What a lovely find. Despite numerous visits to the New Forest, this was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. Delicious home made sausage roll and coronation chicken jacket potato. Both delicious and very generous portions. The staff are amazing and their love for their job shines through. Thank you - we will return.

Great friendly service and lovely food! Sally & Kieran were good servers and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had the full rack of ribs and the 1983 combo. We loved the cornbread cubes with hot honey. Very yummy. All good, and will return.

Friendly staff although not hugely attentive given it was a quiet time. Good atmosphere. Menu was so boring. When I eat out I’d like to see some interesting options that wouldn’t make or buy for home. Reasonable portion size. Pudding portion was a joke - fit for children. I dont usually order a pudding but to receive the tiniest square of sponge served on a huge plate is an insult honestly !!

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 & 11 we ordered the mighty chicken dish from the kids menu with rice and baked beans, the rice was hard and dry and the chicken was dry over seasoned heavy on the pepper. This meal was for a 9 year old and we sent it back. The manager didn’t seem bothered by the fact this meal was served to a child and said that’s how it comes. Poor service poor attitude not what I usually experience at a Harvesters.

Really nice pub and vibe overall. Been many times and will continue to do so. One star removed because we came for the quiz on Monday 2nd June and it was just too long. It was meant to start at 7pm but didn't start until much later. The breaks between rounds were too long. We didn't finish until 10pm. Late start aside, I don't feel this is the right length for chill Monday evening quiz. Two teams left during the event! It felt a little like they were stretching it out to encourage people to buy more food and drink. It was fun, and the host is lovely. It just needs to be a lot tighter and quicker.

Popped in on way to barry island with my 7mnth old grandson..lovely sunny day untill I went to change him in baby changing room ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING...Easter Sunday?? Could tell bingo hadn't been emptied for weeks whole room was disgusting..dirty and 100% not sanitized..had to walk 2 Miles to change a unhappy baby..glad I did not eat there..when I asked manager if that was only baby changing facility response I had was yes..told her it was disgusting but she obv did not care..I advise people if you got babies stay away!! . Ladies toilet was not that good either...dread to think what kitchen is like urrghh

My elderly Mother recently moved house in Fareham, so we needed somewhere for Sunday lunch for a few weekends whilst we helped her to move. In the end, we had three Sunday lunches during the month. Every roast dinner was very good, well cooked, nice portions and very well priced. All the staff are very helpful, and we will definitely be back for another Sunday roast.

Whilst the food was nice, once it arrived that is, the service was very poor, due to the lack of staff over all it took over 3 hours to complete our meal and we sat for about 10 minutes with our main courses on the table on serving trays and had to ask for plates and cutlery, we ended up getting the cutlery off an another table. The food ended up being cold, they did take the steak if the bill along with the service charge. The young lady that served us was very pleasant but was clearly new at the job and was t really supported properly by her colleagues. Several of our first choices were unavailable too, it was steak night and they had run out at lunchtime of what appeared to be the more popular choices. We are all used to fine dining and don't mind paying for it, but £50 for a bottle of wine that normally retails for £16 seemed to me to be somewhat if an excessive margin. I know pubs need to make a profit but they need to factor in value for money into the equation to encourage customers to come back. There are several pubs in the area offering a similar if not better experience for half the price When we expressed our concerns and the managers reply was "dont come back then" and I can ensure him that we won't. Several of our friends had cautionary tales about this venue, and we should have paid more attention. The service issues here seem to be a common theme, and dont expect to get parked here either the car park is very small.
