Excellent pub in the centre of Wonersh. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Attentive and polite and quite happy to accommodate a huge birthday cake I had brought along. Good food and prices.

Nine of us from 9 to 86 enjoyed the sunday lunch at this popular pub/restaurant. We arrived early for our 12.30 booking and our orders for drinks and then food were taken promptly while the restaurant was still quiet, our food arrived quickly and we were all served together by the friendly efficient staff. The meals were enjoyed by everyone and were hot and nicely presented when the bill came service was included, bu then the restaurant wa full and quiet but not lacking in atmosphere in any way. Our only slight down side was the selection of desserts which lacked variety and any fresh fruit. Overall a good choice but booking is clearly essential.

Great meal with great service but felt staff could have been increased. But they were great and fun!!!! Breakfast was busy but only Alisia - hope that is correct - on and as she only had a short night from a late finish, very unfair. Hotel a little tired but as clean as the staff can do.

The quality and the variety of flavours within all of the food were both excellent and original on the couple of occasions we have eaten there, and surprisingly good value too. The garden setting amongst the trees with views of the pond is idyllic, especially on a sunny day, and the experience is really enhanced by the great choice of chilled out music playing in the background. The food and the ambience were combined with a genuinely warm welcome and a truly authentic approach to excellent service. PS The Soufflé is absolutely delicious.

I stayed here with my daughter while walking the coast path. The pub is in the centre of the village and very convenient. The room was a good size and clean. We had the family room as there aren't any twin bedrooms. The bathroom was very nice, with both a claw foot bath and a large shower cubicle.

I’m relieved to see this establishment has closed its doors. My experience there was one of the worst I've ever encountered, especially considering I live in the area and never expected to face such blatant racism in my own community. The owners, Jimmy and Carol, were never friendly right from the start, and it's astonishing that they managed to operate this restaurant for so long. I had often walked past it without giving it much thought, but this time I was with a few friends and thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately, the way we were treated was nothing short of appalling. We stood in the middle of the dining area for at least 15 minutes without even a greeting. It’s hard to believe they could miss us, as there were four of us waiting. The waitstaff glanced at us several times but never made the effort to approach. I can’t help but wonder if our Asian descent played a role in their indifference. Despite the available seating, we chose to wait out of respect. I sincerely hope they never reopen a restaurant. If they do, I hope they learn a valuable lesson in customer service.

The Sunday roast was £16.50, with only two choices, roast beef, lamb or mixed. But when the young girl brought over the roasts, she mixed up the order. The service could be improved. It was a large portion with vegetables. The Yorkshire pudding on one of the roasts were burnt. It was very busy with a lot of locals, we were lucky to get a table at 2pm walk in, with no booking.
