Wonderful afternoon tea. 4 types of sandwiches/ ciabatta, scones, chocolate torte, donuts & a surprise. Fantastic value!!

The calamari and chicken Caesar salad are both amazing with a side of zucchini fries. The atmosphere and service is brilliant aswell. I would highly highly recommend

It's about 31 years ago that I and my wife used the Malvern Tavern and its even better than 31 years ago

Excellent spot for lunch in a wonderfully diverse and interesting park. Even though the cafe was pretty busy on Easter Monday the staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient and the food very well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced.

A band was playing. Good music and good range of beers

Sunday lunch was fresh, tasty and amazing gravy. Great portion sizes and friendly staff. Comfortable, clean dining and bar area. Its a winner at £15 per head. Also has a car park. Will definitely return. Also have 2-3 course menu for Fri/Sat which looks very reasonable.

We visited Horsham today and chose this pub to pop in to for a lunch time drink. We certainly will not be returning. The landlady was rude and unwelcoming. We asked how to access the garden, as dogs were not allowed inside. She pointed to the door that I had just gone through and said “walk round the building”! She served up the wrong drink and then rudely accused my husband of asking for something different. And, when I asked where the toilets were she begrudgingly paused her conversation with another member of staff and silently, pointed to the stairs, which, were unlit. I had to use my phone torch to see which door to use! We were going to eat there, but chose to leave instead. Dreadful…

Loved our stay, the room was so nicely decorated, staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious. Loved the extra touches of the tea & cake and brandy night cap station for guests, and the terrace out the back was a real sun trap to relax. Would love to come back and stay again!

I loved the local ambient, it feels like being surrounded by family.

Food was ok. Deep fried Camembert was delicious but to only get 5 pieces of calamari for £12 was deeply disappointing. Will take me a long time to get over that.

We were looking for a breakfast later in the morning and found this amazing spot. Firstly, the service was exceptional, from the very attentive and friendly welcome by the Manager to the attention to detail and helpfulness of the serving staff it was such an enjoyable experience..(My napkin slid off my knee and I had not noticed when a passing waiter swept it off the floor depositing a fresh one as he passed) Then came the breakfast! Whilst it was not quite an Ulster Fry it was certainly the tastiest we have had in a long long time…The background music atmosphere and decor all added to the event and we shall certainly be returning.

Best fish and chips, wouldn't ever go anywhere else in Alton. Really friendly staff and such great prices. Couldn't reccomend more
