chicken burger that was not cooked it was pink 😡 absolutely disgusting this could of made my family seriously ill. We will never eat from there again! Avoid this place

Ordered the Istanbowl, collected it as I know deliveries can take up to 2 hrs at busy times, food was delicious, good quality, cooked perfectly well & decent VFM, best in the area hands down…

Usually pretty good - but on this occasion our food arrived COLD.... And we only live just down the road in rother crescent so it's not like they had to go far ....

Best place in Crawley for a chicken burger! However it seems people are noticing now as they are often very busy which I have noticed leads to mistakes being made on your orders which is a shame and the reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Simply the best kebab shop in Crawley They are the Man City of kebab shops, tried Troy's and they don't even come close...huge portions, delicious food, and nothing is ever a problem when asking for something...

So happy with the order. Everything was very fresh and tasty.Ordered veggie burger,halloumi,falafel,hummus and grilled veggies. Cooked to perfection! And wrapped beautiful so everything is hot. The only downside is that the delivery time is not accurate,but I can understand that because they are popular. Well done,guys!

I moved to the area about a year ago and have supported this place a couple of times a month. I have always found the food to be great… until today… I ordered 1 feta kebab, 2 x Halloumi kebabs and a lamb Shis kebab. When they arrived the portions were tiny, half the size of their usual portions. My kids finished their meals in 2 min and have had to make more food , as they said it was a ‘starter’ portion. The total meal cost £45 excluding delivery, which is £10+ per meal. I’m not expecting huge portions, just fair value for the money spent. I called the store to complain and explained my disappointment to the worker. She then asked me to hold and relayed the message to the owner. He didn’t bother coming to the phone to apologise or offer an explanation. His answer was ‘sorry, but that’s just the portion size now’...? Three slices of Halloumi and some chopped lettuce…it didn’t touch sides. Save your money and spend it with someone who cares about the standard and value of the food they sell. This place will never see a penny from me again.

SERIOUSLY…. What has happened here? The food quality has dropped, this place used to be so good but on our last few orders… it’s been pretty rubbish. After today we won’t be using you again! 2hrs to get our food….. it’s an extreme joke, don’t you think? And this isn’t the 1st time we’ve had to chase an order or forgotten items! If we hadn’t of called I don’t think we would of ever got our food. We were told an hour wait, that’s ok but when we call to chase after an hour & 40mins, we’re told it’s already on the way…. But someone forgets to mute the phone while they check with others, “have you done this order yet?” “NO!!!” “I’ll print it out” An honest answer and an apology wouldn’t go a miss! Plus if you pay someone to create an app for you, make sure it works as you can never redeem your free ice cream.

Ordered our food today and it turned up missing a few bits. It was partially my fault but also there was a new chap that may have made a small mistake. The chap was very honest and we were patient with him, I did suspect that the order might have an issue. When it arrived and we noticed a few bits missing, the guys in the shop were excellent as always and I nipped up to get the missing items. I think this is a family owned shop and they are always happy to rectify any issues. People moaning that they live only 5 minutes away and expect their food immediately, need to realise that these guys run a business, doesn’t matter where you live, when you place an order, you’re put in a queue! I like the food, I like the people, I like the service, and I’m happy to wait for good food.

Really good food. I personally had the Hawaiian Burger, which was delicious. A bit messy, but that is to be expected from a burger like that! Also, the chips taste really good, I don't know what they are coated\cooked in, but they were amazing. They do get cold pretty quickly though.

We ordered from Instanbul Grill tonight, waited an hour and didn't quite realise they'd leave the order quite literally ON the doorstep... The driver quite happily handed over the bag and dashed off in a hurry, turns out this was because he'd dropped half our order outside on the floor. When we called to speak to someone about this there was no apology but instead a 'what do you want us to do about it' from the girl on the phone, quite shocking really- I just wanted my dinner! After 5 minutes of speaking to them and getting through to the manager they reluctantly sent a replacement item out but left the seagulls to clean up their driver's mess outside the house...

I ordered two Donna kebabs which took about 1 & 1/2 hours to arrive. The food was only just warm and being a kebab with salad wasn't suitable for reheating in microwave. This is a shame as the meat was nice. Sadly this has put us off Istanbul Grill.

One of my favourite takeaways and tonight we've ordered, I did collection as long waits on delivery (not surprising with how popular you are!) But it's the second time been missing chilli sauce on our kebabs. Sadly its not a sauce we have at home and I didn't mention the first time as understand mistakes happen, rest of food lovely but its been a while since we ordered and this was our treat and so was disappointed to have it missing. Will be sure to mention it on the phone next time we order, did try this eve to call and bring it to attention but couldn't get through on lines.

