Beefeater Tattenham Corner in Epsom and Ewell

Thank you to the team, especially Coco who kept going through difficult times. It is so good to be getting back to normal, there are still difficulties with deliveries which is hitting everywhere at the moment. If something isn’t available then there is plenty more to choose from.

It is so good to be able to eat indoors again. Covid precautions are in place indoors as well as in the spacious garden. Food was good served by a very friendly, helpful server Coco, who recommended the Lasagne to me, it is excellent. We will be back very soon

Great service from Katie Turner (Coco), always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food was good too and didn't have to wait too long for it.

Late decision to eat out and decided to check out this place as wife had received a 40% of mains voucher. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised both with the friendliness of the waitress and the quality of the food. All was cooked just as we asked, served promptly and cleared quickly. We visited late afternoon 5.30pm and place was quite empty so that may have helped. If you want no frills good food, this place is well worth a visit.

I eat here frequently, but find it's Pot Luck - sometimes the food is great and the service excellent. Sometimes I wait for ages to be served, sometimes the steaks are tough. I would never recommend it to a friend since you never know what you're going to get.

Well booked a table. Arrived waited 10 mins no waiter to seat us! People were there queuing to be seated. 2 staff that was it!! So we left! How rubbish is this place now!! Shame

Hard to imagine how this place could be worse.

Here for Christmas day, and it was clear the staff were all working really hard. All our meals were prepared and cooked deliciously by the chef's. The staff are so friendly, and made sure our day was special.

We went on Saturday night, table of 7 at 7pm. Some arrived late but it wasn’t busy so no issues.A variety of food ordered from steaks to lasagne. Took some drinks orders to find out they have run out of San Miguel....really on a Saturday night....since some of our group arrived late we didn’t get our mains till about 8.30, not the fault of staff, just us. Mains arrived from steaks to lasagne. My wife had ordered surf and turf type main, and wanted steak medium rare, it wasn’t. Mine was over cooked but due to time I couldn’t be bothered to send back but not my wife. 3 minutes she was told it would take,nearly 15 minutes later it arrived, just as everyone was finished. My beer and dripping sauce was aweful, didn’t taste of anything, bistro gravy had more taste.just a thick gloop.... My father in law had lamb, very tough and raw vegetables.

We had a big family meal here today. The food was lovely and the service was really good- our food came really quickly even though there was a lot of us. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Tried this beefeater after our usual place to eat was fully booked. A wide variety of food to choose from followed up by friendly at staff and waitresses, manageress (with dark hair) seemed busy and very pleasant to talk to when she had a chance.

We went here for a Sunday roast. The restaurant was very busy but our waitress Gaynor made sure we got our drinks quickly once we were seated. Gaynor was exceptional and ensured that our experience was excellent even though she was rushed off her feet!! The roast was lovely, and good value for money and we enjoyed the extra potatoes and yorkshire puds.

Another delightful lunch at Tottenham Corner Beefeater. Food is always hot and freshly prepared, staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient (Gaynor and Emma) and prices are really competitive. This has been one of our regular lunch venues for many years and they’ve never let us down.

We had the lovely waitress Kate Thomas serving us this evening, she was so attentive and friendly, she made sure we had everything we needed and refilled our drinks whenever they were half empty - the service was very fast too. We had such a tasty meal, highly recommend the beef eater for couples or, anyone in fact!

Just finished a delicious meal at the Beefeater in Tattenham Corner. Roast potatoes nice and crispy and we even got extra gravy, potatoes and a Yorkshire for free! We were served by Kate Thomas who always makes us feel welcome and can't do enough to make our visit enjoyable.

Over an hour wait for food to be brought to us - when it was the quality and quantity for the price was diabolical- chilli served in a dip dish / refillable chips which take ages to be replaced , if you want to go to a restaurant riddled with disappointment this is your place . Only praise I have is for the staff . End off.

As always we had a lovely meal at the Beefeater. We always make sure that we are served by KatieTurner (Coco), she always makes us feel so welcome. In my opinion she is a great credit to the team there and seems to have a lot of regular visitors coming into the restaurant.

We went to the Beefeater last night with friends and had a great meal. The experience was made all the better by the quality of service we received from Kate (Coco). Our order was taken very promptly by Kate and drinks arrived very quickly. She was very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, despite the fact she was very busy!

Had a wonderful time here yesterday with family. The GM Fran was the one to see us in and seated, she was so lovely and friendly. Then she let us know that we would be taken care of by a lovely young man called Paris who was amazing. He was very attentive, helpful, polite and funny. Also had a lovely manager called Shannon who very helpful and directed us. Beautiful views, delicious meals and deserts. Very happy as this was our second time there, so would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Great atmosphere, Great all round care bye staff, looked after by a loverly waitress. Drinks ordered and delivered within 4 minutes even though the restaurant was busy. Starters and meal ordered. Starters arrived 12 minutes later. I had the best Calamaris that I’ve ever tasted.

