Caballo Lounge in Epsom and Ewell

Lovely decor and atmosphere, quiet and chill, which was perfect for our breakfast date with my wife and baby. Our server was very nice (sorry, I didn't ask your name!). I had the shakshuka which was fantastic, and my wife had the lounge eggs, which were great too. High chair was provided and enough space for the pram. Will definitely come back for breakfast again.

Waited 45 minutes for food (no explanation why) cooked food was just warm chicken, bacon and advacrdo salad very small amount on salad over all very disappointing we have eaten here numerous times not sure if we would again

Our favourite place for all meal times. The food is delicious and every staff member is polite and welcoming. The atmosphere is so relaxing and you can spend hours here for a decent price. Thank you for always being so warm and friendly and for making such delicious food.

We were greeted by Dean who knows everyone and feels like an old friend. My kids love him and are always impressed when he reels off their favourite (long) order without a single mistake. Great party trick! I felt like something different today and Dean recommended the breakfast enchilada - he was so right - sensational! My new favourite, followed closely by the Miami Brunch. Nice restaurant but the experience was a bit mixed overall. The tapas dishes were fairly priced and came in good portions - patatas bravas were a bit disappointing but rest were decent. Staff were friendly, but serving plates had to be sent back as they were dirty, and I’m personally not a fan of ordering through apps/QR codes (how can I give a service tip before being served?). The atmosphere was pleasant inside aside from the poor lighting where we were sat, and I would give this place a second try if in Epsom again.

Went for brunch. Food was a substantial portion which was great! I was full. Everything on the plate was delicious apart from the peppers which were a bit bland. Atmosphere was lovely, coffee delish. I got the big veggie brunch.

Wonderful roof terrace. Food and drink was reasonably priced and very good. Ordering was easy and staff friendly and efficient.

I came here for brunch this morning. Plenty of seats available, and very easy to order using the QR code on the table. The food came out quickly and was tasty, I had the sausage muffin which I would recommend.

Just like the branches in both Ealing and Uxbridge, this is a classic resturant with unique food.

Arrived for a late morning breakfast and the service from a lovely young man dean was out of this world, gave us some of his own recommendations of what to eat and boy was he right!!! Absolute credit to carbello lounge really knows his stuff!! Will definitely be returning in the future

Great selection of food, a large gluten free menu, always tasty & reasonably priced

The food is a bit disappointing as ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs where hast instead of runny, service is good friendly and helpful staff members, still the experience of eggs Benedict won't stop me from trying other foods out. The atmosphere is amazing, the price is acceptable as it is a fine dining restaurant, and the wines are a bit too expensive 250 ponds for a bottle of Chardonnay. This won't stop me from going back and trying out other foods.

Food reasonable albeit smaller portions for breakfasts. No waiter order so visit bar each time or order on app only whenever need extra drinks. Not great for older clients

Wonderful bar on the main high street. Decor is shabby and funky has a great look and feel on 2 floors. Also has the added bonus of a rear roof terrace which is open light and airy with again nicely adorned walls of art. Had breakfast, which was fantastic, super tasty and filling. First visit and will be back. Staff are super friendly and polite.

Nice lunch on the roof terrace. Fortunately we were not in a hurry - the food took over 30 minutes to arrive.

Food was lacking... Salad was bitter and looked unwashed with only a tiny bit cheese. Burger was dry. For the bang bang chicken the noodles were soggy and the chicken was ok... Steak bland and flavourless garlic butter couldn't save it. Wasn't even much brisket. But in addition you have to PAY FOR WATER! £7 just for 750ml MIGHT AS WELL GET A SOFT DRINK! Though for some reason though you can get tap water though too. Decor and interior is a bit classic with juat a bunch of random portraits and pictures... Very weird don't get what it was trying to be like a very weird english place... Floor has a bunch of masking tape looked unkept and not treated that well. Long to get served. 10-15 mins TO EVEN GET CUTLERY! Was served well done not medium rare and when asked for medium rare got an even more well done steak back... Posted a photo on how well done it was... Luckily easy online ordering was there. Credit as the servers were teenagers on a Sunday shift but still no excuse for this appaling food... I could have cooked better steak myself! Not coming here again... 🤦‍♂️

Very cozy place to meet with friends

Had a lovely family dinner at this lounge. For people into their technology you can place your order with the QR Code but for retro people like me you can walk to the bar and place your order. Prices are very good, and we were all very happy with the food. I am on a gluten free diet and the separate GF menu was great for me. So much choice. I would recommend the GF Miami Brunch. Will definitely be back, and will also try some of the other lounges. Keep up the good work

The manager was very very rude to us. There was so many tables free ,she didn’t want to serve us because they were busy. If they know that they are busy (Father’s day) they should get more staff. I asked her so many times,May I have your name,but she didn’t answer it.she rolled her eyes at me. We are regular customers . I’m so sorry for the Owners that they have manager like her.

