Our family live in various parts of the country and arranged to meet here at the Berwick Tea Rooms in memory of our late Mum. We weren't disappointed, we had the most delicious afternoon tea. The lovely Georgie made us very welcome and catered for all the family dietary requirements. We also had the canine division of the family with us -lovely Luna and adorable Diesel both were well behaved and were also catered for. The food was delicious. I can't select one particular favourite as everything was brilliant. Thankyou for such a delicious spread x

This is a lovely little tea room off the beaten track. The menu is small but the food very nice (bacon, cheese, sun-dried tom and pesto toastie, who knew!). What made our visit great though was the lady serving (Denise?). She was very friendly, welcoming and made our little boy feel at home 😀. Just a heads up its cash only, no credit /debit cards.

Wonderful inside setting, beautiful cutlery and cups. Very vintage. I enjoyed this recommended afternoon tea. Looks like a shed from the outside but small and cosy inside. You have to book 2 days in advance as it is a small venue. £16 for afternoon tea. We came on a windy cold day and our hostess wore her cardigan, as did I throughout our lunch as it was cold in there. Which was it’s only down fall. We were there for an hour and a half and thought it might warm up. However, lovely service, lovely spread. And at time of booking all dietary requirements would be accommodated if we had any.

I found the tea rooms whilst looking at the area on Google Maps. So, thought that it would be a good place to take my Mother. On entering the Tearoom, we were met with a very friendly greeting. So, one pot of tea and two slices of cake ordered, and quickly delivered to the table. The place has a charm all of its own, the crockery had been sourced from local charity shops, but was totally clean and not cracked. I get the impression that would bend over backwards to meet customers requirements. Oh yes, the cake. Apple and Caramel, and boy it was fantastic. Moist, tasty and simply delicious.

Tasty toasted sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and plenty of nice cakes. Parking on site and good prices. Comfy seating and nice decorations. Afternoon was an option on the menu but needed to enjoy booked in advance. We heard tables needed could be reserved too as the place gets busy. Some of the cutlery wasn’t as clean as would be preferential.

This beautiful tea room is honestly perfect. It has the cutest decor, really lovely tea cups, cutlery, everything is very vintage/shabby chic. The pink smeg fridge was a really sweet finish to this quaint tea room. We booked a table for 3 people ( which was good because they was turning people away it was so busy ) we had the most beautiful cake stand brought over to us with fresh sandwiches, freshly baked scones, clotted cream, & the yummiest cakes my personal favourite was the profiteroles they was unbelievable! Thank you for an all round brilliant service & a beautiful afternoon tea. We will 100% be back!

A real find. Set on a working Farm down the country lanes, This family run tea hut offers delicate patisseries as well as lovely long lost family cakes. The venue is small with eclectic tables and chairs, wild flowers adorn each table. We went for the 'Afternoon Tea' which we had prebooked. Finger sandwiches had generous fillings, scones with clotted cream and jam as well as a selection of home made mini tarts. Pots of tea and coffee helped too. The service was friendly and attentive. I'm told the place is dog friendly but didn't see any. This is not a white tablecloth kind of place but the crockery is authentically styled to befit the best of tables. They also offer snacks if your just popping by as well as a great selection of home made jams to purchase. I'll definitely book again as it reasonably priced and the food was delicious.

Tea room was lovely and had a lovely slice of chocolate brownie and a cup of tea but what a disappointment with regards to the children's cup cake making. Children were given shop bought cheep cup cakes to decorate, there wasn't much guidance for the children as the lady kept walking off serving customers, was very stressed and seemed to no want to help the children decorate the cakes, children left with three cup cakes, when they was given a box to fit four and there were plenty of cakes left on the side still in the wrapper for them to decorate, but was told they would only be decorating three cakes... as it looked like the lady couldn't wait to clear up, shame as they could have decorated another one, wasn't a great experience and wouldn't got back for cup cake making although the cake and tea in the tea room was nice

My partner and I visited recently.Looks nice from the outside, with bunting, wooden decking, tables and chairs and an A-board to welcome you, but as we stepped inside I was quite surprised by how tiny it is! There were three tables inside, one which had six people sitting around and the other two tables would have got three people around each table, at a very tight squeeze. Nicely decorated interior, with vintage China dotted about, mismatched chairs/tables which I particularly like, as it reflects a less formal, uniform ambience. Our table outside was really tiny and had we ordered more food/drinks it just would have been very impractical to have it all on this table. Very much the sort of table where you wouldnt be eating, just having a quick coffee! A bigger table would be far better, certainly to avoid any accidents waiting to happen!Tea and coffee were served in China teacups and my partner had a pot of tea and my coffee was served in a miniature cafetière.I had some homemade quiche, served with rocket and crisps on the side. I would have preferred the rocket to have had a splash of dressing, or certainly a little pot of dressing would have been a nice touch. However, the lady behind the counter did seem a little stressed as she was the only one serving, although to be fair, I doubt you could have two people serving there, they would be forever knocking into one another!I also tried the banana and chocolate cake, which was delicious. If this place was bigger it would be a far nicer experience. Unfortunately tiny tables, tiny interior makes it all feel as though you wouldn't want to linger and enjoy your surroundings. But, having said that, this is the sort of place you could meet for a quick cuppa with friends. For all its daintiness, it is welcoming and friendly. One pot of tea, one pot of coffee, one slice of cake, one piece of quiche, all for just under a tenner. So good value. It has two outside toilets, which are housed in a shed. Not the most pleasant I've visited, but certainly not the worst. But just think basic and you won't go wrong!

We popped here last Sunday for a cream tea( they're only open weekends and Fridays soon ). It's so lovely! Very vintage. There was quite a few people there sitting outside in the autumn sun on the veranda, there's blankets for your knees if you need them and there's a log burning stove inside ready for the winter. We had a big pot of tea between the 3 of us which was topped up, a scone (which would have been nice warmed up) with real clotted cream and jam for £4 each. They did toasties too and a lovely selection of homemade cakes. All we needed was a bit of Glen Miller music playing in the back ground to complete the experience! We will be going back but it's a shame it's not open (12-3 ?)in the week.

Popped in for an early evening pint just over two weeks ago, whilst staying nearby. Nice looking pub, real fire, friendly locals and staff. My wife and I enjoyed a well kept pint of Harveys Old Ale each. The following lunchtime I returned for lunch with my inlaws. I had the halloumi burger, which was very nice indeed. Well presented, good salad and perfect chips: crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Ale was a little on the cold side on this visit but still drinkable. I'd definitely return.