Couple of friends and myself went for lunch here, my first time in this place and certainly wont be the last! Our waiter Paris was very professional and nice, the manager Fran showed us to a table, she was very nice too! Food was absolutely delicious - I had a dry aged sirloin steak cooked to perfection! My friends were also very happy with the quality of the food! Will definitely be back!

As always, the food was great. Gaynor W was really attentive and friendly - we couldn't have asked for a nicer waitress!

I needed a quick dinner, so having read reviews that it had improved, thought I'd give it a go. At first sight it looked the same and I stood at the welcome desk for quite a few minutes ignored by everyone. At length what I took to be a manageress came up with a cheery "oright my love?". Yes, well. I was shown to a table, there were about 15 other people dotted around. It was far cooler than ideal, but did warm up later.

They do have some new and really pleasant bar staff who are happy to chat and obviously really like the customer service part of the job - it makes a huge difference, as previous staff weren't really there with that.

Had to wait a while before being greeted and seated, wasn’t overly busy, steady trade throughout our visit Food was ok, average beefeater food really! Service ok, staff friendly and attentive.

This was our 3rd visit in 3 months. Each time we have received very good service with a smile. It's great food and good value. A special mention to our waitress this time, Gaynor, who made our visit even better not only making it very easy to use a voucher (which I forgot to mention at the start) but also making us feel so at home.

Went for my husbands 65th birthday with a party of 17 for lunch . our waitress,katie turner (coco)was great ...some of the family came late , kate had taken our order, but it was no promble for her . so she took there orders , so all the orders of food still came out on time . she was lovley and food was spot on. she then sang happy birthday when she bought out the birthday cake out . we feel the only thing that let the resturant down is the toliets , BIG TIME . only one of the mens was working , in the ladys , toliet rolls holdsers all broken , dirty , needs to be repainted.

We visited the restaurant today for my dad's 65th birthday. We were a large table of 11 adults plus lots of small children. Katie Turner, our waitress, was excellent - she was really friendly and handled our large order smoothly! The food and drinks all came out at the same time - all tasty and hot. My only complaint is about the women's toilets which were filthy!

I would like to start to say a massive thank you to Coco she was really nice and friendly. Food was very good, served on hot plates and felt it was value for money. I would visit again, only down side was the toilets were disgusting and smelt horrible.

Just had a great evening at Beefeater Tattenham Corner, we had the joy of being looked after by Kate Thomas, fantastic evening and Kate was absolutely amazing and a credit to his resteraunt,, highly recommend.....

A pretty limited menu, but the burgers and a few other things are very good. Not a lot of choice though. Staff are normally slow to get you to a table, yet are exceptionally pleasant and efficient once you're seated. No pressure, and, despite a very dismal recently refitted barn in which to eat, the lovely staff and good burgers count for a lot. What is inexcusable though, particularly in a newly refitted business, is the dirty very smelly gents toilets which never seem to change - a shame.

Visited for a family early dinner as it was our son’s birthday. The waitress (Katie T.) was so polite and pleasant, she was very attentive and very good with the kids.

We booked a table for a family group of 17 for a special celebration lunch and the staff looked after us brilliantly! Particular thanks go Katie Thomas and the lady Manager (apologies but I have forgotten your name!) as nothing was too much trouble . They helped look after and serve the cake that we had brought with us and made sure that everything ran smoothly. We will definitely be going back!

Had an amazing evening here celebrating my birthday with family. Been here quite a few times and the food is always perfect. Want to thank our waitress Katie Thomas who is exceptional at her job. Polite, happy, professional and made us feel so welcome. She is an asset to the restaurant. Always hope Katie is working when we go.

We waited for 20 minutes just for someone to speak to us at the desk and were eventually told we could order food up to 10pm only to be turned away at 9.30 because the kitchen was closed. We had travelled up from Dorset and we had a 3 month old baby with us. The manager could not have been more unhelpful. Even though we had been assured our order would be taken. After waiting so long it was now too late to go anywhere else. On top of that the toilets were disgusting, dirty, no paper or soap and some very suspicious activities going on by a young female. The tables were full of dirty glasses and very sticky. We complained to the head office and got back a stock half hearted apology over a week later. I'll NEVER go there again YUK!

We visited a few weeks back and had a bit of a mixed visit, things seemed a bit frantic and somewhat disorganised however, this time everything was excellent especially our server Katie Thomas! Great service and the food was lovely. If you want good food at a reasonable price and good service, this is the place to go.

