Where to start! This experience delivered on every level. We booked the Sunday package, an overnight stay in the Beautiful Mallard in Duck Terrace, dinner at the Coach, breakfast and lunch at The Hand & Flowers. We arrived and were driven to our room, what a beautiful spot, everything you need & a hot tub. Just off the High Street so perfect location for a wander. Also nod to the driver who was an absolute gent! We were booked into the Coach for 8:15pm and had the bar stools overlooking the kitchen/ pass & what a touch this was! In our opinion the perfect seats & the most amazing dining experience. The staff were faultless, Matthew sorted us out with an exceptional bottle of wine based on our preference as to what we'd usually order & it didn't disappoint. A Norfolk wine and my new favourite! Rich was on the pass and the interaction was spot on, great recommendations & a joy to watch the art of the craft in action- along with Zavo & Nico it was absolute perfection in the kitchen. The food- where do I start? 8 small plates and when I thought the next couldn't be any better they just kept on coming & exceeded any expectations we'd had. It was lovely to be able to ask the gents what they liked & what the favourites are & the recommended dishes were on point! I honestly wouldn't change a thing about our night at The Coach. The pirates are an absolute credit to the establishment & we are really grateful for the wonderful atmosphere they created. The Hand & Flowers was also an absolute delight, breakfast was incredible, that bacon was without a doubt the best we've eaten! Lunch was just gorgeous, I had the soup and the trout and I'd happily eat those every day! Again the staff couldn't do enough, so attentive and welcoming! If you read a bad review I honestly don't understand why, from arriving to leaving we have had the best experience & would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a treat! The Coach you have our hearts, what a way to kick off our break and finish off my husbands birthday celebrations!

just another Guinness bloke here... reviewing the black stuff. For my birthday this time actually. Good creamy texture, mushroom shape top...very good pint...right temperature, not too cold, very clean and clear glass. Gentleman behind the bar was very polite, took his time pouring, bit of a chat to entertain me while the brew set. Lovely clean pub, makes me whish I lived nearby.

Popped in for lunch only to be told that they were not doing food without a reservation as they were expecting a large group, disappointing given it was well within the ‘lunchtime’ service period. Strange to turn away a paying customer who will probably now not go back again.

Came here for sunday lunch with my husband, to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. Had a lovely lamb shank and roast beef pleasantly served by a young girl who said her name was Millie, definitely recommend not just for the fantastic food but the incredible hospitality. Thank you Millie and the two brewers staff for a lovely 22nd anniversary lunch.

My daughter & I visited for a drink and food after a day exploring Brighton. The bar staff greeted us when we arrived they were friendly & happy to talk to us. The bar was quiet when we arrived (around 4pm) and the atmosphere was relaxed, even when the bar got busy, it didn't feel too crowded or noisy. The toilets were absolutely spotless, which makes such a refreshing change, as many in Brighton are not! I had the steak & ale pie with charred cabbage and merlot gravy, it was absolutely delicious. My daughter had the Great British Cheese toastie with bechamel sauce on sourdough bread, which she said was the best toastie she'd ever had. This is our second visit to The Druids Head, and this visit was just as good as the first. A beautiful old building with lots of history in a superb location. We look forward to our next visit when we are next in Brighton.

We have been anticipating the opening following the refurbishment, but we're so disappointed. It looks much the same, but fresher, which was nice.... but we didn't come for the decor, we came for the tasty, great value meal deals only to find the menu changed with no special deals available. Thinking the gammon and pineapple, although much more expensive, would be the same as we always had, we ordered it and what an absolute disappointment it was. We won't be coming back!
