The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Very good service and delicious food. Couldn’t ask for more. We visited this afternoon for an early tea with a toddler. All food was really tasty. Shared the Camembert to start and then had 2 x fish and chips, a Greek mezze and a kids pizza. All were very good quality! A little mix up between Greek salad and Greek mezze was quickly and professionally rectified.

Great place to stop off in the New Forest for a meal snack or afternoon tea etc It looked as though it had closed down last time I was in Brockenhurst

Went for a team dinner with colleagues. The service was impeccable and so attentive, all the waiting staff were really friendly and couldn’t help enough. There are a few vegan options but nothing hugely inspiring. The vegan chocolate mousse dessert was great.

Food was very nice and the waiter Louisa was friendly and fast with service.

Excellent vegetarian range and really friendly staff. It is also dog friendly and staff will always come for puppy cuddles

If it was not for our server I would have given 1 star for service he was amazing sorted out our sweets think his name was charlie.pup grub nothing startling over priced noisy dirty tables never be back

Moved to Portsmouth for work, had a great weekend exploring. Found this beaut of a place, great beers and drinks in general, love the atmosphere and the friendly staff but the food ... The pancake stack was incredible, legit the best pancakes I've had to date! So I genuinely cannot wait for visit here again! Located near the end of a lovely little street just through the high street, great bars and overall a lovely vibe. To s if seating indoors and out, really tidy and colourful. Partner got the salad and a smoothie which she loved! Highly recommended.

My partner and I came here a few weeks ago for a bite to eat and a pint. Decent Cider selection! Food was lovely, prepared quickly, and great deals! Definitely, some great piri piri sauce as well! I'm looking forward to coming back! The environment was warm and friendly. They had a DJ playing on Friday night. It was lots of fun!

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in the Hotel, all the staff were most friendly and helpful, the rooms were warm, there was a lovely open fire in the reception area and lots of places to sit and relax. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and our meal in the Thai restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the SenSpa very much and look forward to visiting again. Beautiful setting in the heart of Carisbrooke. Pond is divine tho it needs a rubbish clear out (happy to help) food delicious 😋

I’ve been coming here for years, it’s such a great late night venue, busy and fun 7 days a week with a really great sunny people watching patio. Great for a Friday afternoon beer or a big nights out with friends.