Great lunch here at a reasonable price and welcoming staff. The conservatory bar looks out onto the garden and over the Downs and racecourse, lovely place to sit and eat from a good and reasonable menu.

We were greeted by Gaynor who got us settled and took our order- she was so attentive and really looked after us. When our meals were served my Lamb was quite tough, so Gaynor took it back to the kitchen and in return we got our glasses of wine and desert for free- excellent service.

This is our frequent Friday lunch time treat and Gaynor our usual waitress is always happy to see us and is very attentive. Good choice of menu which seems to cater for a lot of people. Gaynor is always cheerful and no matter how busy she is (which is often), she always smiles and is very attentive. If anyone says differently, then, as far as we are concerned, it must have been very, very busy

It is just a pub with a good view, good outside space. The food is very average and the service slow and not very attentive. Waiting time … long.

Today’s meal was a nice wind down after attending a funeral and wake. The waitress was very professional and provided an unrushed meal. The meal was good quality with the exception of the broccoli which was slightly over done.

Ordered for a large amount of people. The starts for 3 came out before and 20 minutes later we questioned where our burgers were. we were told that a group of 24 people had arrived and clogged up the kitchen. this was 45 minutes after we ordered our food. The waiters didn't even remember that we had already ordered food (i get that he was new but you should always remember your customers)

Starters came in 3 sessions lunch in 2 2 meals sent back should have been medium rare stakes but were like shoe leather the replacement was not much better bitter in taste the grill should have been cleaned very disappointing be long time before we go again

Have not been here for a while, the food was EXCELLENT, piping hot and a good choice of menu .Waitress very pleasant. Interior very pleasant .The only 2 things that were a problem, the swing door @ the front of restaurant opens outwards which would have been a problem for my wheel chair friend if I had not been there, and the disable toilet / baby changing area needed a GOOD CLEAN which was reported to the manager on duty.

Do not go near this restaurant. The service is appalling. Its not the first time we have been made to wait at every stage of our visit. The excuse is that staff phoned in sick, but they never have enough staff on purpose to cut corners.

No acknowledgment when waiting to be seated when the staff walked past numerous times. Busy but only two waitresses on, why?

First time I have been disappointed with my meal. Frustrating as it was a Mother’s Day treat. I had the tandoori spice chicken burger. It was tasteless + over cooked. My husband was disappointed with his ribs as they lacked any flavour. Fortunately my mother enjoyed her meal but waited an extremely long time for her ice cream.

There were three of us and we all had the special lunch which was an excellent price. I had rump steak which I like very rare and it was perfect. Our son asked for his steak to be rare and that was how it came. We were served by Gaynor who was very friendly and efficient.

Don't be put off by the scaffolding on the outside. This doesn't detract from the food or service. Not a place for a posh nosh but an excellent mid week meal can be enjoyed at a reasonable price and relaxed atmosphere. Service excellent - thanks again Emma.

What ever the night in the week, food is always cooked to perfection. Great location and well laid out restraunt. Serving staff are very professional and attentitive.

Our server was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The food was good, I had lasagna and my husband had steak, we both had apple crumble for dessert. We didn’t wait too long and we weren’t rushed, a very good experience.

We always have a good meal,here but last night was exceptional. The waitress was attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Accommodated a wheelchair and even provided a birthday candle for my daughter when desserts were ordered. Steaks cooked to perfection I've rare which is difficult to get these days because of "health & safety."

Whenever we go to this restaurant, the staff are very attentive and you don’t even need to ask for a refill drink, they just bring more as your glass is emptying. We were served today by Gaynor who was fabulous.

3rd time I’ve stopped in here now when passing through. Foods always great and beautiful view from the garden and friendly happy staff, can’t fault it

This is a place we visit regularly as the staff are friendly and it's good value for money. However not impressed with them last night. Just after 6pm and they'd run out of rump steaks! It's a steak house - how can you run out of rump steak!!! They offered the sirloin at the same price, which was very pleasant. However, just 45 mins later when the bill arrived they had forgotten what was said and tried to charge the higher price.

We visited this evening for dinner with an old friend. We waited for a while for our order to be taken, our server was abrupt and said ‘you ready’ he took our order. They didn’t have the starter for one of our party which was fine he changed his option. The starters arrived however my partner said his starter was chewing he had the steak fondue. We hadn’t finished our starter before our mains arrived. These were cleared even though we weren’t finished. Our mains were lovely and hot, we ordered puddings which arrived. One of our party had the costa coffee and pudding the coffee ordered was a cappuccino however looked nothing more than a milky warm coffee. Overall food was good but not exceptional. The service however was not up to scratch - they may have been having an off evening however on another occasion it may have been completely different.

