This was a spontaneous late lunch with a friend and wow was it a super pleasant experience! The staff were fantastic and really professional and gave us a warm welcome. The chef is clearly highly skilled as the lunch was one of my best pub experiences in the area! Thank you very much and I’ll be back very soon.

The best Sunday roast I've had in a really long time. Everything was delicious, especially the cauliflower cheese. Kids fish and chips were generous portions. We didn't need pudding but glad we went for it, the sticky toffee pud was perfect. Staff were all over it on a busy Sunday and really kind to our very chatty toddlers.

Superb Sunday Lunch! Hadn't booked so were really lucky to get a table. From the moment we arrived, the lovely warm and friendly atmosphere hit us - from the attentive and courteous waiting staff, to the Manager - it was faultless. We both went for the Slow cooked Pork Sunday Roast with all the trimmings/extras - melt in the mouth, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented - incredibly generous portions. Puddings were equally delicious. We were first time visitors to The Belgian Arms - but have every intention of making this a regular Sunday treat. Just fantastic.

We had booked this pub for a birthday lunch for our son. Unfortunately, due to roadworks, we were running 10 minutes late. We called the venue to let them know that we would be a little late and we were told that the table would be needed 1 hour and 3/4 after the time of our original booking. We do not recall ever being allocated a table for less than 2 hours but we said that it would be fine if the service was not too slow. Unfortunately, the service was slow, very slow. When desert menus were finally brought to our table, our waitress made us feel like it would be inconvenient if we ordered deserts so we felt that we had no choice but to cut our meal short. Please note that the reason we did not finish our mains earlier was the slow service, not our lateness. The scoth eggs were delicious but, sadly, after this experience, we will not be coming back.

Visited with a friend on September 30th. for a beer and a ‘catch up’. Excellent beer and a very attractive pub but disappointed not to see a lunchtime sandwich menu. Decided to have the two course meal for the set price of £25. The soup was superb but the fish and chips very disappointing. Either the batter or fish undercooked but both of us were queezy and unwell in the evening. To add insult to injury I checked the bill later and found that we had been charged the full menu price for each course rather than the 2 for £25. Our first visit……and perhaps our last!

We came here for the first time for my partner’s birthday and had an absolutely amazing dinner. Everything was superb, the cheese soufflé was the standout item amongst a meal of delicious dishes. The cocktails and wine selection were great too. The pub itself is cosy, beautifully decorated and the service was exceptional. The manager was very welcoming and clearly passionate about food! Food was excellent. Service was spot on. The only thing was when coming to pay the bill. There was 5 of us, lunch time, 4 of us had our lunch from the set the lunch time menu, 2 for £25, 3 for 30, 3 had the 2 for £25 1 had the 3 for 30 the bill did not reflect this and wanted to over charge us on the 3 for £30 by over £6.00. The manager had to take over on trying to sort this out as she didn't really believe us, personally we believe that their system couldn't work it out. She had to just give us a managers discount in the end as she couldn't work it out.

On a sunny Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of stopping by The Belgian Arms for a lunchtime meeting. Nestled by a charming village green, this historic pub offers a delightful garden terrace, perfect for enjoying a meal in the warmth of the sun. Despite a brief delay in service due to a health and safety inspection—where were reliably informed the kitchen earned a full five-star rating—we were more than satisfied with our experience. We began with the onion and cider soup, a dish that immediately impressed. Rich, flavorful, and accompanied by warm cob bread, it set the tone for a memorable meal. My companion, who required a gluten-free option, was equally pleased with the alternative bread provided—attentive service that didn’t go unnoticed. For the main course, I opted for the duck leg salad, which was nothing short of amazing. The meat was perfectly tender, falling off the bone, and the salad itself was a stunning accompaniment, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. It’s a dish I’ll definitely return for and one I highly recommend to anyone visiting. My companion chose the chicken dish, which was not only very well presented but also thoroughly enjoyed—there wasn’t a morsel left on the plate by the end. In summary, The Belgian Arms is a gem. With its historic charm, lovely garden, and attentive staff, it offers a dining experience that’s hard to beat. The food is excellent, the wines selection varied, and the ambiance perfect for a relaxed, yet refined meal. It’s no wonder this spot earns a full five out of five stars from me. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s a must-visit off the beaten track.

We usually go for the Sunday roast bur we had our grandson to stay and he wanted to go again as it’s his favourite place in the Maidenhead area. He was not disappointed as he said his fish and chips from the children’s menu was the best he had ever had. My choice was not so good but it was hard to choose because of an allergy I have. Tucked away in Holyport lies The Belgian Arms. This hidden gem of a restaurant offers an extraordinary dining experience that both tantalizes the taste buds and soothes the soul. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a lovely relaxing atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The service is second to none, with staff members like Luke who go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels special. His attention to detail and warm hospitality are simply amazing. The menu is a parade of perfection, but the stars of the show are undoubtedly the scotch egg, the wellington, and the chocolate fondant. Each dish is crafted with the utmost care and presented with a flair that speaks to the incredible talent of Dan, the chef. His creations showcase a masterful blend of flavours and textures. The Belgian Arms is simply a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. Food was incredible.....but there were some let downs. I personally don't like it when you have to order side dishes to makes up the veg in your plate. It annoys me as you never know this until the plate arrives. I did ask what was the portion size like, I was told it was pretty large. I do agree with that statement but the only veg was 3 asparagus spears which makes it all feel very unhealthy and at that price point, I do expect a reasonable away of veg, or it to be abundantly clear you will need other veg. As much as the argument may well be that I did get what was on the menu, rarely does anyone list all plated items so rarely do you know the veg coming so that was disappointing. We were also sat in a table where we had to ask to get past people everytime we wanted to get up for anything. The waitress had to do this the most, but it just felt awkward and uncomfortable. I'm fine with that if in for a drink in a packed place and, but not when eating a meal. It felt far nicer when that table was clear but it rarely was clear Also no music at all.....some background music would have been nice. But the food we ate was lovely. Please could you make it clearer that side veg is required or just please add a few more veg to the main, and maybe make sure that table that blocks the table you put us on only has 2 seats there.....if we were over weight I think it would have been really embarrassing as we really had to squeeze by and that was uncomfortable enough....
