Oddsocks Brighton in Brighton and Hove

Had some issues with my order being forgotten; but the staff were brilliant in sorting it and got me a complimentary drink whilst I was waiting. Very tasty pizza and it was huge!

Pleasant place for a few drinks. Reasonably priced with friendly staff and a quiet relaxed atmosphere.

On arrival we ordered two cocktails from the cocktail menu. We were told they couldn't make them because they didn't have the ingredients and offered us a malibu and coke??! I ended up with a mediocre wine and my missus had water, which was overpriced. My meal of spaghetti meatballs was OK, 3 stars but my girlfriends pulled beef lasagne was awful. There was no meat, just sloppy ragu. And the first foccacia she received was just warmed up left over sourdough from breakfast. This was replaced with actual focaccia when we complained but that was ridiculous. Also received 20% off the food bill, but that did not satisfy us.

Staying at the hotel and popped into Oddsocks for dinner. All of the food was very tasty, great flavours and good sized portions. The peppercorn sauce was excellent, the sweet potato fries the best I've had and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The Superfood salad is a must try - best dish on the table! Well worth a visit.

Nice atmosphere for chilling out with a drink or two. Seating areas were nice and bright and clean. Nice to watch the world go by and people watch.

Pleasantly surprised that the food was of a very good standard. The burger was definitely not an Iceland burger as suggested in a previous review, I accept that it is unlikely to win any awards but it was actually a pretty decent burger and was as described. I would say that the food is a little overpriced but would bot say that it is extortionate for what you get. Staff were pleasant and there were no complaints from the other meals so we had a nice experience here so thank you

Great service, good location, and good food. I had the pulled smoked pork focaccia. Good portion of sandwich and fries. Highly recommend this gem. The menus new and the food is delicious. Give em a try you won't be disappointed

I will not be staying at Jurys Inn on Stroudley Road ever again, the staff at the bar and restaurant are just doing their own jobs as if customers didn't exist. Everything seemed to be too much for them. We went to the restaurant for breakfast at 10am (an hour before breakfast was to finish) to find almost everything had run out, no fruit juice, a lot of hot food missing, no mugs, no glasses, no bowls. Asking for something was difficult as staff were avoiding eye contact and trying to get through their shift without too much hindrance from customers.

Travelled down to see our son who attends Brighton Uni, staying in the Jury’s as we have stayed before and the rooms are nice . Decided to have something to eat in the on-site odd socks restaurant, big mistake , menu sparse and expensive. Decided on the cheeseburgers priced at £17 each, out came a burger and a bowl of chips . As soon as I bit into it I could taste the fat , god it was awful , I wish I stopped in maccies they are far better and a third of the price . I am not a complainer, but would not eat here again even if it was free. Gave feedback to the duty manager of the hotel who offered us a free meal , we declined so she gave us a £17 refund . £8.50 for each for that rubbish , never again .

Stayed at the hotel and had a very expensive night cap in the bar. Paid nearly £27 for a double gin and tonic and a double rum and coke! London prices gone mad! Felt properly ripped off!

Frozen food!! The fish fillet was so hard on the outside but still abit cold inside. I stopped eating when I got to the centre. I don't understand why anywhere in Brighton would need to sell frozen fish 😟

The resturtant was nice and clean. It was clear however that they were short staffed. We waited very long for service. I wasn't impressed with the over cooked birds eye cod fillet for £12. It was disappointing because we are so close to the sea. In the end we got a 50% discount. The kids meal was great though.

Great attention to detail from staff at the bar, I had a wonderful rhubarb and ginger gin and tonic which was served with a thin sliver of fresh ginger, it was fab. Plenty of seating options in the bar, a couple of screens too so you can see the news if you need it, plenty of peculiar attractions to look at too! Wonderful during this delicate time for all travellers to see hand sanitiser at strategic places along the bar for staff and customers alike.

Lovely place with nice sitting areas. We tried the sides, the nacho was really good. Prices fit the portion size. The only bad thing was the hummus, dry and coarse and bland.

Fantastic breakfast more choice than we have ever had in any of the hotels we have stayed at and great chips. The drink prices are also very reasonable, cheaper than the Brighton Centre

Children loved the pizza, yummy chicken, very good nibbles. Excellent dinner for a reasonable price.