Used a couple of times previously and was ok then ordered Friday and took over hour and half to arrive was stone cold and since Saturday myself and my wife have had food poisoning so won’t be using them again. This meal was all we ate so definitely came from the manky cold kebabs

Good options and great choice.. took takeaway collection after reading reviews about delivery and as it's only 10 minutes from my place. Good portions... Would definitely recommend the 4 kebab combo as it was just right for 2 people and 1 child

Such a shame because the food is nice but not worth the 1.5-2hrs wait 9/10 times. If you don’t want to eat for a few hours order from there. Tonight order was wrong and food was cold.

Food took 2 hours to arrive and was cold when it got here. Save yourself the time and effort and order elsewhere.

This place is seriously underrated. We haven't been able to eat there for about 6 years now, but it's still what we compare everything to. I just came on here because we just recommended it to someone and we still recommend it to people over there every chance we get. They're never disappointed. It's honestly the best we've had this side of Turkey.

Use to be 5/5 standards has slipped, order at 6 arrived at 7:38 nothing difficult burger and chips lamb donner, drink was missing and food was luke warm at best give this place a miss now

Ordered the IstanBowl to be delivered to share for my birthday and it was really good. Took about an hour to get here, which is what they said it would take on their site.

Ordered a chicken shish with no onions what so ever as my wife has serious allergic reaction to onions. When order arrived, both kebabs were full off onions. Tried to call back to get it sorted and it took over 50 attempts to get through. When I eventually got through I pointed out the seriousness of this and they offered a replacement which would take another 20 minutes wait and as long as I returned the kebab with onions back to them. I do hope they are not going to reuse the meat from it and serve to another customer. So if you have allergies then I would recommend not using Istanbul grill.

This is the only kebabs shop we order from in Crawley. Lamb Shish wrap, Chicken shish wrap, Hawaiian burger, and Felafel & Hummus are our absolute favorites. I know their delivery is always busy so we prefer to picking up the order. Staff are very friendly.

Quick service and helpful staff

Order was left on doorstep. Driver didn't even knock. I have CCTV and it shows it was left outside for 40 mins before we called to ask where our delivery was. The person on the phone was so rude, kept hanging up and basically said I was a liar. No apology at all. So we will never be ordering from here again with such shocking customer service. It was the 29th may 2020. We were ordering weekly at that point but haven't placed an order since. It was a young lad that answered the phone. He refused to pass me on to a manager and refused to tell me his name he just kept hanging up. I have never been so shocked by someone customer service skills as I was by this man.

If you have allergies I'd say don't order from here. We made a big order for us and some friends and one who is allergic to mushrooms told them he cannot have them so to leave it off the order and they sent it with mushrooms anyways, when he called to complain they told him there is no such allergy and that if he wanted a refund they had to collect the food which he agreed to but they wouldn't send out a replacement so he had to literally get a refund and then make another order for delivery straight after. I'm discusted after telling everyone that the place was good they treat my friend like this. Will not be ordering from here again

This is hands down my favourite kebab but when I ordered tonight, I ordered the hummus and summit and the summit (bread) was so burnt I couldn't even eat it. Really gutted as it's my favourite takeaway. I'd still really recommend but just disappointed on this occasion.

Went back last night, first time in a while. Service was appalling and i ended up asking for a refund and leaving. It wasn't exactly busy as I ended up the only one in there. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes from ordering and paying they didn't know what my order was for (they had to ask me) and then said they had no lamb doner! This establishment continues to nosedive into seemingly ever lower standards from what was a promising beginning.

Have used this place many times and food usually good, however ordered a delivery tonight and wish I hadn’t bothered. Well over a 2 hour wait for 1 burger meal when I live 5 minutes away. Terrible customer service on the phone constantly fobbed off. Go elsewhere.

Terrible service food took 2.5 hours to arrive when we called to ask where it was we were lied to twice as to when it would arrive, when it did finally arrive it was stone cold so sent it back with the driver DONT ORDER FROM HERE!

I have been getting food from this place for a while now and i can honestly say that it fills you up. You go from the kebab to the lamb chops i cannot fault them. My absolute favourite is the Hawaiian burger. This burger really make you think you are somewhere else. You have to experience it to know what i am on about

These guys were giving discount to key workers during the nationwide lock down. They must have lost a lot of money due to their generosity. I don’t think it’s been recognised as much as it should have been. The food here is always bang on and the staff are friendly. I recommend the loaded halloumi fries and a small meat and chips!

Been getting food from here 4 years now. The kebabs are always so good! We recently tried a burger and they are also incredible. Going to miss you guys when we move away! :(
