The Sea Pearl Restaurant in Worthing

Six of us went for a friend’s birthday lunch. Four of us had not been here before. The other two had raved about their recent visit and the quality of the food. Unfortunately our experience was bad. Three of our table ordered the starter of squid with chips to come as a main and clearly specified this. The squid arrived and the fries 20 minutes later. We had to send cocktails back as they were terrible: weak and watery. We ordered two bottles of white wine at £32 each, they came to the table at room temperature and we had to ask for a bucket of ice for them. I ordered the sea bream which came with saffron and tarragon rice. No tarragon but instead had added coconut essence, which made it taste synthetic and smell like sun cream. We addressed our complaints to the staff and they kindly took money off the bill. The staff were really lovely, the decor and views are great, just a shame that the food and running of the restaurant did not match the rest of it.

Lovely restaurant and lovely outlook over the sea. Very attentive service from Ollie our waiter. The sandwiches were delicious and very full. My only criticism was I would have rather had granary bread rather than wholemeal . As locals we’ll definitely return.

Four of us came here for a "late" lunch, this may have been the mistake because we have never encountered such dry chewy meats, the beef inedible and returned, the pork sliced far too thin and like leather. our only assumption was the meats were reheated once or even twice, very poor. Every other aspect was fine, maybe a large glass of Chardonnay at £12 is pricey but it was the food that concerned us. We loved the decor, the ambience and the service was impeccable. I always feel one should visit a restaurant at least twice to give the truest reflection, but we won't be returning.

Fantastic restaurant! The food is fabulous! we had Gilt Head Seabream and a Seafood platter, both were outstanding, Iv'e eaten at many top London restaurants including Gordon Ramseys, Michelle Roux etc. and I would say the food is just as good. The building is Victorian and the restaurant is a delight to sit in overlooking the sea. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, I don't know all of their names but we were seven by Ethan last night and it was a joy to have him as our waiter!

We were in Worthing for a Wedding and pop in to the Burlington for cheeky drink (Frosted Glass of Stella) as our Family where staying there, We Sat outside on the small but nice Balcony looking out to Sea, then went inside this recently refurbished to a very high standard Beautiful Bar & Dinning area, The service was quick, professional with a personal touch, I must mention Jacob who was a very pleasant gentleman in all respects and Jay was very helpful, The Bar is well worth a visit and the food (although we didn't have any) look divine as we peeked at the passing plates ( as you do ) haha

I guess it depends what you want. It’s a fantastic location and they have clearly spent a lot of money on the refurbishment. And it looks really good. The decor was attractive and the tables well spaced apart. The food was outstanding and reasonable value, tending to the upper end of a normal night out for us. The choice on the menu was excellent and would merit more investigation but, sadly, I won’t be doing it. We arrived at 7.30 as per our booking. We had to ask for the menu by 8.00pm. Service was lamentably slow. When the dishes arrived, they were placed at random in front of us rather than asking who had ordered what. Side salads arrived but the waitress didn’t know which dish they went with. Generally the staff had not been fully trained. I asked for the bill at 9.30. I asked a second time for the bill at 9.45. At 9.55 I announced that I was about to leave and would they like me to pay? Fortunately they did not add a service charge so I was spared the awkwardness of having to delete it.

Lovely atmosphere. Attentive staff and service was great! We were served by Jay. The food was delicious! We weren’t rushed and even when we had finished our meal we were welcome to stay and watched the fireworks on the seafront! Definitely would recommend and we will return! Thank you a lovely anniversary meal

Absolutely amazing place. Fantastic, friendly staff especially Ethan, Athene and Jade who went above and beyond. We will definitely be back soon for more delicious food and the cocktails which were some of the best we have had.

The new restaurant is beautiful and the revamped menu even better! We had the most gorgeous seafood platter with a beautiful bottle of Provence rose wine. 100% recommend! The cocktail menu also looks delicious, will definitely be back again to try more! On a side note the staff here are always super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable, I always leave feeling well looked after! 10/10!

Happened upon here after a walk along the seafront. I sat on the Terrace in the sunshine which was gorgeous. Excellent service and was recommended a lovely wine and ended up having some nibbles, the padron peppers and potato & bacon gratin were delicious!!

We popped in here after stroll along the beach and very happy we did! Staff were so friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. We sat out on the terrace for a drink and was lovely just to chill and watch the world go by. Will definitely be returning for food next time!

This was our second time here the first over a year ago and WOW what an improvement! The staff were so friendly and looked to be enjoying their work! They were knowledgeable about the menu and made sure I knew what my gluten free options were. Loads of yummy gluten free options!! We will definitely be back as the breakfast and lunch and afternoon tea menus all look full of promise for a coeliac! A gem of a place to go. Thank you.

We visited The Sea Pearl to celebrate a friend's birthday and we couldn't of asked for a better evening. The staff were all friendly and attentive, providing recommendations of the Paddington a twist on a spicy margarita which was amazing! The loin of cod was equally delicious. We will definitely be returning. A beautiful location for a special occasion

Found this restaurant on Worthing seafront, was very impressed with the range of beers on tap. Location was stunning. A real pearl of a restaurant, will definitely come back.

Staff were polite, professional and always went the extra mile. Fantastic food with plenty of options. Definitely look forward to returning.