Had lunch for Father's Day and the restaurant was very busy, but they accommodated us and food was great. Had to wait a little while but we were advised the wait for food would be 30 mins and we were happy to wait. Some customers were later politely informed the restaurant could not accommodate anyone else for lunch as the kitchen was under pressure. We did see one customer (who posted a review today) whom our party thought was unreasonable and rude - they promptly posted a negative review whilst still at the restaurant in a fit of pique. Very unfair and unnecessarily referenced the manager "not being English" (they said the same in their written review). Hmmm! Perhaps draw your own conclusions, but we could see the female manager was upset with this customer's rudeness and she was doing her upmost to accommodate as many customers as possible and was extremely polite.

I absolutely love this place! I spent my birthday there and had brunch. The food was delicious and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Lots of vegan options and the coffee is amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! We will definitely be returning.

Arrived at 9.15pm (after checking opening times) to be told no food and only drinks. Very annoying as travelled a way to get there. It you advertise hours you should stick to them.

Stopped in for a quick brunch with daughter, and very disappointed. Started well enough, seated quickly, app easy to use, but that really is the best I can say. Tea was served in stained tea pots, with the milk jugs even worse. Cups stained and dirty. when asked for clean cups replacements not much better and daughter ( despite being ASD) picked up on the look of annoyance from waitress. My food was served on a plate with dired egg stains on. The bacon was far too saly to even taste, the eggs woefully undercooked, and the muffin had a really strange flavour to it. Ended up leaving most of the food and tea Wont be visiting again

There is a roof terrace. High recommended for some peace and quiet in the good weather...

Found this place a few years ago when meeting up with an old friend.we meet at mid point to where we live, we both drive approx one hour from different directions to meet at Epsom. Since then we have returned regularly not bothering to try any other restaurants as this one never fails to impress. Menu fantastic, excellent choice and selection also for gluten free, good prices and portions. Food tastes fantastic, presented well served by helpful polite staff. When eating out I always feel alienated as gluten free with minimal choice, but not here soo much to choice of delicious tasting food. Thank you

Food is always nice and the interior is lovely

Absolutely lovely time we had at this place. The Buddha Bowl and chicken burger we ordered was amazing, so so so delicious. Large selection of the drinks, we decided to go for Matcha Lattes, as I always wanted to try. Wow! This was awesome! Overall we spend few hours there enjoying and indulging ourselves. Would definitely come again. Thank you staff for your suggestions and attentivness.

The full English breakfast at Caballo Lunch was an absolute delight! Each component, from the perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon to the savory sausages and grilled tomatoes, was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The addition of baked beans and buttered toast added a comforting touch to the meal. It was a hearty and satisfying breakfast that left me feeling energized and ready to tackle the day ahead. Second visit, and have to say... Impressive breakfasts! Also the best chocolate brownie EVER, and I've tried many. Service is great and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Never had a bad experience in here

Popped in on a rainy Saturday morning for some brunch. Service was friendly, although there was an issue with our meal. For some reason only 1 meal came out - and luckily we were asked if we'd like a second plate, and so said we were waiting for a second meal, else we wouldn't have realised there was an issue until much later. Manager came over to confirm that they didn't have the second meal on their system, however I was able to show the email confirmation showing what was ordered. In fairness to them, the issue was resolved quickly, and the second meal was brought out a few minutes later. Sadly as my meal was removed from the table to be left under the heater while we waited, the poached eggs hardened, but were still tasty. The whole team were very apologetic and professional throughout. Both drinks ordered were also well made.

Quick on the drinks, was quite busy being a Sunday around 12. I heard they had a new chief as well which might explain the slightly cold food. The hallumi also tasted like it was cooked with meat which to a more strict vegiterian might but upsetting, also got white toast instead of brown and my girlfriend got bread instead of toast. Wasn't worth complaining as it was still an enjoyed meal with good service, will go again. Also The sweetcorn fritters were great!

Never again too many other choices

Excellent local lounge to come at any time of the day,. I'll come here for work meets, bite to eat with the family or drinks with friends. Staff are ALWAYS open and welcoming. Special shout out to Dean who went out of his way on our last visit. Great menu/ range of food and drinks.

Had brunch with friends on Sunday, cannot fault, food was lovely, the service was fantastic, Dean seems to be able to multitask like no other. Will definitely be visiting again

The food was good and the coffee was good. I like that you can order the food to your table yourself. The dietary changes needs to be order at the bar though but they were accommodating so it was good!

