Just stayed here for 6 nights as part of Travelsure holiday. Speedy check in with helpful staff. Rooms very clean and tidy; plenty of tea/coffee/ milk facilities; good shower. Restaurant was excellent, too. Splendid food and fast service. Special mention for Ray, the restaurant manager, who ran the system brilliantly. Great sense of humour and very professional. Good bar, again with cheery staff. Entertainment was fine as well. Overall, a fine holiday and delighted to recommends the Queens if you are thinking of staying in Eastbourne.

Travelled with a company called Alpha Coach Tours, very reasonably priced for bed, breakfast and evening meal. Rooms were cleaned daily, good choice of food on each morning/ evening. All staff were friendly and polite from the manager Sven to my waitress Ann, entertainment each evening, singers, comedians & bingo, staff were always ready to deal with questions or problems. I must give a "shoutout" to our driver with alpha who's name was Russell, he was absolutely 💯% brilliant, when he took us out on our day excursions he kept us entertained with snippets of history for the places we were visiting as well as telling us about places we were travelling through, which made our excursions more interesting, so like having a tour guide on board. So different to other coach companies I've travelled with. This was my first time travelling with Alpha and if all their drivers are like Russell then I look forward to travelling with them . again in the near future .

Ate there for 7 days as part of a half board stay. Evening menu was different every day and was a good selection. Table service a bit erratic due to trying to serve large numbers in a short time. Food fairly simple and quality OK

Went there in October, what a disappointment. The outside was in need of lots of attention. The rooms passable for a stopover, the chairs were like from a works canteen, the TV was high on the wall so if you tried to watch it for more than a few minutes it made your neck ache. The windows were jammed solidly open because of a broken sash cord. If you tried compain about anything we were told to fill out a questionnaire, but you could only get one the evening before you left. Most of the staff were foreign but tried there best especially in the restaurant, where the food was of reasonable quality and hot.

Terrible. Everything looked dirty as it was old. Shower needed a new head. Put us in verranda for our meals like eating in a greenhouse. Awful hotel. Would not recommend it.

Don’t eat there as food is of poor quality and badly presented. Stale smoked haddock, soft biscuits , prawns tasteless and served plain with melon as a starter.

2 night stay at the Queens, friendly attentive reception staff, room spotlessly clean and tidy. Great sea view and location overlooking the English Channel.Breakfast pre ordered, staff all covid compliant and friendly.Given the circumstances we are in with covid the breakfast was good but would imagine far better in different circumstances. Would we use this hotel again .... Yes without doubt.

We been before, so we know its old world and creeky floors and doors. But this time, room was only any good for a sleep over, the chairs were long passed it, the electrics in the room were a joke, good size bathroom but way too old. Breakfast was in the deal, but took one bite of what they called the slimy bits they put on the plate and had to spit it out. The coffee if that is waht it was) was disgusting. Think we will stay somewhere else next time.

We had dinner and only 1 breakfast that was enough for us. You ordered the dinner and breakfast and within minutes it came out. The peas were all dried out the lasagne was dry and crispy at the edges. My husband said the fish made him feel ill all night. Breakfast well if you can call it a full English they are having a laugh. Cheap cheap cheap food. Orange juice is so water down I am surprised it did not look like water, Fried bread was a piece of bread that had been cut into 4 and you got one piece.

Fine hotel very near to the town centre for shops, pubs, restaurants, ect. 2 min walk from the pier. Lot of coach parties with elderly people when I was there which is ok but I would think not suitable for couples with young children, Clean but in need of a update, staff were exceptionally good.

