Great cafe. Love there sausages.

5* food with 5* reception always feel welcome when I visit the café, I couldn't recommend a better place to go get pancakes in East Sussex

Walked in and was not greeted. Everyone on smartphones. Coffee machine did not look very good Chalk board had lively messages on it but was not a welcoming atmosphere. It was pouring with rain, though

My train was cancelled (again) so I stopped at the cafe for a bacon sandwich and tea. They were great, as always, Thank you! There’s a wonderful young waitress in the Whistlestop called Kass, who never fails to brighten my morning, whatever else may be going on. Thank you for helping keep me sane Kass.

We had a great breakfast all four of us last Monday & the dog.Food was delicious & staff friendly 😋 definitely will be coming again.Thank you

I'm a high end chef of 13 years and very paticular of food when I eat out today I had a breakfast wrap and to tell you now WOW True little diamond smiley staff on arrival and as a chef to the chef of this place well done my 1st 5 rating all staff friendly

Great breakfast and good tea! Me and 2 friends stopped there and had the full English. It was cooked fresh a tasted great. Don’t park in the railway carpark there’s a free 3 hour car park 50 yards away beside the builders merchant. Just added a second picture taken 18th july 24 one year later and it was just as great as the last one. Thanks guys!

The food was half cooked and the Tea tasted awful. It would be nice if the man in there wasn't Ignorant iswell. I tried it once and would never go back after having diarrhea from this place.

Friendly café and welcoming of dogs (with complimentary sausage!) Enjoyed an English breakfast, which was hot and tasty. My friend enjoyed an omelette with salad and we couldn't resist having a shortbread. Drank filter coffee whilst sitting outside in the fresh air but there is also space inside. Owner and staff are helpful and smiling! Free off road parking and also paid parking if needed.

after deciding to leave a local pub because menu was just Sunday roast, atmosphere was miserable, as was staff member, we hit upon here & were so happy we did. Super food, menu and lovely friendly staff. can't wait for next visit.

This is a very friendly, refreshingly 'local' café, with all sorts of people coming and going. The staff are lovely and the service is efficient. The 'Whistlestop' cooked breakfast was really good value for money - and fried bread is also available. (I figured that if I was going to eat a fried breakfast as a once-in-a-while treat, I might as well do the lot...) Tea or coffee are included and of a very good standard. In all, a good venue.

Adjacent to Crowborogh Train Station. Enjoyed a refreshing cup of coffee after a nights flight. Friendly atmosphere, great service, helpful with directions to a B&B. Certainly coming back again.

A smashing little cafe adjacent to Crowborough station. Very clean, friendly and attentive staff, with a comprehensive and varied menu including daily specials. Altogether, a great experience and well worth more visits.

Great little cafe. When we arrived they were just closing but stayed open just for us. The food was excellent and the staff really friendly. We'll definitely use the Whistle Stop again.

We have stopped here a few times for breakfast after a walk. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the service is great. A good selection on the menu and the food is very tasty.

Went to this lovely little place a few days ago with my dad in hopes of having a nice, tasty brunch. That’s exactly what we got! The food was delicious, the staff were extremely friendly and kind, it was a clean, organized place with reasonable prices, and overall a good time. We also got some shawarma wraps for take away for our dinner that night, the chicken was soft and cooked well with the perfect amount seasoning and veggies inside. Very nice and homey/comfortable little place too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good brunch/food place in general. P.S. photo attached was our table after we’d eaten, the tables aren’t dirty.

We often use the Whistlestop for Large Breakfast orders at work, the Gut Buster is enormous !! Sausages are not the really cheap types you often find in cafes, pretty decent bacon too

The staff almost bent over backwards to accommodate my food intolerances. Coming up with a selection having checked ingredients, that i was happy with and they checked all was well during the time we were in the restaurant.

Nice little establishment, cosy and you feel welcomed from the moment you step in! I've had the takeaway rolls a couple of times and I'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend them. Burgers are nice, but the best way to dine here is to sit in and be served at the table, lovely breakfast, well cooked and again served with a smile.

I got my lovely daughter to take me to the Whistlestop & although she was a bit surprised by this as we usually go to a pub, we had a very tasty huge cheese omelette' and very good cup pf coffee, served by 2 happy, smiley staff. Thank you.

