I would recommend this Wetherspoons to anyone who asks. 1st class experience from the staff to the food. The choice of drinks was as expected excellent.

Bar staff don't give a toss who jumps the queue to get served, they will serve anyone in any order.Possibly the worst Wetherspoon pub I have had the misfortune to visit, The nearby London & Country Wetherspoon pub is far better with better staff.

Was visiting Eastbourne for the weekend and my partner and I wanted a full English to keep us going for the busy day ahead. We arrived at 11.50am to see it was VERY busy, but we managed to get a booth table and quickly set about ordering via the app before the 12pm breakfast cutoff time! Our order went through at 11.59 and it arrived at our table within 20 minutes, which considering how busy they were I was impressed with. I was also very impressed with the price, I had a large breakfast for only £6.59 and free refill coffee for an extra £1.59. That is VERY good value. It was all cooked great, did the job, set us up for the day and was such a great deal that we came back the next day for another one!

Quite a poor wetherspoons. Don't have a lot of the regular ale you would expect, and they don't bother indicating that they are out.

Dirty un cleaned tables .. condiments nearly all empty .. bar staff clearly can’t cope serving on a Saturday afternoon and early evening.. don’t get me started on the ladies toilets either as sanitary bins well and truely over flowing .. no loo rolls .. we complain and was told oh we are under staffed .. bar didn’t have vodkas or wines or some beers .. wwe were told our manager didn’t place the order .. totally disappointed and won’t be returning again to this un pleasant so called pub

It is 5 star not because it is exceptional food or atmosphere but because it is just all-around value for money. Quick, friendly, and helpful staff.

Ordered a small breakfast and a Vegan breakfast , when arrived a large breakfast and small breakfast came , then waited a further 2o mins for breakfast 🤨, and to top it off they charged us for the large and small which was more expensive, and asked for management and never came over to apologise! Even though thr young man got it wrong when Ordered he was all on his own and no-one came to help him

Good service, quicker if you pay on the app. There's the normal great Wetherspoons menu with has something for everyone.

We didn't order food as service is so bad for drinks , miserable staff we decided to eat else where ,as not many people eating says a lot 🤟

Very reasonable price food. Very prompt service with food to table. I liked my food and my friend's food was of good quality. It was a good atmosphere, busy and obviously popular.

Spoons is Spoons, big pub with a large garden and plenty of seats inside and out. Beers is cheap and the food is reasonably priced, but you know what you're getting. Food was served quickly and was hot n tasty. 5 of us all cleared our plates, so it wasn't that bad and we all had different meals. Mixed grill, BBQ smothered chicken, Spicy chicken strips in a basket, ham egg and chips and a vegetarian curry.

Attitude.. the Female staff have an attitude problem, and it stinks. If they have any hope of gaining employment in the big wide world after Uni then I suggest they drop it. Sharpish..

Weathspoons pubs always good value and a pint too. Fish and chips smaller than usual but certainly enough for me Washed down with a pint

Visited a few times during the air show. Staff really good and service excellent. Food as expected from this chain, the added touch of all food bought in a great time and served hot.

A very friendly pub and service was excellent as it was extremely busy, being the airshow weekend. Didn't think it was necessary though for staff to be throwing empty glass bottles into the bins rather than placing them in the bins for recycling. Made me jump more than once. Totally uncalled for.

Payment on the app no longer works (used to be simple with Google Pay). This seems to lead to really long (and unnecessary) queues at the bar, and the staff are overwhelmed.

I was visiting Eastbourne for the first time, although this was not my first Wetherspoons meal...indeed this was my 200th different pub in the chain I had visited. For a landmark visit the pub itself was distinctively average and the food was disappointing. I ordered the sirloin steak with side salad and peppercorn sauce. The steak looked fine but was rather tough and not tender, and the sauce, whilst tasting fine, was completely void of any peppercorns and was more like a peppery gravy than a true peppercorn sauce. The pint of Leffe redeemed the meal and made it overall reasonable value. Service was relatively speedy and functional, nobody came to check if the food was okay etc. Overall it merits a 3-star score at most.