We had travelled to Eastbourne to have afternoon tea at the Victorian Tearoom on the Pier, but they didn't have any scones so we walked across to the Queens Hotel. Well not sure what to say really; what a sad place. We ordered the Queens Tea (half round of ham sandwich, scones with cream and jam and tea) for £5.25 each not a lot of money admittedly. We said we would be on the terrace. The waiter said he would bring them out if he wasn't busy but if he was we would have to fetch it ourselves from where we ordered it.What we thought was the terrace was obviously the smoking area which was in desparate need of sweeping, the rubbish picking up and the metal table and chairs washing. We decided to sit in what we assumed was the Terrace Room and glad to say our order was brought to us, well glad until we saw it. The ham in the half sandwich was the cheapest, thinnest, processed, and I hesitate to use the term meat but, cooked meat. The brown bread also, not the best. The scones were warmed which we think could have been done to 'freshen' because when one of them had cooled down it literally went like a brick and was impossible to finish, the cream had a distinct cheesy taste, which we complained about and got changed. Not sure but I think this hotel is rated as 3 star certainly not a 3 star tea.

An ideal place to stay is the Queens Hotel in Eastbourne, for a Victorian built Hotel it has lasted very well lush carpets throughout reminders of a upmarket cruise liner from the past, all the Staff very helpful and the meals excellent with a wide choice, before going i had read some bad reviews i think they must have been at some other hotel or just awkward old soles that moan about anything, with it being situated near the pier it was central to everywhere with stunning views. I was with the Abacus Coach party.

Había reservado una habitación familiar a un precio asequible. El hotel Queen está situado justo en frente de la playa. Tuvimos un desayuno continental completo, que fue estupendo, y el centro comercial era sólo un 10-12 minutos a pie desde el hotel.

Stayed here when on a coach trip. The hotel was built as a hotel and has large rooms downstairs and lots of smaller rooms if you do not want to sit with the crowd or to find a quiet place if you do not want to listen to the entertainment. Our room was very big with a wonderful view to the pier and down the prom and we did not pay extra for this, room 412. The hotel is one of the Alfa coach company group but there were other people staying there who were not on coach trips. The restaurant was big and you did not feel squashed in. The service was very good and we enjoyed the food. The prom and walk to the main street is flat so suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. They also have a very good stair lift which takes wheel chairs down to the entertainment area or reception. We did not find the entertainment good but that was our opinion many people did enjoy it and have been returning to the hotel year after year. There was plenty of room for motorised scooters and wheel chairs in the reception area.

Having said that, there was some flexibility. For instance, as I don't eat fish, when fish was on the menu I asked for a small salad as a starter and this was provided. The food was good - and if one wanted more it was available. When I was there, both dining rooms were full to bursting and I was placed at a table with seven others. Even though we all got on reasonably well the arrangement wasn't entirely comfortable.Although I did not sample them, bar meals are available. However, I ordered a packed lunch for my journey home and as the orange I requested was missing I do not recommend the packed lunch service at the Queen's.

Came for a weeks stay. Room was very clean & big with a lovely view over the sea. Entertainment most nights after BINGO which was funny. Staff couldn't do enough for you and any request was gladly done. Parking was fantastic and free which was a treat. The food was lovely with plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner. Would definitely come again and recommend.

This is obviously a place that caters for the more mature groups of clientele. We came by it quite by chance and were given a warm welcome. Good service and bar prices in a relaxed environment, that still retains a bit of the old glamour. Not exciting, but pop in for a drink and a bite and it shouldn't disappoint.

Eggs were horrible -- almost inedible. And while we were at breakfast, my husband's ring was stolen from our room... but back to the food. Our eggs tasted like they'd been cooked in vinegar. Bacon was limp, greasy. Toast cold. We left and headed to Portsmouth where we had a lovely early lunch!

We stopped here for a light lunch. The person at reception had his back to us so, after a pause of some time, we politely asked him of we could lunch here. Without turning round he "threw" us a : "behind you in the bar". Speaking directly to a client, be it only for about a bar lunch (that's all that is on offer) was obviously a great inconvenience. Sad!

Only drank in there a few times it’s ok has a pool table and the people are friendly and the barmaid with long blonde curly hair is spot on at her job, definately on the ball and remembers what you drink whoes next to be served and keeps a tidy bar. I think her name is Ali? Met a lovely Scottish lass in there she was so friendly and such fun, had a good evening . 😀

It is a beautiful and traditional hotel near the sea. It has been renovated, it is very clean, it has an elevator, it offers Neflix and also parking facilities. Currently their prices are quite reasonable.