What a great little find. Lovely breakfast went for the Whistle-stop. Good quality sausages, proper mushrooms really good 10/10 but what gives it the 5/5 is service the lady owner or front of shop was smiley great with people and really good service. Highly recommend shown by how busy it was when I was there.

The breakfast is so good here. I enjoy every mouth full. I would eat here every day if I could. Delicious food, delightful people. Very friendly staff & very reasonable prices. The Whistlestop Cafe has had a new facelift. New front doors. Fresh paint. It looks so nice & inviting. I took a friend there on Sat. He was so impressed with his brekky. He enjoyed every mouthful. & can't wait to be able to go again. You get value & quality for your money. Well worth going. I highly recommend it. The staff are so good too. Asking if all was ok. Any complaints, if they get any. Would be tactfully resolved. Not that I've heard anyone complain. Proper stronger ground coffee, would be the icing of the cake.

Ordered a all day breakfast, beans were cold, egg was snotty and under cooked, bacon was cheap and too salty and sausage was rank! To top all this off the cup that they served the tea in had a charity shop sticker on it which was half picked off and looked like it was soaked in dirty water. Also the knife and fork wasn’t the cleanest. So food quality and hygiene doesn’t seem important to the owners, the cold sore hanging off the owners lip makes you wonder how many people she might of passed this on too going by the hygiene standards I witnessed today. I won’t be returning to this cafe which is a shame as when owned by others before it was a really nice cafe. Standards are no where near to how this place use to be!

Tasty food and happy polite staff

Great service. We call and place an order. They say when it will be ready. We go and collect it. They do a great bacon and mushroom sandwich.

1st visit on a Saturday for lunch. Fry up lovely. Staff polite & friendly. Very clean. Pretty busy as small place. Would certainty go again.

Terrible place to go owner male very rude rubbish quality food and if you don't like something on the and want to replace it with something else you get charged for it I wanted to swap hash brown with chips and he tried charging me extra 1.50 he is a joke trying to Robb you will say the ladys are mice but the man needs to stop being so rude and arrogant and realise its customers who keep his business open and stop mugging them off so rude and unlikeable

Have avoided going here as the last time we used (some many months ago) the food wasn't great, however this time, Freshly cooked/made breakfasts, sandwiches, baguettes. Breakfast was exactly as asked for and service was good (remember it's a small place so food will take time to prepare and serve).

You say your open at 7am but have been ringing constantly for that passed 10mins no one has answered. .

Been here a few times now and they’re very consistent with food quality and quantity which is always very good. Full English with tea & toast for under a fiver! BARGAIN! Parking is chargeable and on ANPR (typical southern rail after every penny)so I’d suggest you park round the corner in the Jarvis Brook car park which is free for two hours. Keep up the good work and I wish you every success in the future. I’ll certainly be a once a week regular

Huge meals, cooked well and very reasonable prices.

It's a crime that there are only 3 reviews for this cafe but it speaks volumes that they are all 5 stars. It's cheap, clean, friendly, accommodating and THEY DELIVER BREAKFAST TO YOUR DOOR ON WEEKDAYS. The cafe itself is a little small but they've done a great job with the space and it's beautifully clean. The range of food is great including sandwiches, fried breakfast, pancakes and buble and squeak! If you're looking for gourmet food it's not here but if you want the best fried breakfast for the price within 15 miles this is the one for you!

We stopped here after the first leg of our 150 Spring Ride from Paddock Wood to Arundel and back. Steve and his team laid on an excellent brunch for us, in double quick time, so we could all get back on the road before cooling off too much. It's a long way for us to get to from our usual base in West Malling, but we will definitely be going back!

Good honest English "caff" adjacent to Crowborough Station. Excellent value breakfasts including the one I indulged in today, "American style" including hash browns, pancakes and the all important Maple Syrup. Friendly staff, bright, clean and cheerful interior, good value.

Best fry up I've had in years. Admittedly I don't eat them too often but there's a lot of bad ones about. Service a little slow when busy but that's to be expected with the size of the kitchen 3 were working out of. Definitely be back, if anything will prob eat fry ups more often. Now if I could just find some decent fish and chips in this area
