Volks Diner in Brighton and Hove

Great food, great service, great menu. Visit spoiled by the chewing gum on the pavement around the outside tables. Shame! I'd like to go again.

We went in at 11.20 to have lunch but a cocky boy said you will have to wait for 20 minutes before we can onder.then cocky boy said you can order drinks .he kept on calling buddy and rude then when the drinks came he said buddy you can order .in the end we got so fed up with him then walked out.

Poor service, disinterested staff. Food average, no customer service at all. Came by myself, they had one other table outside taken so really quiet. Refused to take my food order whilst I was at the table by myself so I had to take all my things with me to place my order inside. Food came, no cutlery, condiments etc… the other table received their cutlery etc…. Not impressed

Went on day trip to Brighton. Found this place on the seafront after walking for a while. We wanted a full cooked breakfast. It was worth it and the staff were friendly and helpful

Fabulous daytime drinks/snack venue to while away an hour people watching. Staff super attentive food good and reasonably priced. 5 stars from me. I believe it becomes a nightclub in the evening but during daytime suitable for all and would recommend

Stopped by just for a couple of coffees on Sunday morning. Staff polite and friendly. Quite slow service but we weren’t in a rush and staff were always doing something. Shame that when coming on Trip Advisor to leave a positive review I note that the management only respond to complaints and not nice reviews. Seems not saying thank you to loyal customers but arguing with bad tempered ones is odd. That’s an observation after the event though and based on today’s visit alone I would recommend.

We were daytripping to Brighton and wanted a quick sit down for lunch out of the sun. The tent doesn't look much but the food was excellent. I had the halloumi pitta and the tzatziki was excellent and the waiter good too.

We were at an event at Volks Bar and the food looked so good on another table that we decided to stay and eat. Good selection of snacks, light meals & sharing platters. The food arrived prompt, well presented and looked a tested fresh, tasty and delicious. I had chicken kebab with pitta, salad & dips ~ highly recommended. My husband had tuna melt on Bagels, he said was delicious. Definitely eat here again. Great seafront location now that traffic is not able to go through Maderia Drive.

Had to flag down a waitress to ask their CV19 procedure , we sat at a table for a full 10 mins without as much as a drinks menu only to be ignored as chairs where pushed under other tables . I wouldn’t of minded but we where the ONLY people in the establishment!! Don’t & wont bother again

this place offers eat in or takeaway snacks and drinks in a small seating area attached to the station. there is som interesting facts displayed.

Was here with my husband & 2 little ones. I had the chicken kebab which was really tasty and also well presented. Hubby had the biggest burger on the menu (obviously!) the Mega Burger. It looked really good and he said tasted same, well cooked proper burger & comes with generous portion of fries. My eldest had one of the regular burgers and my other one had one of the kids meals which is ok value for £4.50 including a drink. Staff were really helpful also, making sure we had everything we needed. Nice place, would recommend.

I stoped there and had scampi with fries and a coffee. Good food and a reasonable prize. Tastes well and good service.

Go here quite a lot over the summer, great place to go for a decent breakfast and coffee is really good too. Chef is a nice guy and staff friendly. Was here yesterday and had the Volks Breakfast which waas loveley and comes with a Free tea or coffee on weekdays.

First time visit to Brighton. Enjoyed a quick yummy lunch of smoked salmon bagels & chips with my mum. Good value for money. The male employee working behind the till on Mon July 29th was really friendly. Thank you :)

Fui aquí para comprar helados para la familia, ordené 4 helados @ 2. 30 cada uno y pidió un cono de bebé (una pequeña gota de helado en una corneta) para el bebé; me dijeron que podía hacerlo pero que me cobraría el precio completo. ¡Indignante!

Sensational cocktails (buy one get one free 1730-1930) excellent music at a volume where you can still talk and the gorgeous sea front to look at. This place is wonderful. Highly recommended 😺

Had excellent sausage baguettes and tuna mayo baguette in the sunshine, watching the pier and the zip-wire. Outside of building nothing to write home about, but staff friendly and helpful.

Comí desayuno inglés 7. 50. Muy bien cocinado, porciones justas y buen precio para una ubicación privilegiada frente al mar cerca del muelle y el acuario. La mayoría de los asientos están fuera. El personal muy amable. Tiene baños propios en el club de al lado, pero también locales públicos gratuitos cerca (una rareza en Brighton ahora ... gracias Green Party). Definitivamente volveré.