Visit here regularly and always have great service from Gaynor. Food is hot and tasty and the portions generous. Nicely situated on the edge of the famous racecourse. Would recommend this place to anyone whether families, couples or groups. Looking forward to my next visit.

So this is a local for us and I will keep this short and to the point! Food is great no fault there and a fair choice for all tastes, service very good can’t fault the staff, decor is now in need of an update!

The service is is terrible. From the moment you walk through the door to be greeted by.... nobodoy for 5-10 mins. And it's downhill from there. Food is average at best. I know it's "only" a Beefeater!

Had hoped to eat at this place today with the family as Beefeater is good value for money . Disappointed that unable to take take dogs in despite being in a area of natural beauty for dog walkers . Sitting outside was an option but not in January !

Went here on the 23rd December for a late lunch. We're shown to our table & looked after by a young cheerful waiter. I opted for the haddock & chips, with the other 2 in the group going for the mixed grill & the burger. No complaints from any of us. Good, wholesome food. Polite & attentive service. Will definitely be back soon.

You just carnt go wrong with Beefeater. I go quite regular and the food is delicious and staff polite.

I chose the Festive Fair vegetarian yesterday and it was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. It gave me indigestion. A mushroom tart was very strange and tasted disgusting, veggies were OK, and a Yorkshire pudding was like shoe leather. Never again. Service was pleasant but incredibly bad food.

Went here yesterday. The manager is fantastic and the food is fabulous. I would recommend this more than the derby arms.

This is a local favourite. Just popped in for a quick lunch. Sat in the conservatory overlooking the Downs. Served by friendly helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

Visited on Friday evening after receiving a voucher for the launch of the festive menu. Very good value and beautiful steak. 3 course for 19.99 is a bargain, and the food was all cooked perfectly Will certainly be back before Christmas

Came in for a drink with family as the view over London was stunning and the staff were so friendly we thought we’d stayed for food, fully steak was beautiful, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Great place will be back

Called in here for a quick drink. Thought about eating until we saw the state of the place. Menu was covered in food, dirty plates everywhere, floors looked like they needed a good Hoover, toilets blocked and didn't flush. We also had to move seat as there were so many flying insects! Honestly we have never drank a drink so quickly! Really disgusting!

Have eaten here many times and found it good valu for money.

A spur of the moment decision meant we stopped here again for lunch. So glad we did. Although staffing seemed limited, the service was excellent. Many thanks to Gaynor. The new menu well worth trying, and with the 40% discount this week and the free bottle of wine with beefeater loyalty card, the meal was extremely good value for money. Well done. Went to the Beefeater today the second time in 12 days as the first visit was so good. Excellent food,faultless service Gayor our waitress couldn’t have been more attentive. We will be back there soon.

We live locally and this is a handy location for an off-the-cuff lunch and, on this occasion, we had a 40% off mains discount voucher. Food was fine, although my wife’s tuna was a little dry. The scallops starter was very enjoyable. Service was excellent and our waitress, Gaynor, couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. Overall, a good experience.

We Visited the Beefeater Tattenham Corner with the family today at lunchtime.

After my eldest son's first day at school he had the choice of whatever he wanted and he fancied ribs. We've been to Beefeaters years ago but thought we'd give this one a go. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very cheerful Gaynor. Although i think it had just opened, we were shown to our seats and given the menus. We went for the mixed platter sharer with extra ribs and a portion of calamari to start. It was all lovely. The batter/breadcrumbs on the mushrooms/chicken wings etc was so nice, possibly the nicest I've had. It was clean and crisp, just what we like. The same with the calamari. For mains i was stumped what to have. Was recommended the Argentinian steak by Gaynor. A very good choice. It came with an adequate portion of sweet potato fries and some long stem broccoli which was amazing. It came with a Malbec sauce which was nice but I'm personally not fussed by sauce with steaks, and this steak certainly didn't need an accompaniment. My wife had a double burger which I tried and was lovely, and of course she tried and my son had cod bites which was equally as lovely. Desserts were nice too, had the churros sundae and rocky road. Gaynor was attentive but not imposing. They only thing we were disappointed with with that we'd not been here before, but definitely will be returning in the near future! She also offered us the Beefeater membership card to get some points for our next visits. They do a £5 menu which seems good value, but maybe some other offers would be good too!

Very reasonably priced lunch with views over Epsom Downs. We were served by Gaynor who was very helpful.

Invited to celebrate an engagement we spent an enjoyable evening with family at this Beefeater. Quite a while since going to one. The service was really welcoming and friendly. Polite and helpful team. Good choices on menu. Food excellent, hot, tasty, just right portions and hot plates.