This place has vastly improved since we were here last. Good food, helpful staff and a guest ale which only cost £2.97 a pint. The coffee is a strong one, so it's got "guts", flavour and character to it. Refills of coffee were free, I believe.

Now this is a nice Spoons. Once a garage, it's large, spacious and tastefully decorated. We always pop in here when we visit Eastbourne.

Lovely lively venue, with friendly staff. Our meals were excellent and great value. My husband had the gourmet beef which was tender and tasty and I had the Jalfrazi which was delicious.

Not one of the best Wetherspoons I've visited. Still great value food and drinks. Always busy, and despite its large size, you can't always find a seat. The building has little to show its past life as the Cornfield garage other than a few pics on the wall, unlike some other Wetherspoons I've been to that really seem to celebrate the buildings past.

Been here many times..usually very good...however today small portion of food also cold...coffee machine not working properly...plates left on our table for 40mins after finishing...the place was not busy ..staff more content to be checking their phones...I did mention that my food was cold and all I got was "oh". huge amount of staff that were not particularly busy...but the worst experience ever

Food was good but orders ordered at the same time came out staggered a couple in our group who ordered together , one meal eaten before other arrived and we had to ask for it , loads of staff bringing out meals here there and everywhere may of helped if just one served our table .

There are numerous reasons why not to part with your money at the Wetherspoons Cornfield Garage in Eastbourne, they include having to share your food or drink with the hoards of flies that populate the pub, additionally the pub serves numerous real ales which are poorly kept and served by a team that present the very worst of customer service including having absolutely no interest in the pub goer in front of them instead they are more content to hold conversation with colleagues. The toilets were awful, broken door locks, toilet paper cast everywhere on the ‘water’ soaked floors. The food was lukewarm when it came. Is this worst ‘spoons’ in the country? Probably!!!

Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. Ordered breakfast they forgot to add the bacon went back to the bar to complain got give 4 slices of bacon cooked but out of the fridge went back to the bar a second time the bacon was then blasted in the microwave and was handle like we were totally inconveniences them and it was 11am so not peck breakfast time. Very disappointed

Lovely place grubs nice and beer tastes good

The food was tasty but luke warm, the burger looked like something you'd get from McDonald's and the service wasn't the friendliest. Other than that, it was great!

Breakfast Good and cheap. But the PUB in the morning is always dirty on the floor and tables. The afternoon is a little worse. But I like the breakfast there.

On annual leave in Hastings from Cambridgeshire area. Didn't want junk food so popped into a spoons for jacket spud cheese and beans with a side salad. Great service food was delicious and hot.

Absolute disgraceful management - I’m disabled and I was desperate to charge my mobility scooter as I didnt have enough charge to get me home - I was a paying customer but was told by the sharp tongued manageress that I couldn’t use thier plug socket ( half hour tops ) … she told me I could charge my phone but ( and she was rude in her manner when she said ) NOT THAT THING pointing to my scooter - I understand in general that this wouldn’t be apceptable - but I was desperate and so had to leave the establishment ( ruining my friendly drink with friends ) … I can only say when it comes to customer relations this place is a minus 10 - I’ve worked in the trade many yrs and wouldn’t employ that women to collect glasses let as alone manage a public house of this size …

A nice place to go before a night out. Only trouble is you cannot get served. It is getting a lot better. I now tend to use their app so I don't have to line up and be in a "raffle"as to when I'm going to get served

Meals were not to bad ,I had the small fish &chips the fish was more batter than fish !! some of the staff were fine some didn't look to enthusiastic.

