The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Very good service and delicious food. Couldn’t ask for more. We visited this afternoon for an early tea with a toddler. All food was really tasty. Shared the Camembert to start and then had 2 x fish and chips, a Greek mezze and a kids pizza. All were very good quality! A little mix up between Greek salad and Greek mezze was quickly and professionally rectified.

Lovely Afternoon Tea, washed down with sumptuous glass of prosecco, excellent, friendly, service and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

If it was not for our server I would have given 1 star for service he was amazing sorted out our sweets think his name was charlie.pup grub nothing startling over priced noisy dirty tables never be back

Moved to Portsmouth for work, had a great weekend exploring. Found this beaut of a place, great beers and drinks in general, love the atmosphere and the friendly staff but the food ... The pancake stack was incredible, legit the best pancakes I've had to date! So I genuinely cannot wait for visit here again! Located near the end of a lovely little street just through the high street, great bars and overall a lovely vibe. To s if seating indoors and out, really tidy and colourful. Partner got the salad and a smoothie which she loved! Highly recommended.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in the Hotel, all the staff were most friendly and helpful, the rooms were warm, there was a lovely open fire in the reception area and lots of places to sit and relax. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and our meal in the Thai restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the SenSpa very much and look forward to visiting again. My partner and I came here a few weeks ago for a bite to eat and a pint. Decent Cider selection! Food was lovely, prepared quickly, and great deals! Definitely, some great piri piri sauce as well! I'm looking forward to coming back! The environment was warm and friendly. They had a DJ playing on Friday night. It was lots of fun!

Another great breakfast mini monty cooked well and on a hot plate. Nick was brilliant and attentive nothing to much bother. As we asked for several extra things like a serrated edge knife as my friend has arthritis in her hands. Mark made sure I had a top up of coffee which no other restaurant in Tenterden doe's We also came in for a dinner last month and service was really good. And a really good choice of homemade food.i had the liver and bacon and my friend had the ham egg and chips. Cooked really well thsnkyou Nick and team will be back

I’ve been coming here for years, it’s such a great late night venue, busy and fun 7 days a week with a really great sunny people watching patio. Great for a Friday afternoon beer or a big nights out with friends.

It's about 31 years ago that I and my wife used the Malvern Tavern and its even better than 31 years ago

Always used to get food here, however since it's changed ownership service is extremely poor, not good value and food dripping in oil, not a good experience

Excellent spot for lunch in a wonderfully diverse and interesting park. Even though the cafe was pretty busy on Easter Monday the staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient and the food very well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced.