Oddsocks was the perfect find on a gloomy day. The couches were super comfortable, there were books to help pass the time, the sweet potato chips were very delicious and Ana was very kind to us and helped us plan the rest of day while always making sure our table was taken care of.

Strange name for an eatery and to be honest, not much for views. Very spacious though and the food I had was delicious, though the fresh garlic on the garlic bread was a little OTT.

Maria Garcia and all the staff at Oddsocks were absolutely fantastic. Its worth visiting for them alone

Had a great salmon meal at bar whilst staying at Jurys Inn Hotel. Tasty. Informal pleasant surroundings. Highly recommend 10/10.

The worst restaurant experience we ever had in the UK. The starter came together with the mains, the burger was cold and service just bad... The staff was friendly, but that’s the only positive aspect... never again!

Didnt eat but menu looked varied and very reasonably priced. The meals coming out of the kitchen looked lovely. Lady behind the bar was very smiley and pleasant too.

Waited 30 mins for our order to be taken. Food then took another 45 mins to arrive. Two out of four dishes arrived, the other two followed 15mins later. The last two to arrive was macaroni cheese. Without doubt the worst any of us had tasted. The waitress was informed (we managed 2 forkfuls at best). I was amazed to see both on the bill. Paid up and left

Had Christmas party there, food was sub standard. Also had breakfast there, it was just about okay.

Overall, this is a classy and cozy place, friendly service, where the staff wants to do everything for their customers. Nice food at a good price

Stayed at Jurys which was fine until we decided to eat in Oddsocks. Waited over an hour for our food having been ignored for 30 mins before we ordered. The hour included waiting for the drinks we ordered. When it arrived the mains came with the starters and they forgot one of the mains. The food was terrible tasted like warmed up frozen food. After the meal they wrote down my complaint and took my room number. I presumed they would not charge me or something but I didn't hear anything from them and they charged me in full. The service was a complete joke and the food was terrible. Really disappointed!

Went with my son who lives close by. New menu had just started that day. Had the chicken (leg and thigh). Lovely crispy skin on the chicken, chips, slaw and veg. Would call in now and again when visiting. Helpful staff, no loud music. Would visit again.

Well cooked food, served with enthusiasm. Can recommend the Cottage Pie! Annex was a very helpful and friendly waitress

This restaurant is within the Jury's Inn (stroudely rd). The first night I arrived late and opted for the steak & chips with peppercorn sauce. I was greeted by friendly staff and they advised I could eat the same menu in the bar or restaurant. The bar was cosy with lots of sofas so I selected that option. The menus were given and order taken promptly. The food arrived quickly and was nice and hot. The meat was tender and juicy with a peppercorn sauce on the side with hot thick cut chips - delicious. Due to that experience I decided to dine here on my 2nd night. I had the Cobb Salad which was fresh and had a plentiful selection of crunchy vegetables and blue cheese. I also had some succulent rotisserie chicken on top. Both nights the food and service were of a high quality at very reasonable prices. I would return if staying in Brighton again.

Staff really helpful for me as gluten free diner. Had a delicious healthy green salad - the portion was enormous. I had stuffed potato skins to start.

Our waiter Marcus was friendly, helpful & extremely knowledgeable. The food is of the highest quality & you do get a lot. We recommend the picnic sharer & pudding sharers - to die for. We will return.

We had a voucher giving 50% off of food and drink. Had 2 steaks and chicken together with beer, wine and g&t; and got the 50% reduction. Good service and great value and will be back.

This was a works drinks event and we had already planned ahead and pre ordered some sharing dishes. Sergio was amazing. He found us a nice area where our group could all be together and set up somewhere for the food to layed in a buffet style.

This is the restaurant in the Jurys Inn right by the Brighton train station. It is not worth going there if you're not staying at the hotel, especially given all the great restaurants in Brighton. However, if you are staying at the hotel and just too tired to go out for dinner, it is a great option. The food is good, reasonably priced, and the service was fantastic.

This is actually the restaurant in the Jury's inn, the table area is a bit cafe like rather than a restaurant and i thought the men was limited and expensive for what it was, an average steak was £22 which i thought was a lot for a more pub food restaurant.

Covers all sorts of dietary needs and have never seen so much choice at a buffet breakfast. All very fresh and nicely cooked.