El sábado hicimos un paseo en bicicleta por el camino de Madeira para recoger nuestros paquetes de registro para el viaje de Brighton 50 k.Después de explorar el cercano pueblo de Marathon, estábamos buscando algo de almuerzo.Estaba amenazando con llover, por lo que los asientos al aire libre cubiertos del Volks Diner fueron sin duda una atracción, a pesar de que hacía mucho frío.Solo estábamos eligiendo un asiento para tomar un café rápido y correr cuando un miembro del personal (¿creo que era el chef tal vez?) Se acercó y dijo que íbamos a sacar las bicicletas adentro y ponerlas en la esquina mientras comíamos.Eso selló el trato para nosotros, estaban dispuestos a satisfacer nuestras necesidades, así que estábamos enTerminamos comiendo hamburguesas y café, la comida era exactamente lo que buscábamos, nos llenamos con calor y un precio justo, y disfrutamos de nuestro almuerzo dentro, lejos del frío y la lluvia. Las hamburguesas eran buenas, buenas empanadas, el café era grande y también bueno.Incluso noté que el personal encontraba una mesa y sillas adicionales para acomodar a otras personas. Claramente el servicio al cliente no es un problema aquí.Es un lugar tipo cafetería / bar / club, tengo la impresión de que es un lugar nocturno bastante concurrido, como tal, nunca se duplicará como una especie de excelente restaurante durante el día. Pero no hay nada de malo en eso, quería un lugar para satisfacer mis necesidades, darme una opción de comida caliente a un precio justo, junto con un buen servicio y eso es exactamente lo que recibí.

Sobre precios para la calidad de la comida, kebab es un cachondeo total. Ni siquiera considerar este lugar. mi marido pidió su gran taza de chocolate caliente. No es aún lo suficientemente grande como para ser de tamaño normal.

Estábamos cansados y necesitábamos un lugar cerca para comer. La comida era mucho estilo "chippy". Congelados y climatizada, patatas fritas, pizzas, etc.Lugar era bastante sucio por dentro. Creo que es un concurrido club nocturno por la noche, así que probablemente no verá la decoración en la oscuridad.No volvería.

We were here on Saturday for the Modfest. We ordered various items, including sharer plates. Was very happy with the food we got, and under the circumstances of just how many people there were there, the 2 guys in the kitchen did a fantastic job.

Kebab de pollo y que no os molestéis. bebidas grande no está aún lo suficientemente grande como para ser de tamaño normal. Té, chocolate caliente, pescado y patatas fritas y un kebab por casi 20 libras no peor. Segunda vez en Brighton, y de estar en este lugar es el único uno malo. El chico allí es agradable, pero el resto del personal. nah

Muy rica comida, solo que un poco picante para los que no están acostumbrados a ese tipo de comidas.

O pescado, o helado o donuts. Quiero una taza de té. Y Volks, junto con que suministra un bocadillo sandwich, que era todo lo que quería. Cada lugar estaba sirviendo la comida junto al mar, en alguna forma, quizás estaban en el lugar equivocado, pero era donde estábamos.

Después de haber probado el plato de mariscos antes de volver. Cuatro de nosotros fuimos esta vez así que pedimos el plato grande para compartir, no nos decepcionó. En la foto de la fuente y se puede ver cómo hay mucha comida en el plato. Incluso con cuatro de nosotros comíamos en no pude terminar! Muy buena calidad scampi, calamares, langostinos y excelente cod chuleteros (eran demasiado grandes para ser llamado goujons). Todo por menos de £10?

Visitamos hace un año con nuestro hijo adolescente autista, ya que es muy cerca del Brighton Eye, nos podíamos sentar fuera y el menú tenía elementos que pudimos combinar para el gusto de nuestro hijo.

Fin de semana de comodidades en Brighton - colas larguísimas por todas partes, pero se sirve en Volks en menos de 4 minutos. Cerveza a precios razonables (3,60 libras por lager) muy buena comida recién cocinada a la orden (ninguno de los cuidados cálido todo el porquería al día). El personal hace un esfuerzo adicional. Fabuloso!

We ordered 3 sandwiches , 2 coffees and a cold drink The food took about half hour to arrive which is not acceptable for a bacon sandwich and the coffees had been forgotten and took 45 minutes.. Although it was tasty it was very greasy. The worst bid was my wife found a lump of metal in her bacon sandwich. She was given her money back but would not eat there again. The coffee however was very good

called here for something to eat and drink ,tables were dirty,litter on the floor chef delivered from kitchen to tables in grubby outfit

Worst breakfast I have ever had, incredibly small portions,which were definitely not worth the price paid for, and really greasy food. The staff are very unpleasant and ignorant and the food is just terrible, I didn't even want to eat my breakfast which I paid £6.25 for which didn't even fill me up the slightest. I honestly wouldn't never recommend this so called 'diner' to anyone.

Stopped after motorbike ride. Nice sunny Day, had a coffee and a bowl of chips. Excellent value nicely cooked, service quick. It is what it is - a seaside café but decent enough. One negative, salt pot was sticky - give em a wipe!

August bank holiday at the Volts Bar is a Mods mecca.Fabulous breakfast & fresh coffee. Large bar area and lots of outside tables & chairsBrilliant location on the seafront and opposite the Big Wheel.

We live near Brighton and popped down mid Sunday morning for brunch and a walk along the front. This was closest to the pier walking toward the marina and was advertising all day breakfast.We ordered four full breakfasts, all with slightly different requests. The chef (owner?) was very accommodating and we sat down outside in the sun whilst everything was cooked fresh. The food was nicely cooked, hot and fresh! With teas it worked out at £7.50 a head. We would go back.