What a fantastic place. We visited the Brasco Lounge near Albert Dock Liverpool. The staff are so friendly and the decor is quirky and bright. The menu has something for everyone and the locations are all very good. Would highly recommend 👌

We went here this morning for breakfast whilst having a few hours to spend,we always love the breakfasts at caballo lounge.This is our 4th time here.The food was delicious as per usual,had the gluten free bacon and sausage butty tasted absolutely delicious.Also I loved the hash browns and chorizo for extras too,both hash browns and the chorizo were really delicious too.The gluten free range is amazing and you could have loads of options for breakfast and loads of options for extras too.Service was fantastic too,extremely polite servers,smiles all round and the service was really quick too.The atmosphere was lovely too,very nice decor as well and relaxing music.Love the community vibe,we had some time to spend so it was lovely feeling free to spend 20 minutes extra.The toilets were clean as well,the restaurant was exceptionally clean as well.They had an unlimited water fountain too and it tastes lovely with orange juice.Love the lounges so much,would highly recommend.

Caballo Lounge will always be one of my favourite restaurants. They have an extensive selection of gluten free options that are all delicious. The service is always great, and the atmosphere is warm and homely. I have brunch and dinner here often and I’m always satisfied with the food and service!

This was really lovely, came here with a family member and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was really so tasteful, the eggs were the perfect consistency and give my props to the chefs please !! Will have to come again soon.

When I arrived at the cafe this morning, the interior of the café caught my attention. Filled with artwork everywhere. Impressive. The ordering process online was surprisingly quick and efficient, which I appreciated. It made the entire transaction seamless and saved me valuable time. However, the food itself was somewhat average. On a positive note, the staff was exceptionally friendly and polite.

No matter how long I leave it and go back it’s always awful so surprised this place is even still open when it’s always quiet but yet service and food always rubbish there’s so many nicer places in Epsom to now eat.

Decided to do lunch out with the fam. Love the decor and menu looks great. We had the fries, sweet potato fries, lounge burger and the pesto, tomato and mozzarella panini. Both fries were great and came out hot. Panini was rock solid - would have been better to go to Mokka where the panini’s are good in the Ashley Centre. Lounge burger was dry had to ask for extra burger sauce (there wasn’t even a teaspoon in the burger) and then add ketchup to make it juicy! Bit of a disappointment given we spent £30 😢

Used to love this place but sadly won't be visiting anymore. The food is over seasoned and over priced. The waiter was unhelpful when our order was incorrect and cold, finally offered a refund which I didn't receive despite being told would be in my account in 4-5 days.

Caballo lounge is a great little restaurant in Epsom not far from the cinema car park. We usually bring our dog when we come as this place is completely dog friendly, but today she wasn’t with us. The very best thing about CL is the Nasi Goreng. It is absolutely delicious and comes with a fried egg on top, it is probably the nicest of this dish I’ve ever had. I highly recommend! The children’s menu differs from the usual and my children love the herby chicken. You order and pay via an app and the service is really quick. It’s great value for money and we will definitely be back.

If you are a Coeliac or just gluten free, it's a must to visit this place. It's one of the fullest gluten free menus we have come across. Food is great and so is the service.

Cabello Lounge is a fab place to go for a bite to eat and a catch up with friends. It's jazzy enough to have a decent vibe but also provides good food. It's order at the table, which I still find a bit odd as there's no personal touch, but I think this is how some restaurants are nowadays! Apologies for the bite out of my delicious flatbread... I only remembered after to take a picture!

Updated: Dropping a star unfortunately due to recent food being lukewarm at best, bordering on cold. Either there are timings issues with items not being ready at same time so some being left around, or the keep warm equipment isn’t being used correctly. A real shame because the taste is fine but serving food hot is a basic thing to get right. ——— Lovely place. Friendly, reasonably priced, nice food and drinks, decent service. Nice outside terrace. Apart from the odd occasion when really busy, it’s a pleasant chilled atmosphere.

We went there on the most recent father's day, and as expected it to be busy, was assuming it may take some time. However upon entry, the restaurant was not full, and had many empty tables, yet was advised of a 35-40 min wait. The food was ordered and having gone past the time suggested, we had gone to ask for the food, they were quite rude and blunt and stated that it is busy and we just have to wait. We waited and the food finally came. Now, one would expect the food to be hot or even warm. The food was cold, was dry and flavourless, thoroughly disappointed with the experience considering that I have visited the other branch in Sutton a few times. I will definitely not be going back, and I have generously given two stars purely based on the fact that the restaurant looked quite nice. The poor food, combined with terrible service and a overly hot restaurant meant all for a unhappy visit on what should be a great day for families to celebrate.

I stopped by here to grab a bite to eat, the staff members were attentive and polite. I ordered a coke and the 'gluten free lounge bacon cheeseburger'. With fries. The burger: lovely burger with fantastic salad within, the sauce was tasty and the gluten free bun was toasted nicely. The fries: crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall opinion: good, nice food and lovely service. I recommend.

Had lunch here with our coeliac daughter. Gluten free menu. Staff were very helpful and accommodating with our enquiries. Separate gluten free fryer. Very happy kid (and adults). Highly recommend.

Food was perfect, order at the table worked with no delays. Staff and management were on point. Cannot fault.
