Burger 2 4 1 Thursdays, unexpected treat when we had lunch here. Nice local pub

Not much good food. On smash avacado instead of pickled onions they gave normal red onion and the eggs were not cooked properly even after giving specific instructions that we want it well cooked. The chicken of twisted club was chewy had to throw the remaining as it was not eatable. Fries weren’t tasting fresh and water drinking glasses were stinking. Overall ambience was good. Staff was good but just food not worth.

We have just returned from our first trip to The Bush Inn at Ovington, and we’re very happy, thank you. The food was delicious, the service (Leo and the two female staff) was excellent and the atmosphere was welcoming too. Pick of the main courses were Steak and Ale pie, Haddock and chips, and the children’s Burger. Prices were reasonable and the selection of food was excellent. We will definitely be back, probably in the warmer weather, when we can use the large beer garden. Keep up the good work and thanks again.

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The servers at dinner and breakfast were Liz, Shell and Mikey and they couldn’t do enough for you. Both meals were nice and well cooked, thanks Luke.

Stopped here on our way to our holiday cottage . Nice pub with friendly staff. Food was good and service swift. Service charge was added to the bill ( 10 %) which I am not in favour of but will be taken off on request which I did but still tipped the waitress. Would use again.

This is without doubt the worst place I've ever eaten in Witney. It's a child friendly place and is advertised as such but it's like a creche. Noisy unpleasant atmosphere. However that would not have mattered so much had the food been worth it. I came here for lunch with a friend for the first time and we ordered one mezze salad bowl and one chicken bacon and avocado salad bowl coming to about £25. Very small portions for a main course. Literally thrown together, a few leaves, a drizzle of dressing a miserable amount of dry tiny chicken pieces, salad was mainly rocket....bacon was not crisp but more fatty, hardly any avocado. The mezze bowl looked unspeakably unappetising. Just .....awful. It actually looked like leftovers waiting to be scraped into the bin. My friend had paid and she is not local to Witney so I was totally embarrassed. When she went to the loo a chap came to clear our plates and asked if our food had been OK. I told him absolutely not , it was very poor and stated why. No offer of any reduction just the standard trot out line " I'll make sure the chef is informed......" Like the " chef " would give a toot. If they did care about the food they wouldn't send rubbish like this out. I would not eat here again. Not a chance. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and I will not try a place again who display such poor customer care and think this standard of food is even remotely acceptable. In future I'll have a salad in the Angel further along where I can get a beautiful freshly put together salad with some actual meat in it for around half the price.

Our dinner was average the service was good and the food was poor. I feel if it was not for the location the pub would be struggling. Limited menu and expensive at central London prices. Poor value would not repeat. In contrast the Dorset Arms at Withyham which I visited the day before offered much better food at realistic prices.

Always excellent service and amazing food ! We love this sea front restaurant which is also dog friendly outside , it got chilly outside and they provided us with blankets .

We didn't have a booking but luckily they could offer us a 'high table' which was fine. Very helpful staff, varied menu (mainly seafood) and wine list. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait too long.

We recently held my mothers wake at the Lamb Inn and I’m so glad we did, being right next to the church it was super convenient, and our hosts Matt and Rosie were so helpful and accommodating, very easy to deal with, nothing was too much trouble, just a truly delightful couple. The pub was immaculately clean, the fires were lit and the whole place felt cosy and homely. The food they provided was delicious and plentiful and if that is anything to go by, we will definitely be back for Sunday lunch. Thank you Matt and Rosie, my family and I wish you every success for the future.

Booked for Fri night dinner here. Was given a table in the bar area, along with the Fri night after work drinkers. Unfortunately the guy on the table next to us was watching X-rated videos on his phone with Hugh volume. Gum chewing waitress took our order. We were worried it wasn’t going to go well from here. Fortunately our food was very good, very flavoursome, fresh and tasty. Unfortunately they then forgot about us. Weren’t offered desert, and had to ask for our bill. Great for food, could do better on service.

So hotel is fine, basic but great and convienient we were greeted by friendly receptionist and booked in , no issues parked the car went to the restaurant and then we met Giovanna who is apparently “the manager” I had the katsu curry and said that the curry sauce was very sparse and asked if it was possible to have a small additional amount, Giovanna said that she was willing to charge me for an extra “sachet “ I mean I know it’s not fine dining but a sachet on some nuggets surely you could do better…how lucky was I .. we declined her offer…My partners meal arrived minus the coleslaw, when it came to the bill I told Giovanna that we would request the cost of the coleslaw back as she had suggested we paid for the additional curry sauce we thought that fair. We told Giovanna her staff had been amazing she said she trained them all, we later discovered this was untrue she had actually just showed them around Giovanna was rude and obnoxious and is in no way a manager of any level, carried by an overworked unappreciated staff she hides away tries to cream credit which she does not deserve and leaves a bitter taste which is just slightly worse than the microwaved offerings on the flip side our server Anita was amazing we would visit again just for her service and smile and many of the other staff work with her, Anita is an exceptional example of excellent service we told Giovanna she could learn a lot from Anita… she sniffed and looked down her nose needless to say the cost the cost of the missing coleslaw was added to the tip and went straight to Anita’s tip, look out for her Anita is a star ..
