our first visit and probably the last..we had the lamp for Sunday lunch.. couldn't fault the lamb (usual amount of fat for lamb then all we had was 3 small roast potatoes covered in greese, a slither of carrot and slither of parsnip, carrot was cooked in something i didn't like, parsnip was hard, then there was the small bowl of leek!! I cannot eat onions so went without the leek. I was offered some cabbage instead in fairness but refused thinking i would have eaten whats on my plate before it came. The Manager was extremely apologetic and polite but plain old boiled potatoes, peas and cabbage would have made the meal delicious - And not having to put up with other people's dog panting beneath the tables whilst I am eating would be better - sorry cant see us returning..

I’m an infrequent visitor to this pub (about three or four times a year when passing through on my narrowboat.) I love it. The staff (and locals) are friendly and welcoming. The beer is kept well. I was disappointed that they were not serving food on a Wednesday evening. Having said that they provided me with a takeaway menu for an Indian restaurant which they recommended and provided me with a plate to eat from. Smashing. Thanks - will see you next time I pass through.

Was shocked at the prices to start with, thought, its got some good reviews will give it a ago while in the area. I'm a bit fussy and don't like beans or tomato, so asked for hash browns instead as they don't come with the breakfast (another thing I was shocked about considering the price they didn't come as standard on the hunger breakfast). Was charged for the one hash brown they gave. Personally I thought very expensive for what it is and quite greasy. However gave 2 starts as the sausages were lovely. People walking in top less, thought they'd at least be asked to put a shirt on. Would I come here again? No. We don't live in the area so maybe local prices are all like this. But in Tidworth, you'd pay £8-£9 and can get an all you can eat breakfast with drinks for £11.

Owing to the long term owner selling the freehold the pub is in new ownership and is now closed at present until they have completed their refurb. This pub has had a few ups and downs like most pubs these days but i am hopeful that once established will become the local asset again. Their website was down as a result of the change.

Four of us popped into The Exchange for the first time for a bite of lunch and as they say first impressions count and we were immediately taken by the cleanliness and style of the whole area . The menu was wide ranging for our needs and chose four different dishes which were all generous and nicely cooked and presented . All at a reasonable cost , topped with some pleasant customer service too . All in all it could brightened up a dull day and will no doubt visit again when in Romsey.

He estado aquí muchas veces y nunca deja de complacer! Hacen un gran desayuno vegetariano (¡también hay opciones de animales muertos!) y tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. Cuando hace buen tiempo, siéntese afuera y observe/escuche a la multitud de personas en la calle de abajo.

Was not the best experience with dinner ...took my wife and was truly let down with the whole traditional pub hype. The food was not up to scratch for the price of each dish..my wife had hunters chicken wich came with a 2 inch thick layer of cheese and chips wich where totally cooked through to the point of them being a horrid brown colour...my mix grill was horrid the meat assortment was not cooked to edable standard and was swimming in fat also chips yet again cooked to within an each of edable...the egg wasn't even cooked properly so if you don't want to waist hard earned money give this slum a miss...over priced drinks over cooked food a total let down of an establishment...needs refurbishment and food reviewing....not a good experience
