Popped in here as it was central and they had seating outside.
Seen outside they have a breakfast special (served all day) £7.50 for coffee and bacon or sausage Ciabatta. Ordered the sausage with an americano with hot milk. Great coffee and a fabulous sausage ciabatta and it’s a big portion. Proper butchers sausages. Dog friendly and very friendly staff who made a fuss of my dog. Shame I didn’t get a picture
Our family live in various parts of the country and arranged to meet here at the Berwick Tea Rooms in memory of our late Mum. We weren't disappointed, we had the most delicious afternoon tea. The lovely Georgie made us very welcome and catered for all the family dietary requirements. We also had the canine division of the family with us -lovely Luna and adorable Diesel both were well behaved and were also catered for. The food was delicious. I can't select one particular favourite as everything was brilliant. Thankyou for such a delicious spread x
Oh, where do I even begin with Scott’s Tea Room? It’s a delightful gem hidden in the heart of the village—and, let’s be honest, once you catch a glimpse of Scott himself, you won’t be thinking about tea. Imagine a cozy little haven, with the aromas of freshly baked scones mingling in the air, all served by a man who looks like he just stepped out of a Viking movie set. Yes, Scott is hunky, bald, and bearded, and honestly, it should be illegal to make tea and cakes while looking that good.
The tea selection? Impeccable. The cakes? Life-changing. But it’s the service that’s the real star here. I mean, this guy pours tea like it’s a ritual handed down through generations of ruggedly handsome warriors. Scott can bring out a Victoria sponge like he’s presenting Excalibur, and somehow, the cup of Earl Grey tastes better because he poured it. Need sugar with that? Just catch his eye—trust me, it’s the only sugar you’ll need.
If you’re passing through the village, make it a priority to stop here. Come for the tea, stay for the Scott. And if he happens to flex while pouring your milk? Well, that’s just a bonus.
Wow, what an amazing night at Casa Zilli. The food was wonderful, in particular the steak was melt in your mouth gorgeous!! Nikki & her front of house team provided exceptional service, the attention to detail was second to none. Aldo & his team cooked us the most amazing food. We didn’t want to be rushed as this was a birthday celebration. I spoke to Nikki before we arrived & she ensured we had big gaps between courses so we could enjoy our evening. Overall the evening was just perfect & I can’t recommend Casa Zilli highly enough.
I didn't stay at the hotel, but we did book an incredible afternoon tea at The Sea Pearl Restaurant.
Everything was delicious, and if you have leftover food, they had to-go boxes available.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was calming, perfect for enjoying the meal.
The views of the beach are beautiful.
Lovely food, but not worth the long wait.
We waited an hour for our starter and over two hours for our mains. The main issue was clear — the restaurant had been overbooked. Many guests had ordered steak, which is served on a hot stone, but the limited number of stones and the time they take to heat caused significant delays. Unfortunately, this took away from what could have been a great dining experience. I won’t be returning, and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone else.