Waited at bar to be served..only for the bar maid to ignore me and serve a Asian male who had just walked to the bar!! When I said I was next the bar maid replied" so what ! I'm serving my fellow Asian!! ..racial profiling at its best!! Lucky enough a white bar maid said I will serve you!!..disgusting customer service !! Racist bar staff

Rubbish, Rubbish and rubbish!!!! After working 40+ years in hospitality the management need to take a GOOD look at this establishment, the bar staff are more concerned about closing down than serving the customers! I was asked to move down the bar to order my drinks ,are you having a bubble don't you realise that IM A PAYING CUSTOMER

I like wetherspoons but was rather disappointed with my small cod and chips this afternoon. The fish was minimal! Tiny little slither of fish. Everything else was OK .

Food good, but all I wanted was 1 egg, 1 bacon and a slice of toast. What arrived was 3 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 toast. Far too much to eat.

Came in for a quick drink and some chips. No Worthingtons, Carlserg or San Miguel. Chips were cold, no mayonnaise and the seating area was disgustingly filthy!!

Lovely staff. Quick service. And cheap as you like. And they do Leffe.

Can be a bit hit and miss ......Most of the staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Although I ordered a pint using the app, received a pint promptly. But it was room temperature and definitely not cold, I took it straight back to the bar only for the barman to imply that I was lying and must have left it before drinking it. Proving that I had only ordered it 5 minutes previous by showing him the order on the app, he took the pint and didn't say anything else to me. Another barman poured me another which was spot on! Second time was an orange juice and lemonade. The orange was a bit weak so asked for a little more orange juice. The reply from the young lady was "I made it myself, it's made to spec, you must've left it so long that the ice has melted." I only wanted a top up and definitely did not need the attitude. Difficult to complain as the majority of staff are fantastic.

My only complaint is watching a guy clean the table with the same brush as the floor and promptly serve food afterwards

Bar staff really need to pay better attention to who is waiting at the bar. We were overlooked for a good 10 minutes while others got served first who turned up after us. Not good enough! Good prices, good food, no dogs allowed sadly.

Worth a visit if in Eastbourne, we visited here whilst away on business. For a weatherspoons food was very nice and hot. Beer was cheaper than weatherspoons in Birmingham. All in all one of the better weatherspoons.

Doesnt feel like a typical spoons. The staff are lovely especially CALLUM and TAYLOR. theyres always someone collecting glasses and wiping tables. The place is spotless. Great place.

Usual wetherspoons, so you know if you like them or not before you go in. Had a mixed grill that was nice and a couple of drinks, no atmosphere as no music was playing

Proper Witherspoon's Plenty of choice of ales & food.

Spoons is a little bit like McDonalds in that you know what you're getting if you order food. Service is a bit impersonal now, particularly if using the app - it doesn't really feel like a proper pub experience. Atmosphere is OK, can get a bit loud when it's busy - but it's nice enough. It's a good place to start your night off and load up on the nicely priced cheap beer before steeling yourself to pay £6.50 a pint elsewhere!

Food excellent for what we paid, there were a lot of hardened drinkers in here but I disregarded that because it's what you expect from a weatherspoon pub.

We visit Eastbourne at least once every year, always booking a room only hotel and having breakfast at Cornfield Garage, often having a dinner as well. We always find a table and the food is reliably good.

Christinas advice was spot on the ramen bowl was great she explained the noodle size as i dont like udon noodles and she was right this bowl was great

I've been to dozens of Weatherspoons around the country. Avoid The Cornfield Garage. The staff were rude and obnoxious and no manners. There were only a dozen customers so it was quiet but not even a smile or a please or thank you from staff members. The food was exceptionally poor compared to other Weatherspoons. Won't be using the Weatherspoons again.

As with all 'Spoons' this one is no exception to having a taken a building and sympathetically themed the interior to match the original use of the building. Not surprisingly, this use to be a garage (car sales and repairs), hence the name. Typical spoons food, i.e. competitively priced and tasty. Cheap drinks, including bottomless hot drinks. Parking nearby is difficult and/or expensive.
